    First tray of crabs.
    Jeff B.

It's hard sometimes being the non-crab person at an AYCE crab feast. At some places, the menu includes only fried apps or fried or highly sauced entrees. But I was able to find an entree here that was delicious, filling and fairly (depending on your choice of sides) healthful. First, the crabs. The place is crowded. We waited about 30 minutes outside (alternative is the inside bar) and got a table. We ordered our meals and within three minutes, my partner had a tray of 6 nice-size blue crabs in front of them. The sides (the AYCE comes with fries, hush puppies and cole slaw) came a few minutes later. My entree - grilled chicken breast with 2 sides - came a few minutes later. Two large moist breasts, fries, veggies (veggies add $2) and I ordered a third side - cole slaw for extra $2.95. If you are a non AYCE crab person like me, you understand the need to pace yourself during your meal - hence, the extra side. : ) I really enjoyed my meal and my partner the crabs. The service was exceptional - both water glasses and refilling those crab orders. My partner didn't have to ask for crab refills. Before they were done with one order, the server was ready with more to add to the platter. The server was very pleasant and seemed to know most of the customers in the place. There's an enthusiasm and positive vibe here that is really great. An excellent meal and overall good experience. And that's speaking as a non-crab person!

    The deviled eggs are delish!

Tried Surfing Crab for the first time today. We got there at 3:45 on Sunday. The bar was completely empty so we sat there. I prefer bar sitting so I was very happy about it As soon as we sat down our server, Kyle, almost immediately came over and attended to us. He was great offered appropriate suggestions and gave helpful hints. One thing we learned was that it's better to reserve/order your crab beforehand. Especially during summer peak season. Since we didn't know (and therefore didn't order in advance, we had to settle the select size (12 ) of crab. Select is the smallest size, then medium, large and extra large. Next time we go there we'll order ahead. The 12 crab was MORE than enough for two people. We had deviled eggs and a half poumd of shrimp for appetizers. We had 4 beers, 2 cocktails and a dozen select size (small) crab. The bill was under 200 before tip. All in all I would recommend Surfing Crab. It's super crowded during the tourist season so be ready for a wait depending on the time you get there. Once you're in, you'll totally enjoy yourself. Very laid back and chill. You might even see the owners working with everyone else..

Another bang up find! This place is the real deal. Get there early and HUNGRY! All the staff were cool and friendly. The decor was simple and not over the top "oceany" as some tourist traps. I saw they were inland which I like. I try to avoid the neon wharf spots and I was so happy. I sat at the bar, which was full of welcoming locals and a tired traveling clown (me). The gravelly-voiced owner of I thing third generation paused a few times between sending out trays of steaming crab. He was a perfect blend of warm-hearted welcoming and hard-bitten tyrant. I went for the all you can eat feast at $69 (prices always subject to change) which comes with fries, hush puppies and coleslaw. I was assured the sizes were running large and it wasn't just a line. I was happy with the mediums. All I can say is they do crab RIGHT here. Fresh steamed ONCE so the meat is incredibly moist and succulent. And they just kept coming in trays of four. I ended up having a dozen which made it a deal at $69 compared at the price of a dozen à la carte. But who cares?!? They are blue crabs steaming and fresh and it was a feast. Side dish commentary: the fries are excellent. None of this cardboard tasting shoestrings. They were thick cut with skin on! The hush puppies classically tasty and the Cole slaw was not over dressed. Bonus!!! I can't wait to go back and try the she-crab soup and the bread pudding (highly recommend by my neighbor at the bar who is a local restaurateur).

We were in for a family dinner and overall had a great experience! Jeff, our server, was friendly and efficient. He made some good recommendations and was accommodating to a picky eater. The Perl and eat shrimp were large and flavorful. Although we didn't order any, the crabs looked amazing - definitely a mistake on my part to not order any. My wife had the tuna stack and it was great!! Will definitely be back next time we're on the east coast.

Loved this place! We didn't order the crabs but it was fun watching others enjoy them. May try it the next time. Never had them before. I had the jumbo shrimp. They were the biggest shrimp I've ever had and absolutely delicious. Husband loved his broiled crab cake. So much lump crab. Fun place. Super sweet waitress. Quick seating and service. We will be back!

Shrimp Po Boy. Look at the size of those shrimp! The potato salad was also amazing. Everything was delicious!

We tried this restaurant tonight after being at the Sea Witch Festival all day. This was the second time we came here to eat, although the lot was so full the first time that we left and went somewhere else. This time we stayed and were we ever glad. First of all, the food was phenomenal! I ordered their shrimp Po Boy with a side of potato salad. The shrimp on the Po Boy were huge! I've never had shrimp that large on a Po Boy before. Absolutely amazing! The potato salad was also incredible, and home made. A perfect meal for a share over $20. My wife got the blackened Mahi Mahi with the potato salad and loved it. For dessert, she got a piece of their Lemon Crème Cake and it was delicious. We couldn't be happier with our meals, and the service was also on point. I'm only sorry that we left without eating the first time we came here. I highly recommend it.

Read the reviews and thought I would stop in. Was very happy I did. It is a no frills looking place with outstanding food and service. Our starters of Steamed shrimp and deviled eggs could no have been better, the eggs were perfectly cooked with a sprinkle of bay seasoning and the shrimp were large and firm. My crab cake entree came with two large cakes filled with jumbo lump crab and almost no filler. The hush puppies were crunchy on the outside and tender inside. Excellent The grilled scallops were huge and perfectly cooked. They were accompanied by string beans with roasted peppers and slaw made with fresh ingredients. Dessert was one of the best Key Lime Pies I have had outside of Florida. Will definitely stop in again

Their perfect Italian sub rolls are packed with turkey breast! The Italian and Italian with prosciutto on top are absolutely spot on! To be fair, I've sampled the cheesesteaks twice and both times I found the steak used delicious but lacking in volume. I'm used to real Philly steaks which overflow with chopped steak- these steaks kinda got lost in the roll. I do visit often for the subs but not the steaks.

The bad news is that the bread, although it appears to be fresh, is thick, tasteless and hard. I ate half of my sandwich, chewing and tearing at the bread. I asked for extra condiments (mustard and vinegar), but the bread remained hard and overly-chewy. For the second half, I ate the insides of the sandwich (turkey, lettuce, tomato, onion and sweet peppers) and threw the bread away. All of it. My partner took half of their sandwich to-go and plans to skip the bread when they finish it later. A sub shop should have excellent bread. Or at least decent bread. This is neither. I would give the place 4 - or even 5 - stars for the nice size sandwich, but the bread was really a problem for me. The place is clean and comfortable. There's a soda dispenser with free refills.

With the classic deli line ready to serve you meats and deli treats, plus a restaurant with decor worth grabbing a seat and enjoying your favorite Jewish classics! The walls are covered in caricatures of famous Jewish actors, singers, athletes, and more. The local artists made great depictions of each, but they do have a cheat sheet for anyone that wants to figure out who they all are. The menu is huge... and everything is amazing! We have had the latkes and kugal before, but this time we ordered the Onion Dog, Paul's Reuben, and the Onion Ring/Fries Combo. Don't worry - they start you off with a complimentary bowl of pickles... with a full barrel in plain sight if you have the gumption to need a refill. The Onion Dog is a 1/3 pound beef dog spliced open for a drizzle of onion marmalade and topped with fresh fried onions. I swear this marmalade needs to be jarred asap - as it makes the hot dog one of my favorite bites! Paul's Reuben is clearly a dinner favorite! With 8 oz of fresh sliced corned beef piled high and a delicious sauerkraut and dressing! The Onion Rings/Fries combo seems simplistic, until the heaping basket comes your way - and the more than unique thick spiraled fries. Never have I ever seen these... and they are definitely something to stop in for all on their own. The waitresses are just great people. Asking about your vacation, giving pro tips on how to make your order perfection, and just caring about you like a family member would at a home cooked meal in your kitchen. If you dare have room, the desserts are sliced fresh from a display in the deli - I couldn't help but take pictures of the Skyscraper Cakes (Chocolate and Carrot options).
