The last two years I've come here things have changed in a sense from my first couple of visits. Last year I figured it was an outlier but after eating here Saturday and suffering the same fate I needed to update my review. Not much has changed with the ambiance - bar atmosphere, with each time there being a live music act when we came in to eat. As a party of 10 the last two years (a yearly trip) we were sat in front of the music. Not my favorite place as it's hard to have a conversation but the music was good. We had a younger waiter take care of us - we put in some drinks - I ordered a blackberry bourbon tea. It wasn't very sweet or flavorful. Almost like it was watered down. Meh. We put in several apps to start our meal: crab pierogis, cheesesteak egg rolls and crab dip. The crab pierogis sounded good - but the sauce on them or around them was watery. Another person in our party got the crab corn chowder- it was watery. Chowders are thicker, not thin. The cheesesteak egg rolls were good - had a nice flavor to them. The crab dip was very very flavorful - maybe one of the best on the island I have had. For my meal I ordered the Baltimore bird which is fried chicken topped with crab dip. It was a HUGE piece of chicken and looked great -- then I took a bite. The chick was raw inside. Hoping it was just a part of the breast I bit into another part - middle chicken was pink and raw. What makes matters even worse was the Heinz ketchup bottle on the table - billed as a Pittsburgh bar - did not have Heinz in it. Ketchup was way too sweet - definitely off brand. We shared desserts as a table - the brownie Ala mode and the tower brownie cheesecake. Both were.. well small. Good taste but, limited. Again - just ok overall. read more

We came just looking to grab a drink, so I didn't look at the food menu. Regardless, their cocktail prices are very reasonable. I got cheeseburger, with side of fries for about $19, if you choose to get it with chips it's $16 fries added is +3. Fries were hard burger was good, good thick sliced pickles. Can pick your own toppings. Their wings can use some more seasoning, little flavorless. Food came out quick, our server was nice. I loved the vibe of this spot. We had a great outdoor dining experience served with amazing food. The crab dip was delicious but honestly that bread on the side was YUMMY! Unlike so many places in Ocean C Unlike so many places in Ocean City, this place was fast and delicious. I had the OC Steak and Cheese. It was a little different than I've had in the past. But it was still pretty good. Kids had chicken strips and a burger. Both were good too. My wife had a chicken sandwich. She loved it. The fries were also good. Ranch was made in house - not Kraft thank goodness. (Lot of OC restaurants use bottled Ranch for some reason.) All in all it was one of the best dining experiences we had at Ocean City. read more

If I could post without selecting a star, I would have. The waitress was amazing, so service was great. The interior was good...loved all the photos and corky signs. But the food...was HORRIBLE. My cheesesteak eggrolls were burnt and there was a bug in my daughter's juice (found after drinking it to the halfway point). Ratings are sometimes not that important in tourist areas as long as they have their clientele that comes regularly it's all they care about. We made this our first dinner stop on our first trip to Ocean City. This is going to be one of those restaurants that's hard to beat. The food was really good, service was fantastic and we all left full. We opted to sit outside and luckily the weather held off and we only were sprinkled on for a couple minutes. The ambiance inside was one of a pretty typical bar/grill and was clean and well maintained. Our youngest ordered the cheeseburger and fries off of the adult menu since they don't have an option on the kids menu. He ordered it medium and it came out closer to well done. It came with chips but he opted for the crinkle cut fries which were okay. Our oldest ordered the pepperoni pizza. He thought it was, in his words, "delicious". I thought it was heavy on the cheese and light on the sauce, but that's just my preference. We ordered the gooey cheese bites as an appetizer and it really kicked off the meal. Basically you're getting mini mozzarella sticks. They were a little greasy inside but the cheese was gooey and the marinara that came with it was good. I tried the "big daddy" fish sandwich. Fried grouper was the fish and the sandwich came with the usual toppings. Lettuce, tomato and a chipotle aioli that should be bottled and sold. The sandwich lived up to its name and was a meal in itself, which I made the mistake of getting fries on the side and didn't eat more than 4-5. The stars of the show were the fish tacos my wife ordered at the recommendation of our server. The fish was fried and basically a small clone of my sandwich, but the portions combined with l the aioli made for one of the best fish tacos I've had. Sweet, tangy with just the slightest hint of heat. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for a great meal. The price is a little steep but compared to other restaurants in the area it's a good deal. read more

First time dining at Dry Dock 28 and wasn't expecting a paired down menu but summer season menu will come soon and we were told more things and descriptions of items are on the summer menu. Reason I mention is if you are new here as we were, choices are limited and the colorful names of some of the items (Tiny Hiny sandwich) lead you to have to ask, if you dare. And BTW it's like a cheese steak, but with pulled chicken, melted cheese and jalapenos in case you're curious as we were. We came because the advertised special was a hand battered softshell crab sandwich which my husband is fond of, but this one was disappointing. The Crab was overly battered, too crispy and lacking flavor. The fries that we ordered at additional cost WITHOUT ANY notification on the menu (again this menu had no descriptions and no listing of sides) and our waitress only asked if we wanted chips, fries or tater tots without mentioning that they were at added cost. The Pork BBQ was DELICIOUS! Portion size was very good, fries were the crinkle kind and I enjoyed but I needed ketchup on them. Temperature of fries when served were not hot, just warm, so they probably were under the heat lamp waiting to be served. The Pork BBQ unfortunately is NOT a regular item on the menu, so that was disappointing as I REALLY enjoyed and look for good ones. Lots of flavor to the meat and the sauce and very lean and tender. Little disappointed that there was very little coleslaw added to the top as it also was very delicious made with slices of carrots too. Service was very good, very attentive and timing of food after ordering was appropriately timed. Place seemed clean, tables were properly cleaned after patrons left, restrooms (both men & ladies) were clean. They had separate men, women & unisex available rooms. The restaurant is a very large space and there's a smaller outdoor patio with umbrella's to protect you from Sun. Bar atmosphere with large TVs lining ALL the walls. We will be back to see & try the summer regular menu items. read more

I was somewhat confused.... and still kind of am. Is this Buxy's new bar? Is it part of it? Is it one establishment or two? From what I can tell, the two places share a menu, or at least have a lot of overlap. If it's now basically one menu, I'm a bit disappointed since the whole reason for our visit was how impressed we were with Buxy's Salty Dog's old menu. By comparison this one is pretty scaled back - more of a lite fare feel too it. Since the Salty Dog side was too crowded, we were directed to Dry Dock. We split a Panini and the Rockfish/fries basket with Chipotle Aiol. Good - especially the rockfish but nothing to write home to mom about. I have to say, the whole experience was a bit tainted by the *extremely* loud sound system. You expect this to a degree at a sports bar but this was over the top. Stopped in during the endless summer cruising with my colleagues. The decor is pretty cool. A lot of vintage boat accessories. I had the cheesesteak and it was amazing. Best one I have had in OC. I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of one because our waitress was really pleasant and helpful. Not everyone was required to wear masks and the seating wasn't six feet apart. I know COVID has impacted the restaurant industry (and many others) they were working from one kitchen for two restaurants. Dry Dock 28 is clearly a bar food establishment meaning the food must taste good because the folks there are drinking or feeling tipsy. This was not the case for my guest and I thus for us the food was a big miss. Overly salty. I ordered the popcorn shrimp which were really over breaded. Then the meals... I ordered the cod sandwich. In my Oprah Winfrey voice "I LOVE Bread" but it was waaay too much bread on this sandwich. The fish itself lacked seasoning and tasted of frozen fish sticks pedigree. The Shrimp po' boy my guest had was also sub-par and featured bacon (which wasn't mentioned on the menu) and the bacon wasn't crispy. Any-who definitely a waste of money dining here. The outside seating had a terrible tiny bugs that were literally savage, apparently we were in there territory. Lol. This is a MUST miss! Perhaps the most forgettable experience I've had at a restaurant in a decade. We were wondering why this place was empty on July 4th in a beach town when everything else was packed. Food was unrecognizable, if it arrived at all or on time. Oh, the food was cold too. Avoid the cheesesteak. Had the consistency of canned cat food. Drinks were missed or made incorrectly. 9 patrons for dinner in our party and the chicken tenders were the safest bet and they sucked. McDonalds has nothing to worry about. Good news after dinner at this "restaurant" we can still go to McDonalds. $220 and 90 minutes gone forever! Interesting concept, 2 bars and restaurants owned by the same group. When you walk in you have the option of 2 menus. One is more of a sports bar with the feeling of being in Pittsburgh. They have Iron City beer on their menu and Primanti Bro's sandwiches for those that are familiar. We chose the side that had the seafood and build your own pizza side. We sat out on the patio and were greeted immediately by our server. The staff seemed to enjoy being there, sometimes you feel as though the staff is being held captive when you enter a restaurant. Service was fast but not too fast from start to finish. Tons of options on the menu and a great kids menu as well. Portions were large and the seafood was fresh. Decor is what you would expect for a beach town and if you want to catch a sporting event there are tons of large tv's inside. Plenty of seating for large groups as well. Highly recommend this place as the price point was very reasonable considering it was peak tourist season. Will definitely be back and probably try out the other side of the restaurant later this week. read more

The food is pretty good but take this as a warning. If you plan on watching the NFL on a Sunday, if the Steelers are on that is the ONLY GAME shown on the 15 out of 16 TVs. They have 16 good sized TVs but they won't move off the Steelers even if the TVs are next to each other. We asked to have a couple changed but was told that the games are set at 11am and can't be changed. They open at 11 so I'm not sure how to get a request in. But then a Dolphin fan sat down and he asked and his game was put on. Then taken off 20 min later to put on, you guessed it the Pitt game. We stopped here for lunch on. Friday afternoon. The inside was open which was nice on a hot day. Lots of bourbon if you are into that. We each ordered a different burger. The quinoa burger was interesting and I imagine enjoyable if you are looking for a vegetarian option. The restyles burgers were a bit chargrilled and overcooked for my liking. The fries were super salty. I also felt our waitress wasn't very attentive. With so many options in the area, I would suggest coming here for the bar not the food. read more

After being told by another place it would be an hour and a half, we decided to try it here. It's been on our list of places to dine out. I'm SO glad we tried it out here. We waited about 20-25 minutes at most. The host was incredibly friendly. We were sat at a reasonable time and our server was Mary. She was super attentive, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered the kids food and drinks first. The kids' food came super quick. We ordered a bulleit & orange crush. Both were SO good. We ordered the cheesesteak pierogies as an appetizer, which was plentiful. There were 7 and they were decent size. They also were incredibly flavorful. I ordered the chicken Cesar wrap & my husband had the Franco. Both were excellent!!! My husband and kids couldn't get over how good the chips were. We ordered a second round of drinks, with one being the grapefruit crush. BEST grapefruit crush ever. Also, you get to keep the cup it comes in (nice perk). Overall, I really enjoyed this place. The food was great, but the service was some of the best I've have over the years in coming here. The staff was just so friendly. The host did his absolute best to update us. Came in here thinking it was a decent looking place which it was. Ordered a cheesesteak and burger for my wife. The food came back within 1-2 minutes from ordering which made me a bit surprised because that meant the food was already waiting there, and it tasted like it. The burger looked like it was freshly microwaved and it tasted just like it. It was extremely dry and tasted like cardboard. The cheesesteak tasted a little better but you could tell it was also just rewarmed in the microwave, both served with stale potato chips. It was accompanied by a large bowl of shoepeg corn drowned in what I think was yogurt, sour cream and maybe mayo? (Think of a very tart and raw tasting cream of corn). Yuck.
