The logistics of buying are always taxing which is to say nothing of moving and initial setup. It was this "initial setup" where Auggie and his team's expertise shined to quickly bring our new home from an ominous "TODO list" to a place that we felt both comfortable and safe. Auggie started by first walking through the home with me and demonstrating his encyclopedic knowledge of all things pertaining to connectivity, audio & visual hardware, as well as monitoring & security. He not only used his knowledge to enumerate the options available to us but really demonstrated a commitment/empathy to our needs which were prioritizing safety, connectivity and then conservatively scaling into A/V options (having just dropped a lot of cash on a down payment). There was no upselling. He built us a min-viable plan while providing cost-tiered options thereafter (for us to both get a sense of trade-offs but also for us to have a sense of what to consider long-term). It felt selfish on my part in that I did not have to do deep research on these different subjects but rather I could pose my "stupid" and numerous questions to Auggie to be met with a quick reply that capably addressed my knowledge gap. He made it easy for us to decide to work with him. Once we aligned on scope, execution came next. On this side of things, there existed the same, relentless commitment to customer satisfaction. Despite having many concurrent projects at the time (also a good signal), they worked hard to set us up quickly after moving into our new home. The installation staff was prompt, diligent and professional in setting up our home but also very affable and patient with respect to walking me through how to understand and utilize our system. We are very happy in our new home thanks to Auggie and his team. There's more work to be done in the future and, based on our full experience, we will certainly call upon Auggie when that time comes

However, later found out that there was substantial damage done to one of the speakers I had installed (MSRP $999/each). I reached out to the owner and was told there was no way their team could've caused that damage and to return my products to the vendor. Pictures show this is clearly not an issue from use, as the driver is pretty much shoved in on one side. Notwithstanding, some of the work was not performed as initially discussed (i.e. ethernet cables to cameras were run outside instead of through soffits/attics), and the team was quick to make holes in the ceilings and walls (which ended up being in the wrong places). Given how things have shaken out, I cannot recommend this company for any work. Let the work speak for itself in the photos and see the other reviews online regarding damage. The free work Ron mentioned is shown below with the one ethernet cable hanging from the side of the house. I paid in full afterwards, so if I had high expectations or demands that were "met," I think the highest expectation I had was for them not to damage the very thing they're installing. I actually have texts from Mo partway into the installation where he essentially told me to install things myself because he thought they were too valuable for him to install (which was part of the services I hired them for). Also beware of some of the other positive reviews, as one just popped up that of course mentions "no holes" for similar set up and the initials match one of the employees on Yelp (Mo N.), but on Google and Thumbtack it shows two different names altogether for the same review. Seems like they're padding the reviews and photos so you won't see the work they did at my home.... They're also now threatening me via text to stop updating my reviews for calling them out. There's been a handful of 5 star reviews in the last 24 hours after posting my review used some old photos from their Thumbtack and website (which they removed and replaced).

Finally getting around to writing up a review for this company. They did an install for me about a…read moreyear ago and I wanted for us to experience it and use it for a while before taking the time to give it any thoughts. We didn't do an extravagant install, but we refurbished our finished basement into a family room theater with two large-screen TVs, surround sound, done theater style, and a heavy duty sound system for listening to our music. The rep (Dan) came out and sized up our basement and listened to my grandiose ideas about wanting three large screens and convinced me that two would make more sense. I have since come to agree with that notion. We worked out a layout of where TVs would sit, speakers would sit, and how the furniture would lay out in the room. I guess where the furniture will be plays a pretty big role in how they engineer the design of the overall system. Long story short, we installed a 65" UHD TV and a 48" UHD TV, along with 8 speakers that included a very powerful woofer and center speaker soundbar. They installed the speakers into the walls and ceilings and hid almost all wiring in the walls and ceiling. They programmed the receiver component so that it had all of the different surround sounds that would work in my basement. After they were done installing the tech stuck around and explained how to use it all and made sure I understood it. Since then, I've had an instance or two where I was confused or unsure how to switch from one surround mode to another, and after texting the owner of the company, quickly received a call to explain how to get the sound I want. Later on, without even knowing it, the owner went on to explain that my fancy receiver even had a Bluetooth connection so that I could just patch my phone music into our surround and blow the roof off of my house with my phone music collection. Since then, we occasionally do exactly that. Our rehabbed basement is now the centerpiece of our home. We absolutely love the job Audio Video Specialists did on our basement and it was for a very affordable price that I was able to pay interest-free over a span of a year. The interest-free financing was easy to get and not complicated. I highly recommend these guys. I used to avoid my basement. It's now my happy place. When we watch a movie downstairs now, we turn off all of the lights and it feels every bit like we're seeing the movie at the Elgin Marcus Theaters. Full surround sound and a huge, clear picture. Well worth the investment.

It did take some time getting all of the equipment & parts needed, so if you are looking to put in a system for a particular event, I would plan well-in advance. However, we were kept informed. The basement is not entirely finished because it is used mostly by my teenage kiddos & their friends, but we did want an outstanding entertainment system for them to watch movies & play games. We opted for a projector & screen. We also wanted to integrate the Philips Hue system for a backlighting on the screen that coordinates with the picture. He & his colleagues built speaker boxes for us & the frame behind the screen upon which the lighting strip would rest. It came out amazing! They did an outstanding job. One year later, and all is still running smoothly. I have not had to reach back out to them for anything so far, but I was left with a strong impression that if we needed help with anything we would just be able to call.
