Once he was here, we asked him his opinion on two wall switches in a different room that were not working, and he stayed longer (while I ran to Home Depot for new toggle switches) to fix both of them as well for just a little more added to our total. The fan install was a little more difficult than Ted anticipated, and it was an insane night in our home as well (my husband's car was at the shop and he needed it for work the next day so we had to get that taken care of while Ted was here working) - I'm sure he thought we were nuts, but he was very gracious and understanding about everything! The end results look great, and I am SO happy our light switches are working again - all of this was done for a third of the cost we were quoted by someone else to just do the install and paint the office ceiling (we ended up doing the painting ourselves anyway). We will definitely be calling on Ted in the future for all our other electical needs - he is knowledeable, quick, and neat. Thanks, Ted! Hired Twizted Home Entertainment through Thumbtack. I thought the team was generally good to work…read morewith while the install was happening, albeit a few issues here and there. However, later found out that there was substantial damage done to one of the speakers I had installed (MSRP $999/each). I reached out to the owner and was told there was no way their team could've caused that damage and to return my products to the vendor. Pictures show this is clearly not an issue from use, as the driver is pretty much shoved in on one side. Notwithstanding, some of the work was not performed as initially discussed (i.e. ethernet cables to cameras were run outside instead of through soffits/attics), and the team was quick to make holes in the ceilings and walls (which ended up being in the wrong places). Given how things have shaken out, I cannot recommend this company for any work. Let the work speak for itself in the photos and see the other reviews online regarding damage. The free work Ron mentioned is shown below with the one ethernet cable hanging from the side of the house. I paid in full afterwards, so if I had high expectations or demands that were "met," I think the highest expectation I had was for them not to damage the very thing they're installing. I actually have texts from Mo partway into the installation where he essentially told me to install things myself because he thought they were too valuable for him to install (which was part of the services I hired them for). Also beware of some of the other positive reviews, as one just popped up that of course mentions "no holes" for similar set up and the initials match one of the employees on Yelp (Mo N.), but on Google and Thumbtack it shows two different names altogether for the same review. Seems like they're padding the reviews and photos so you won't see the work they did at my home.... They're also now threatening me via text to stop updating my reviews for calling them out. There's been a handful of 5 star reviews in the last 24 hours after posting my review used some old photos from their Thumbtack and website (which they removed and replaced).

Even though I did not buy the equipment from innovative concepts they had no hesitation about hooking up my speakers. Within 30 minutes(probably less) Calvin called and asked questions and his demeanor was calm and reassuring. The Chicago Can't Do is not in the vocabulary with Calvin. He came in and hooked up my speakers and 2 subwoofers and calibrated them. He knows what he's doing. He had to go to Walmart and get a wire for one of the amps. He did so with no complaints. Then we tested the speakers. The sound quality was amazing. Of course watching movies was the main purpose for the new receiver and speakers. I had to try out music. I cued up Love to Love You by Donna Summers. Calvin tweeked my receiver to play stereo when playing music. This was like being in a club with a great sound system. The sound quality was absolutely amazing for an Apple Music song. The price was reasonable. And the service excellent. Calvin recommended getting a 2 channel amp to maximize my systems capabilities. This saved me 1500 dollars because he was praising the virtues of Marantz receivers and I was ready to buy in my next pay check. Then he thought about it and recommended the 2 channel amp even though I had been willing to buy the expensive receiver. This shows that Calvin and his company are trustworthy.

When he came back in, he listened to what we were there for and showed us upstairs to one of the listening rooms. He patiently answered approximately five million questions from my husband and, as luck would have it, what they had on display almost exactly matched what we were looking for. They were able to to get fiddly with the details of what looking at side panel options and determining how the tv mount connects. It was a no brainer to make our purchase from Simply Stereo. He also originally said they could work with and around the scaffolding we had up but then quickly changed his mind deliberately delaying our job. Every mistake they make they blame someone else. They Say my roofer took their product out and tried to reinstall but broke it. They are trying to charge me for this when I have documentation that my roofer wasn't there the day they claim this happened. It was actually the same day he took out the stuff they his people installed in the wrong space. They sold us a product without a detailed explanation on how it works. they said they could add up lights without ever telling us that the up lights are a completely different product that works on a completely different platform and app. the intent of my original request was to have everything work in one app. This is very frustrating and This is very very poor customer service. It should have been explained in explicit detail. their people installed where it wasn't supposed to be installed and they left huge holes in my brick. It's still not patched as he said it would be. The lights worked for one day and have not worked since. My list goes on and on and if I could give them -5 I would. This has been a very negative experience.
