I understand that there are certain items that need to be charged for under this category I've experienced this at other shops but not virtually 30% of the bill. Needless to say I am done there. Would not recommend this shop unless you are willing to spend $30 to get in the door.

It's hot, it's cold, it's dirty, customers usually don't know jack and are suspicious and hate paying big bucks usually via ignorance and the story goes on and on. If you find a stella shop stick with it and gift them occasionally. Began having service done at the PP a little over a year ago. Reason: I had a 2010 Ford Fusion inspected at another local garage and some additional service requested. I was satisfied for the most part. But one thing stood out from the service. I requested a transmission fluid and filter change. The owner said he would not recco it until I had the Trans cooling line replaced as it was leaking. Total line and replacement cost was $650.00. I fell out of bed! The section of the line that was leaking was a small rubber section at the radiator. This is a long dual line with a 6" rubber section. Very expensive and labor to install. He showed me where it was leaking. I passed on the line. The car is 12 yrs old. I won't keep it more than 2 more yrs. then another car purchase that's 2 yrs or less old. With that in mind on to a 2nd opinion. I ended up two wks later at the recommendation of my son at the PP. I explain. He gets his LED headlamp and looks down at the line. Oh I see it. Small leak. I can replace another rubber section that will last as long as you have the car. $100! He asks when was the last time you changed the trans fluid. Never! I'll change it for you if you waive any issues after the change. I say why? He explains. I don't get the trans change. I still think why? A couple of wks later on YouTube my favorite Scotty Kilner the Toyota/Lexus guy (most reliable cars ever made) made a video on why not to change trans fluid if you never changed it over 100K miles. I look further and it's true. You should not. If you do save the old fluid. These guys at the PP know their stuff. They realized and were in sympathy of my thoughts: it's an old car and it's going soon. Some places only repair how the OEM engineers designed it and some improvise. Which way is correct? As a matter of (fact) it depends on the issue and the age of the car; Secondly, the original design is not always the best way or the only way to repair; (watch Ray Rainman on YouTube); Thirdly, if another way is just as good or better and you can save the customer hard earned cash, that's just good business sense and a win-win for all. Few think outside the box while others just follow the original design. This one thing as well as quality service, won my business.

WARNING: SCAMMED BY RV DEALERSHIP…read more I was sold a 2022 Jayco RV that was advertised as "like new" and "fully functional." I paid $12,000 and made it clear I was new to RV ownership--thinking honesty would be met with integrity. I was so wrong. They offered "free delivery and setup" with a walkthrough. What I got? A guy who could barely park the RV (under 24 feet), no walkthrough, and no power cord--then he vanished. It was 98° and I had no electricity, no AC, no water. When I called, they told me "RVs don't come with power cords." When Amazon finally delivered one, I plugged it in... and WATER POURED OUT of the RV. The entire water heater was cracked. THAT'S why they didn't include a cord or setup--it would've been discovered instantly. When I contacted them, they: Insulted me Told me it's not their problem I'm a "newbie" Refused ANY refund And threatened to press harassment charges if I contacted them again They had the nerve to admit they knew it was defective before selling it! That's not all: Awning = broken Kitchen sink = broken TV = missing Multiple undisclosed defects They preyed on my inexperience, lied about the RV, and tried to intimidate me into silence. If you're a first-time buyer or shopping for an RV--do not trust a word they say. Get everything in writing, and assume you're walking into a scam. #RVScam #JaycoRV #RVNightmare #ConsumerFraud #RVLife #BuyerBeware #RVAdvice #RVCommunity #RVNewbie #RVFail #ScamAlert #RVDealershipFraud

Until 3 days after we pulled from the lot "sold as is" and we were over come with the awful stench of DOG URINE . We put the inside under a black light after dark and it looks like several dogs pissed every where inside the van. We wanted to have the van property cleaned and detailed, but we had (3) quotes with the cost to do it right at $1,500 and the detailers stated that they must remove the carpet from the van to get all the bacteria out of the carpet and the floor under the carpeting, and that they need the car for 48 hours to do it properly and ensure they get the stink out permanently. We called Merchants Manager of Internet sales and their Service Mgr, and we walked thru the 3 quotes with them to see if they would even consider splitting the cost. They refused but did agree to clean it, but they did not do it properly, they had the car for 12 hours. When the wife goes to pick it up she is sold a load of BS from the Service Manager. The stench is back now that the car is sitting in the sun, and Merchants is not returning the wife's phone calls. We are just at the beginning of a one man and woman very public campaign of transparency and how they hid this condition from us. The beauty of our campaign for Merchants transparency is not going to cost us a cent, and yet Merchants will never be able to quantify how many used car sales they may have lost out on. If you are in the neighborhood keep your eyes open for Transparency the signs will be very visible and many.
