Came in after golfing one day around 3:30pm on a Friday. The place seemed really busy but it's so huge you can't really tell. There was only one bartender and she was serving the whole place practically. Lucky for her some more staff showed up and she got some help. They have some really good beers on tap. My buddy liked they had bud light on tap. I got the 22 oz Boneyard and it tasted good and was really cold too. I got the pork quesadilla with some of the happy hour onion rings. They forgot my onion rings when they delivered my quesadilla so they gave me a huge batch of onion rings in a to go box for free. Lol I was like right on. They were hot crispy and delicious. My quesadilla was pretty good. It was huge. I could only eat one quarter of it. It was the cheesiest quesadilla I have ever had. The pork tasted pretty good. My buddy liked his wings but he said they might have been overcooked a little bit. Our bartender was the bomb and so was her sidekick bartender/ dish washer. read more

I wasnt wowed and I wasnt disappointed. Overall service was good. Decently quick and did check in a few times as expected. The food was fine, not amazing but what I would expect from a sports bar. I had The Side Chick, chicken sandwich and it was large enough for 2 meals so the value was there. The ambiance is pretty loud, it's a sport bar. Food was perfect! Onion rings, to the mac with beef brisket, to the Bloody Mary. Service was great our waitress was perfect and nice and so helpful. Ordered a chicken sandwich burger was salty, but otherwise the rest of the food we ordered was good. Garlic fries, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, to a 22oz apple cider. was all worth the time we were there. Waitress took the chicken sandwich back took it off our order on the bill, and there was no rudeness. It was slow not super busy for a Saturday. Got seated super fast. Lots of TVs, video games for kids. Family friendly bar. Highly recommend and now can cross this place off my list. Will be coming back again maybe during football season. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would do that. Everything we ordered was messed up. We ordered a tall double amaretto sour and received a short single. The server has no idea what an amber ale was and has to go ask the bartender. We ordered "Hooligan Chips", which are chicharrones. We received potato chips. They fixed the order. We ordered steak bites and they failed to bring utensils, so we had to sit and wait for a server to come back around. By that time, they were cold. The worst part? First time here & safe to say...I will not be back. Upon entering, signs say "Seat yourself & a server will be with you" so we sat in the patio. No one came to serve until I went in and asked politely about service (~20 mins) They informed me that they do not serve outside on the patio, but would come out since business was slow. Waiter made some passive/sarcastic comments when ppl were ordering (i.e., looked at my husband & said he needs to "sit in the sun" because he's "too white"; someone ordered fries and they said "regular fries? those are dry ass boring fries"). They also mentioned deserving a "$100 tip" several times because they were serving us on the patio (the bill was $120). Giving them 2 star because the food was good enough. Ordered the blackened chicken sandwich (told me sides were extra but menu clearly states otherwise). Ordered two drinks -- mango margarita & a strawberry cocktail. Those were tasty! Hooligans has a great atmosphere for sports lovers. I always have great service and good food. Ordered the peanut bacon burger which was well sauced and Tator Tota which I highly recommend over their fries. Lots of TV screens to watch multiple sports. The only thing I like about this place was all the TV's they had. Ordered the tri tip dip, wife had a patty melt. I ordered tarter sauce for my fries. When they brought it out, the tarter sauce looked like a cup of watery sauce. They brought a new one out that looked like tarter sauce. The patty melt did not look like a patty melt. I had never been here before though drove here to watch a game, and I'm glad I did. They have lots of screens, booths, tables, and a big bar. They also have pool tables. I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries. The meal was fantastic and the price was $13.95, which is very reasonable in this region. My server was nice, helpful, professional, and did a great job. Long review over 4 visits... Tried this place on a whim during Happy Hour first two trips. Tried lots of different appetizers and drinks were had. First two trips were younger gentlemen that waited on us. Drinks were never dry and all the food was great. Everything on the HH menu was tried in the first two trips for the most part. Nothing but good eats and service and everyone was happy. Third trip regular hours with great food. Tried Mac n Cheese, and a couple Burgers and good stuff. Young lady that helped us was pretty bad on the service side. Slow, didn't seemed engaged at all. Wanted more drinks and got them only when I asked for the check. My order was answered with a laugh from her which I thought was odd? Could have taken much better care of her tables and we would have had at least one more round of drinks. Place was not busy which baffled me after great service first two visits. It was a bummer as we are bug on service. I usually stay away after crap service but thought we would try again for HH. Greated with a smile and had great food and outstanding service tonight. If the manager reads this you should thank Talia B for treating us great and making up for the last visit. This place has the worst service of any bar/restaurant in Vancouver. This is the second time that I visited this place. The service was bad the previous time so I sat at the bar hoping the service would be better this time. Boy was I wrong!!. I entered and sat at the bar. I was the only one at the bar..Multiple employee walked behind the bar but none of them looked up or even acknowledged that I was there. After about 10 minutes, an employee does come overs and asked want I wanted. I told her a beer and a menu. She gets my beer and menu. Long story short....20 minutes later she comes back and ask what else do I want. I inquire why it too so long for her to get back to me. She responded to me with an attitude saying she had other customers. Unfortunately, I watched her having extended conversations with co-workers clearly that were not work related. Apparently she considers that customer service too! To sum up my experience: Very poor customer service again Missing strong leadership in key positions Employees that hate their jobs Great place if you like poor customer service and long wait time! read more

First time coming here. I will say this was a Sunday afternoon. There is a ton of TV's and lots of opportunities to watch different games going on. They have a large number of taps available. So we sat a few minutes late. The other half of our party had already ordered. 12-15 minutes to help clear off a second table. No drink orders in that time. Another 14 minutes or so to order drinks and food. I had ordered a single beer and it seemed another 15 or 20 minutes. Our waitress seemed a little scattered. I walked up to the bar and asked about my beer. She said, oh the bar is backed up. About 2 minutes later I got my beer. Shortly after that time our food arrived. Mushrooms and pizza were hot. Our nachos were cold. Cheese had already started to harden. So it felt like our order was forgotten. From my observation, the other waitress working the section, regularly checked the tables right next to us. It seemed to me our server was overwhelmed. Food was decent. My wife was angry enough she didn't want to eat the nachos, and from the long wait times we didn't want to order anything else, or complain. The servers seemed to share the section and every other table was either our server or the other waitress working the section. We did not see our waitress very often at all. I think this is probably a great place to visit, just be wary of busy times. I feel the service is mixed. I would say your best bet is probably sit at the counter, but hard to do when sitting with a larger party or with kids. As is, I'm not sure I'd return to this restaurant. read more

I was there with friends in July. I was fiddling with my rings and left them on the table. I went back, was told they had no rings. I'm so heartbroken because one ring was a 10 year anniversary band, the other gold with orange stones custom made for me by a dear friend. My wife and I checked the hours on their website before we drove over there. The website says they're open till 10 PM. We arrived at 9:12 pm and the employee (who appeared to be a manager ) told us that they were closed. I asked why are they closed when the website says 10 PM. The person was being rude with me and said they "can't update their website every day". However the hours shouldn't change ... EVERYDAY!! Great place in Vancouver near the mall area and the Heathman Lodge. I loved everything about this place from the outdoor seating to the ambiance and atmosphere. The only issue was the food. It had a great deal of promise and creativity which I love. Prices were great, happy hour was great, the employees were fantastic but the food was far too salty, obviously not fresh and overcooked and/or dry. I am not picky, I usually give 5 star reviews and if invited back specifically to review the food again because it was an off night or they made changes and improved quality, I will gladly re-review. But for now I give everything else 5 stars and recommend that you eat before or after your visit, just not here read more

I feel it's time to update this review. I had a bad experience way back. I have come back since. Over and over and over. That staff are always on point now. I have never found nachos anywhere else that compare to mountain of delicious toppings and cheese they serve. I can literally barely finish a half order. When I do stray from my nachos, the burgers are great. The meat is juicy and full of flavor. The tots are fantastic. I have sample a lot here and can honestly there is not a bad dish on the menu. First the good - the portions were large; the tots and fries were tasty and perfectly cooked; several beer options hubs loves; our waitress was sweet and working hard. The not so good - the portion size paired with the general squishy messiness of the ingredients made our burgers super sloppy and difficult to eat. Hubs had the mac & cheese burger, I had the avocado burger. The iced tea was terribly weak and not enjoyable at all. I asked for a glass of water instead. The waitress needed more help in her area, and the food took too long to come out. And lastly, the one bathroom was out of paper towels. We agreed as we left that if we *had* to eat there because friends chose it, we'd be okay with that, but we wouldn't actively choose to go there again on our own. read more

There's only one thing I hate more than giving poor reviews and that is an experience so bad that a poor review is unavoidable. We arrived here at 8:50PM. Took about 10 minutes to get greeted after we sat ourselves. Our server was very friendly and gave us menus and informed us that the kitchen was only making fried food. We ordered our drinks and so far so good. We get our drinks a short wait later and then the trouble starts. It took 35 minutes for our server to come back to take our food order. When we're about to order food, she had to go double check the kitchen was still able to make food; luckily, they could accommodate us. Then we went to order more drinks but were promptly informed that last call was at 9:15PM. I mean that's great and all, but where were you for 35 minutes to not inform us of this crucial piece of information? The food: I had garlic Parmesan wings which I was familiar with since I've been to Charlie's. They were what I expected so this is a good thing. We also got cheese sticks which were lukewarm and stiff as well as pickle spears and chicken tenders that were nothing to celebrate. Service: Our server was very friendly, but the quality and timeliness of service was atrocious. The huge mistake of missing last call as well as not even giving refills to those who asked is I feel, very basic standards of service that were missed. As we were leaving some of the staff were seated in the outside dining area and quite possibly drinking alcohol (after last call)? A few of us in our party got bumped and hit by employees moving chairs back into the building. Also, we got tired of waiting for the server to come back to collect our checks so we all went inside. Usage of masks at this establishment by staff was very hit or miss. Ultimately, this was a very poor experience. While I dislike giving bad reviews there were too many red flags to overcome this.
