Our reservations were at 730 am which was great. We were greeted with smiling faces and had a reserved table which sat 4 which made our time there warm and welcoming. I decided on Eggs Benedict and my husband ordered Ondus Breakfast. It's a cozy nook in the lobby of AC Hotel which is great for guests and those coming in to try something new. Presentation of our breakfast was pretty and colorful. We didn't take pics because we were ready to eat. Making reservations on line wasn't a problem. They did ask if we were celebrating any occasion and we were. My husband was treated to a mini light dessert of pound cake with homemade whipping cream strawberries and a few other berries. Restaurant does provide validation for your time there which is a grea perk. We may return to try your lunch or dinner. read more

My husband and I came here on a recommendation for a "great place for a lunch date." It did not disappoint. Our server for both lunch and dinner were prompt, answered all my questions regarding gluten and dairy on the menu. Ultimately, my husband ordered a burger and I had a salad with a side of steak medallions. The flavor was fantastic, dressing not heavy. Everything in my salad was crisp and fresh. My husband said his burger is the best in the county! We loved it so much that we decided to come back for dinner with friends. I had steak, broccoli and truffle fries. It was delicious. The broccoli was large and still had crunch. The chimichurriy was bright and flavorful. But I think the star of the show for dinner was the pizza! It was top notch. I love a lively, nice bar - restaurant vibe. This place had that . The view of the river is beautiful, nice outdoor seating. We were there about 6:00 pm and just missed happy hour. One fun drink our table ordered was the smoked old fashioned, great presentation. The appetizers were yummy and good portions . Nice flavor on each app and my favorite were the shrimp. Just happen to try this place this morning it was near our hotel. It is located in a boutique hotel on the Vancouver WA board walk. The boardwalk is nothing special but you do have views of the Columbia River. I ordered the steak and eggs and wife ordered y to be salmon Benedict. We not really enjoyed the good and the price was very reasonable for what we got. I would normally rate the good a 4 but gave them a 5 rating due to their service and how attentive and friendly our waitress was. I would definitely give them a try. read more

A very nice option if you're looking for happy hour with a view on the Vancouver waterfront. Located in the AC Marriott, this restaurant has a better-than-hotel-vibe about it. A nice sized patio and a lobby bar area, in addition to indoor seating means there's something for everyone. We sat outside on a lovely fall day because why wouldn't you? Service seemed disorganized. But then our server told us she was new, so maybe she just needed some ramp-up time. She was attentive once she took our orders. We had the sangria ($14 on HH), the chicken skewers, the hummus platter, and the frites prosciutto. The sangria wasn't heavy. It was light and refreshing. I'm not a huge chicken thigh fan so I would have enjoyed the chicken more if it had been breast meat, but the sauce was good and it came with pickled veggies, hummus and pita bread (so, you don't really need the hummus plate). The hummus plate was interesting. Two slices of grilled baguette, pickled veggies and a few other veggies. I wasn't sure how you were supposed to eat the hummus. The fries were yummy! But I didn't think the prosciutto went with them; I'd leave them off, if the chef was listening to me. Servings were generous and prices were decent. I'd come back. read more

Lots of Gluten Free options, and staff is very knowledgeable! They have a celiac friendly fryer, which is not that common. The calamari was a bit undercooked, with some doughy and unbattered pieces. The batter was fairly bland and could have been seasoned a little better. Not necessarily an item I would recommend. The fish and chips however were well prepared, and salmon was the catch. Well cooked and not overdone. The rigatoni was prepared well; pasta, flavorful vodka sauce, and grilled chicken was fantastic. The garlic bread was perfectly toasted, and paired well with the pasta. Overall, good quality and options, especially GF. The service was excellent; from hostess to wait staff and you can't beat the views of the Columbia River and Interstate bridge. read more

3.75 stars. Ambiance is nice, with views of the water and bridge. The entirety of the restaurant is much smaller than I imagined. It is located right in the lobby of the hotel. There's nice nautical-like modern decor however, and there's plenty of spacing so you don't feel crowded from the parties next to you. I tried the crab cakes which were very tender. They were reasonably flavorful but nothing that aspired to be super memorable. The mustard sauce they sat upon was delicious. I also liked the salad was dressed in a white balsamic vinaigrette that paired well with the richness of the cakes. My child tried the "hand-breaded chicken nuggets" but didn't care for the tempura-like coating. She did enjoy the fries though. There were a diverse and tempting array of items on the menu which made it hard to choose from. My husband wanted to try their "Marry Me Chicken" dish but the server mentioned it took a long time to prepare so he went with the burger. It was rather large and he said it was pretty good. I like that they switch up a traditional bun for a herby looking ciabatta looking bun. The bacon also looked thick and plentiful. There were some type of small insect, most likely fruit flies buzzing all over our table unfortunately. They were trying to land on our food and drinks. Prices were extremely expensive, and parking was medium-easy as you park in the hotel garage and get your ticket validated during your meal. Not sure I'd rush to come back while in Vancouver but it was a pleasant visit nonetheless. read more

Great new addition to the waterfront and especially to the AC Hotel. For me the stars were definitely the cocktails and the dessert! We were lucky to get here while it was still happy hour so we decided to order a lot of small plates to try different things. The Brussel sprouts and French onion dip in particular were my favorite! The Mac n cheese, pork belly, and wings were pretty good too but wouldn't necessarily order them again. The tropical lemon meringue is like nothing I've tasted - I never would've thought pineapple would go well with it but boy was I wrong. The chocolate cake was also decadent and heavenly. Great cocktail menu with good drinks. Service was top notch as well - friendly and attentive. I'd love to come back and sit out on the patio. read more

Ondus inside the AC Hotel along the newer (and always under construction) Vancouver waterfront. We popped in here for a quick breakfast as it was close to our hotel the Indigo and the online menu looked good. Staff were incredibly friendly and quickly seated us at a window table. We ordered the chorizo and chicken sausage scrambles which were both delicious. Coffee was strong as I like it. We noticed the guy next to us with a huge bowl of fruit which we ordered for "dessert" and took most home with us. Prices were good particularly on the fruit which could have cost more at the store quite honestly. We may be back before leaving for the weekend and want to try this hotel next time. read more

Worst service ever!! Went here for breakfast to celebrate my birthday with my family. The receptionist met us at the entrance and sat us down. That is when things went downhill. We sat for probably 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. The server dropped off menus. Another 20 minutes before someone came back to get our order. I noticed that hardly any of the other patrons had their food order (that is usually a bad sign). In addition the chef was coming out of the kitchen to deliver food to tables (another bad indication). Finally we ordered with our server. She took the order and left. With my order I asked to drink coffee and my son got a Coke. After waiting several minutes the server brought our drinks. She served my coffee black. I asked her to please bring cream and sugar. She returned with cream and no sugar. I asked for sugar and she brought it to me. We sat and sat and sat after that for at least 30 minutes before the chef came to deliver our food. Not once did the server return with drink refills. I also requested a side of salsa twice for my eggs and I never got it delivered. In the end my wife and son and I were disappointed with the staff and service at this restaurant. I know working in a restaurant is a very difficult and demanding job. However, when a patron is eating at an expensive and nice restaurant that he expects good service and it is as important as the quality of the food. When restaurant employees are expecting 18 to 22 percent tips and making hourly wages also the people they are serving expect the best. I will not be recommending or returning to this restaurant. Too bad it is a beautiful location. read more

Had a wonderful time here last night celebrating a birthday! Staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. They really know how to make someone feel special on their birthday! Made reservations online and noted we were celebrating a birthday. We arrived at our reservation time and were seated immediately with a 'happy birthday'. Love it when you don't have to remind restaurants and they pay attention to the reservation details. It was a warm night, so we ended up sitting at a table in the patio doorway where we could get a lovely waterfront view as well as the cool air-conditioning fan. It was the perfect table! After perusing the menu, we decided on the fried pickles, French onion soup and the salmon BLT. All the food was delicious, no complaints. After our plates were cleared, our server brought out a yummy birthday dessert with lit candle. The complimentary dessert was a warm chocolate brownie and vanilla bean ice cream with whipped cream and fresh berries. It was delicious, and big enough for two to share. Overall a wonderful experience. The staff was so friendly! They didn't rush us either, which I appreciated since I was catching up with a friend. I'll definitely be returning to try some of their other menu items. Highly recommend! *Also wanted to mention that the restaurant validates parking in the AC Hotel parking garage. Just bring your ticket with you to the restaurant and your server will stamp it. read more

Yes, this is a hotel restaurant, but being in a hotel is the only thing that makes it so. When it comes to quality and variety of food, and the excellent service, Ondus stands apart and I would stack it up against non-hotel restaurants. They are a scratch kitchen, meaning everything is prepared in their kitchen and it's noticeable. We ran into the chef and he said they make everything but "the bread and the ketchup!" For lunch, we had the meat lover's pizza (real pieces of bacon) and ceasars salad (with an actual anchovy) - both delicious. At breakfast, we got the benedict and spinach mushroom omelet that came with incredible potatoes (trying to figure out how to replicate these!) Also got a side of bacon, which was melt-in-the-mouth good. Super tasty. We only had breakfast and lunch, but we were very happy and would come back in a heartbeat. Every server was incredibly friendly and solicitous, checking in on us with Goldilocks frequency (i.e., just right). Prices were also reasonable and, if this isn't enough for you, how would you like a view of the river while you dine?!? There is a lovely patio but you don't have to sit outside to enjoy the view. read more

Got drinks at Ondus recently which is located on the first floor of the AC Hotel in downtown Vancouver. There's limited seating but for a weekend it didn't feel too crowded and we were seated right away. Service was friendly and efficient. I got the smoked old fashioned which was wonderful. You do get a nice view of the riverfront and into Oregon. There's still construction going on so once that is completed it's going to a fantastic spot to enjoy a meal & drinks! read more

Great service from start to finish- Ian was an attentive, friendly server and made sure we knew the full range of beverages and specials. We enjoyed nicely priced items from a sampler menu and the portions were generous (burger, mac and cheese, and vegetables with hummus). The calamari was excellent, not too spicy. We also ordered an all-meat pizza that was perfectly cooked to our special request, and we ended up taking several delicious slices back to the hotel. The fish and chips were crispy and fresh, and the fish was salmon which was a PNW treat for us Texas travelers. The full bar and beer choices made the meal extra special. As much of a splurge as this was, considering the generous portions and the amount of food we took away, Ondus was a good value. The dining room is spacious with an upscale feel. Highly recommend and we will return next time we visit the PNW. Note- you park in a tight hotel parking garage and the restaurant validates the parking. read more

Arrived on time for my Father's Day reservation. After some discussion between greeters we were seated, but immediately told that brunch wasn't being served anymore (at 11:15am). That is what we came for because it's served until noon! Finally our actual server came by and said only the hollandaise wasn't available, as we saw it being served to the next table. Actually, it was still available. Staff needs better communication and planning for events like these holidays. The biscuits were a bit dry. Gravy was decent, but after living in the South it's hard to find good gravy in the PNW. I'll try again for lunch. Nice atmosphere, good views. read more

This restaurant is located on the first floor of the Marriott hotel on the waterfront. They have a parking garage and will validate for parking in their garage. We were greeted immediately and shown to a table without any delay. We arrived at 11 AM on a Saturday morning hoping for lunch, but found only the breakfast menu was available until noon. OK, brunch it is. Unfortunately, due to construction, we were unable to see the river, but I believe typically this is a great vantage point to see the five bridge to Portland and the Columbia river. All three of us enjoyed the dishes we had selected. The chicken and eggs was a huge portion that comes with tasty white gravy and a large biscuit. Lots of good tasting food. The person who had the chorizo hash said it was very good and was quite pleased with the choice. The steak and eggs which comes with chimichurri sauce on the steak and breakfast potatoes and toast was a huge portion. I'm told it was very good tasting, however, the steak had been ordered, medium and was fairly well-done. Coffee is included with all breakfast items and I had a cup and enjoyed it very much. Service was good and will likely come back here another time for lunch or dinner. read more

This is a hotel bar and restaurant in the lobby of the AC Marriott on the Vancouver waterfront. Because of that, it is fairly open and airy but very nice. You can eat inside at the bar, get table service or outside with a beautiful river view. We hit happy hour and found a menu that was diverse and had lots of GF options. We had sliders, pork belly skewers and prosciutto frites. All 3 dishes were very tasty. The drinks were good as well. They could use a few more wine options, but we found one we liked. We had a nice conversation with the chef Tanner, as he was sure to come out and check with the guests on how they were enjoying the food. Nice touch. This place is perfect for an after work happy hour with friends, or a weekend bite while visiting all the nearby tasting rooms. We did not sample the dinner menu, but it looked like it had potential.
