But what was so irritating that prompted me to even write this review is because I just got back the charge from the credit card company. I gave a 16% tip, and yet somehow they managed to pay themselves 20% instead! Did they not think I'd notice? Haven't been to hooters in years. The place is older but clean and friendly. Sat at the bar and Kodie was fun and engaging. First time I had the Daytona wings. Good, but not spicy enough for me. We don't have a Hooters in Huntsville, AL anymore and my boys were super excited to find out that there was a Hooters that we could visit on our trip to Memphis to celebrate their Christmas gift (Grizzlies Basketball game). Bre got us everything we needed, there was was never an empty glass, and the food was top notch. Bre not only brought games over for my boys to play but she went a step further and played the game with my youngest. His trip was made! Traveling for work. Came in to eat and watch the TNF game. Waited almost 20 minutes for a beer at the bar with 5 people sitting. The guy next to me ordered food, received it, and started eating. I was getting up to walk out when she finally took my drink order. Now the bartender is walking around saying "I hate this place" and complaining about her job and everyone in it because of some scheduling conflict. Might be the worst Hooters ever. Been here three nights in a row for lack of better options. Girls are unmotivated to say the least. The food is ...ok at best. Combine the two. First night took me 15 minutes to find my waitress. All the girls just hanging out at the table when you walk in. Third night, most of the girls at the same table with the creepy old guys. I am adding Hooters to my favorite wing places. Seriously, why did it take me so long to go to Hooters again? They did close the closest one to me, but that's no excuse. This is a great place for wings and to watch sports....plus have a gorgeous woman wait on you. On Mondays, it is all you can eat wing night. And I certainly got my money's worth! I went with the naked wing at $15.99 just to dodge fried foods. I love the Daytona Beach! There is not another sauce like it! It is similar to a sweet and spicy BBQ sauce. My other favorite flavor is the Habanero BBQ. It is a thick and tangy BBQ sauce with minimal habanero flavor, but it does pack a peppery punch after eating one. I also had the Chipotle Honey, which was good. It was more Honey than Chipotle. The other flavor I had was the Cajun. I did not enjoy it. It was not much of a sauce and it had too much thyme to it. I have been here several times and am now ready to review it. I like the layout of the restaurant and with all the TVs, and the wings, you can't pick a better place to eat at. What better place to come and watch your favorite sports, have a cold beer, eat some delicious chicken wings and have a nice waitress with a smile to take care of you after a hard days work. How cool is that. The customer service has been excellent every time. My waitress today was even better than last time. I can tell she really likes her job. She made sure my drinks were full and gave me complete satisfaction of my visit to this restaurant. She checked on me numerous times. She even brought over some deserts for me to choose from. Menu items ordered: smoked Texas Barbque wings, curly fries, celery and a Pepsi. I highly recommend these smoked Texas BBQ wings. They were absolutely delicious as they were cooked perfect. Hubby and I decided to stop here because we had never been to one and I thought that the owner of the entire series said in Undercover Boss that he was going to lengthen the shorts in order to make the restaurant more family friendly. Apparently not. I felt extremely uncomfortable the entire time. Hubby got Mango Iced Tea (I don't like tea though) and we got the Buffalo Chicken Dip as well. The dip was ok, but not as good as one my friend made using Frank's Hot Sauce. That's just a personal preference though. It was pretty good. We also got some wings since people seem to rave about the chicken here. We thought we asked for boneless, but apparently not. I ordered some boneless while hubby tackled the bone-in ones. The parmesan garlic were my favorite even though I hate bone-in. I wasn't impressed with the buffalo, either boneless or bone-in. Honestly, I just wasn't that impressed and I was insulted by the outfits the girls were required to wear. I will stick with getting my wings at Buffalo Wild Wings- they don't come with a mandatory side of sexism there. I have been eating at Hooters locations around the country since the early 90s. Some of the locations no longer have that Hooters feel to them. That is not the case at this location. Warm welcome, clean restaurant, excellent service and the food was fresh and prompt. Mary Anne was my Hooter Girl and she stayed on top of things making sure my order was correct and checking on refills. The manager came by the table several times to check on things as well..
