Came to hooters for lunch on the boardwalk at John's Pass. I haven't been to this location in so long but hasn't changed much. They had a special running for buffalo shrimp and also 10 piece boneless wings and fries so we ended up getting a couple orders of those and also I'm loaded tater tots. Our server was incredibly nice. She was checking on us often and I wish I remembered her name. The only complaint I had was our tater tots were so incredibly greasy and honestly ruin the appetizer. The chicken and shrimp however were pretty good except the shrimp size was pretty small. I would definitely stick to the boneless wings next time. My husband got a chicken sandwich that he really enjoyed in their teriyaki sauce. read more

First time at Hooters and although the location on the water was really nice, that's about it. No free parking, but there is a garage that is $5/first hour then $2 every 30 mins after. The food was not good... I got mozz sticks- how can you mess up mozz sticks? Well they honestly tasted worse than grocery store mozz sticks. They were so flavorless, it tasted like I was eating cardboard. Any seasoning in the breading would have been nice. $10 was a crime for them. The wings were ok! but not something I would go back for. 1/5 for the mozz sticks and 3/5 for the wings. The service was below average, waitress was very nice but took forever to get my check - but it's a bar so I didn't care too much about that with the sports games on. Overall...probably wouldn't come back unless it was for drinks / view / watch games. read more

Taylor was an amazing server! We sat outside at the bar, and she made our experience so enjoyable. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and pleasant from the moment we sat down. But here they served us rotten fries and the fried shrimp had batter on it was coming off of each shrimp. It tasted so bad. The service was awful. Very friendly but they don't know how to multitask. This Hooters location is small; however there is inside and outside seating. Food took a long time to come out. My chicken wings were yummy, yet small. The dry parm rub was really good and plentiful. My drink was just OK. I thought the food was very over priced but location was nice on the boardwalk. And of course gotta get a picture with the wing outside. That was my favorite part. We got up there and there were several picnic tables empty outside. We wanted to sit out there but the man (apparently the manager at the desk) said we couldn't sit there and that we needed to be seated inside. I asked him why? It just keeps getting worse. Not only are the wings MUCH smaller than they used to be, but it's almost as if they train the waitresses and bartenders to absolutely not care about giving good service. This is one of those places where they know they're going to yield their tips solely on volume, and they don't even try to take good care of you. Today our bartender hardly looked at us, never brought me a glass of water, only rang in half our food, didn't bring my husband his second beer-and never apologized. Matty isn't just a great server - she's a national treasure. I don't know what kind of angelic training program Hooters has, but she clearly graduated with honors. Nicest, most genuine human I (or we) have ever met. We honestly felt like royalty just being at her table. I half expected a red carpet and theme music when she walked up. This one's from Scooter (he's too humble to say it himself), but I had to make sure the world knew. I'm not sure why the Hooters has such a low rating though may be from unhappy tourists. As a local I LOVE our Hooters! There is inside and outside seating, lots outside, with a roof covering the whole deck. The bar seating is large enough as I rarely have trouble sitting there. All of the employees are super dedicated and nice, many having worked there for years. The food is always perfectly cooked and delicious; the only item I didn't really like is the turkey burger as it tasted too much like Thanksgiving. My go too's are the burger, any of the wings and the fried shrimp, all good! The best part is the coating on the wings and the shrimp. They are always coated so well that they don't end up mushy in the chosen sauce. I'll add that I usually only like my potato salad but I always order Hooter's. It just tastes good. One wish I wish for is that they would bring back the roasters of oysters. I love shucking my own and they were always steamed to perfection. read more

This was the worst hotters we have ever been too and we have been to many! Even out of the USA! The service and drinks were good but the food was not! The wings tasted old and swimming in sauce, the fries were cold and the peel and eat shrimp had so much seasoning on them and were chewy. However the fried pickles were great as usual! We ordered ranch but got bluecheese the waitress quickly corrected that! It was clean even though the door handle to get out was busted off, you might want to repair that! read more

we stopped for a cocktail because we saw they advertised $6 cocktails. we were gong to have lunch at a table but had a rude awakening when we went to pay our bar tab. There huge cocktail menu boasts $6 cocktails all day long but is very limited to a few selections and they don't tell you. Yhe menu has all the drinks posted with no prices right under the $6 cocktails all day page header. We felt tricked . Very poor business. we decided not to stay and have linch. If I could give zero stars, I would. Came to Hooters expecting wings and a chill night, but instead got treated like criminals. My friend -- who is 21 and had his valid government-issued ID -- was denied alcohol because the staff decided it looked fake. Apparently the servers at Hooters are now also forensic document experts. Newsflash: you're not the DMV. After she gave my friends REAL ID back she then stated "there's no reason to get so mad." God forbid a 21 year old wants a drink. read more

Just went there for lunch, ordered 20 hot buffalo shrimp and a grilled chicken sandwich for my wife. When the order came, we started to eat. I asked the bartender if my shrimp were hot she said yes that is our buffalo sauce. I asked to get me some more sauce. When she brought the additional sauce it was much darker and hotter. I requested another 20 shrimp. A manager came over and told me since I ate most of the shrimp i would have to pay for another order. I said your bartender told me they were the buffalo hot. Then when I told her that was not fair, she said you ate them so you should pay for the correct order. I threw my napkin in my bowl and said no. She said I threw the napkin at her and told us to leave. I tipped the bartender because it was not her fault, but I will never go to that location again. And will continue to confront that restaurant for there poor management. read more
