hooters Using the COVID safe QR reader I viewed the drink menu. Surprise!! No prices. Ok. That makes nervous after parking in a gear age that charges $1 per 20 minutes or $20 all day. Be that as it may,  Britanni, my bartender, suggested the special. The weakest margarita for 5$ I've ever had. But then again you sometimes get what you pay for, lol, but usually less. However, it was a light tasty beginning. Of course I drank it rather quickly because it didn't seem strong at all. Nice to have a little bit of a buzz to begin before I down a picture of Yuengling, oldest brewery in America, while viewing the causeway at John's Pass and all the tourist enjoying themselves. However, I am surprised at Hooters. I know the Las Vegas they serve buffalo wings as being breaded as if that is normal. I am from the Buffalo area and we have never seen anything like that. You would have to ask for them to be breaded. However it seems that Hooters now tells you you have to ask for it naked. It seems like put the cart before the horse. When you want to change something you need to change it so that people understand what it is. I was so disgusted to get chicken wings with breading on them. Who the hell needs more carbohydrates when I'm already drinking beer?! I doubt I'll ever go to Hooters again because they change things for some stupid reason to go against what was the original. Another question I have is when did the hooters girls have bellies? A few of them did but most were fit and in their 20s. I don't understand hell a place well the name of Hooters would have females not well endowed but endowed with a belly. Extremely busy environment with lots of people watching overlooking the causeway with boats coming and going. This time of the year is very comfortable but might be hotter in the summer. The openness with the slight breeze is good. Not much of a sunset view...better from Bubba Gump. But I wonder if the shorts are getting shorter and the tops more "up" lifted. LOL. read more

Went to Hooters so we could watch the football games while we ate. We were greeted and seated promptly where all the games were on. Our waitress was quick to take our drink order. We ordered some dry rub off the bone chicken and crab legs which were delicious. I would have given 5 stars but I made the most of ordering the key lime pie for dessert which was more like cheesecake and disappointing. So if you go stick to the chicken and crab legs! read more

The wait sucks. The server was non existent, and after waiting two hours two have food, it was not that great either. There is a limited menu, and the only reason we went there was for the fish sandwiches. They were not on the menu. We opted for wings and a chicken sandwich. She asked if he wanted fries or tater tots with his wings and he said okay. When the bill came it was an additional $4 for the tater tots. We had to flag our server down multiple times to be able to get our drinks, and then we had the flag her down to get a to-go container, and then again for the bill. Slightly disappointed. We were here on vacay and ordered takeout here for our last night here. Hubby's wings were good, but they forgot his blue cheese (and they nickel and dime you for sauces). My wings had almost NO sauce on them. The salad was good and large, and my daughter's chocolate mousse cake was delish. Overall ok, but not great. I have been to many Hooters but this was the first time I have been to the Hooters located at John's Pass in Madeira beach, Florida. The view from the 2nd floor overlooking the water was perfect. The atmosphere was lively and comfortable. We ordered the Buffalo shrimp and they were seasoned properly and delicious. We also ordered the Hooters house salad which had an excellent presentation and was fabulous. I also ordered 8 wings. Maybe because it was near closing time I was disappointed when my wings came out feeling luke warm and a couple were even cold. Overall our experience was fine but the cool wings led to a 4 star rating instead of a 5. read more

As a former Hooters girl, i get it. I dont expect much in the way of service or food quality. Everyone knows hooters isn't known for that. Food was ok like always..... our waitress had an attitude. But whatever, shes a "hooters girl" (omgeeee) loved the view and saw dolphins playing, watched the drawbridge go up. Cant give this 5 stars because the waitress left my husbands beer sitting at the bar and got annoyed when he asked for it (15 mins later). You can't mess with a man & his beer. If i could rate this place lower than a one star i would staff at the hostess stand was absolutely rude when arrived to have dinner a little over an hour before closing and was denied service after paying $10.00 to park while seeing a bunch of open tables hostess thought it was funny and kept making inappropriate comments manager came out and was even ruder stated i wouldn't serve you. Made the mistake of going here with a large group of 10 today. Long wait was expected as it was the weekend and a tourist trap... What wasn't expected was the snotty hostesses working at the outdoor area. They appeared to be in no rush to clean tables as customers left so that new groups could get in.. Instead they sat (literally 3-4 at a time) chatting as multiple tables sat dirty and empty. I'm glad this location is doing so well that they apparently don't need to bring in customers. Not sure if the waitstaff would agree with them though. After waiting an hour and change for a table we were seated inside with a sweet waitress but handed essentially a takeout menu. Apparently they've reduced the menu to keep the kitchen moving better during Covid. No one mentioned this fact to us before we sat and it severely limited our options to wings, salad or burger. Definitely not expected! 6 burgers, 1 boneless wing and a kids grilled cheese and kids burger took over 45 mins. No appetizers, no fancy drinks from the bar... It just took FOREVER. The dining room was not that full... And again: only burgers and wings were on the menu! If you are looking for someplace to eat while at Johns Pass avoid the Hooters located on the board walk. One of our visits when we are in town on vacation. Food was outstanding but must comment on the superb service we received from Matty. Her service was outstanding, but her genuine caring and positive attitude is what caught my wife and I's attention. Less than one star, waited 2 hours for our food. Waitress "Sam" kept apologizing but messing up our order. Parking is not cheap here either ... they need to really work on their customer service skills... tried saying we were the ones being difficult? Manager even told us the waitress forgot to put our order in... what a joke of a place. Next time we'll go next door. Such a waste too when you have a beautiful water view. The worst soggy and no flavor Buffalo shrimp I have ever had! Watery Buffalo sauce and not crispy at all. Also, the naked wings were barely blackened and not cooked in the inside. Terrible service. Pinky sized wings. Asked for manager and he never came and was no where to be found. THe waitress explained that the wings were from free range chicken and that's why they were small. This was not advertised anywhere and she said they weren't going to advertise it. In my opinion, Hooters has the best wings and hot sauce. This is a beachy vibe location and we didn't have to wait for an inside table. The atmosphere is typical Hooters, with a little more sand and salt air mixed in. They do have an outside bar and seating area which was packed, not surprising! The service was good and the wings were great. They also carry White Claw and Modelo, so all around it was a good early dinner. read more

When a white girl approaches the bar in a two-piece bikini and gets served, then a black girl in a one piece is told she has to cover up and is refused service, people start to turn their heads. Turns out, the two actually came together! When they confronted the manager, things got pretty bad for Hooters. What a bunch of rude, miserable bartenders they have here. Visited here while in the Madeira Beach area and sat at the outside bar. This was not only a great view but also a great spot to watch your favorite NFL team as I did this past Sunday. I arrived around at 12:30 PM with the wife who graciously offered to go shopping in the multitude of stores located in Johns Pass. Asked the barmaids to put the Eagles on one of the 3 TV's on the outside actual bar area and it was no issue. It is first request/first served. The barmaids then place a sticky note on that TV designating what game will be on that TV. Had some beers and the boneless wings which were awesome. Would definitely return here when I'm back in the area soon. read more

Went in with a group of 8 because our friend has Celiac & knew that Hooters had a gluten free menu. It was not busy, we sat inside & were greeted fairly quickly. The service was good but other than that not the best. Friend that has celiac had to send hers back because it had a curly fry on her gluten free chicken so she ate 10 min after everyone else did. My sons hot dog was over done. Our friends daughter ordered boneless wings with sauce & they came plain. The fries were not cooked/Fried all the way through. Sat at the bar last night and ordered Lotsa Tots, buffalo shrimp, and the oyster steamer bucket. Honestly, the only thing you can never go wrong with at Hooter's is the lotsa tots...but you also can really mess up tater tots. The buffalo shrimp didn't taste completely cooked so I only ate one. The oyster steamer bucket we didn't realize when we ordered we whole oysters that you had to shuck yourself. Half the bucket we couldn't open at all so we asked for them to be steamed more only to just tell them never mind because they didn't taste very good anywas (really gritty). They took them off our bill and gave us french fries for free which was nice and we appreciated that but even the fries were awful. One upside was my drink (Stoli Mule) was excellent and the bartender was very nice. Hooter's just isn't the best. read more

Good atmosphere but very disappointed that meals don't include a side item, I got charged extra for fries for each meal that we ordered and my Buffalo chicken sandwich was dry, I asked for a side of sauce and I got charged $1.10 for it. I have never been in a restaurant like that, I would suggest to change the prices to include a side item and don't let it be a surprise to customers with all extra charges. read more
