While vacationing with my siblings in Austin, TX, we dined here. It use to be a favorite of mine years ago; and the service we received reminded me why I do not miss this place. Sarah was a good server. No problems there. Food was hot and fresh... HOWEVER... One fork was very dirty with stuck food. Fried pickles were not shaken properly after frying so there was a pool of grease on the bottom of the plate and they got soggy quick. My family and I had the worst experience we have ever had a restaurant while visiting the IH35 in Selma. When we arrived we were excited to see the parking lot almost empty so assumed we would be seated immediately. Once in the doors that was not the case. There was nobody at the hostess station to greet us. Multiple wait staff walked right past us without even acknowledging we were standing there for over 5 min. Eventually someone stopped and said it would be a while because they were short staffed. That was truly an understatement. We waited almost 30 min for a table when the restaurant was almost empty. Tables were left dirty and full of dishes that nobody was bussing. During this time I took my daughter the the bathroom to find no lighting. There was 1 dim fluorescent light flickering like in a horror movie. I flipped switched and nothing happened. Both stalls were disgustingly dirty, I did not even allow her to sit. Once she completed her business I found no toilet paper in either one of the stalls. Apparently it had been like this though the day because I saw the trashcan next to the toilet full of paper towels so I did the same and wipes her with a paper towel. After going back the the waiting area, I noticed part of the dining area close to the kitchen was closed off due to what appeared to be a leak in the ceiling, maybe a/c. They tired to sit us at a table that was too small for our party located directly next to the tables where the water was Speach I g from the leak. This was unacceptable. We requested a different table that had been sitting dirty for the entire time we were waiting. We were informed we would ha e to wait a while longer because they didn't have to clean it. After finally sitting at our table our waitress was actually very attentive and did have the best customer service to be expected in such a bad situation. Our food took another 45 min to get there. During our wait and during the entire meal the lights in the dining room we were seated out kept having some sort of electrical short and would flicker then turn off for a few seconds. My husband made light of the situation by singing happy birthday every time this happened. When I was finally able to eat, my meal was cold and After the second shrimp I noticed a funny/slimy texture. It felt it was under cooked. I wasn't able to cut into it and see, due to the fact that I had my daughter asleep in my arms from crying her self to sleep hungry. I then attempted to eat another shrimp and was positive it was not fully cooked. I had my husband cut into one and just as I expected. It was not fully cooked. It took another 20 min to get the waitress over to notify her. At this time I asked my 7yrar Old why she was not eating her food (grilled cheese sandwich) she replied it tasted funny. So I had my husband try it out. He confirmed a strange taste from it. So now out of 4 meals only 2 were edible, and remember one was not even able to be enjoyed because it took so long to come out that kid passed out. We waited another 15 min for the manager to come and tell us that he was taking the items off our check and that was it. All the while I felt the need to vomit and was not going to do it in that disgusting bathroom. So I went and threw up in the parking lot. I've been sick to my stomach all night and had to call in to work, my daughter had stayed home from school with stomach issues as well. I have come to find out that the other 3 families that attended that night also had issues with their food. This was the ultimate worst dinning experience we have ever had. I should've just left after I saw that bathroom. The only reason we stayed was because it was my daughter's birthday weekend and she wanted to eat there for the fried pickles. I am tempted to call the news, this is just not what is expected at any restaurant, much less a franchise as popular as Hooters. I would think there are standards you hold your locations accountable for each time that door is opened. read more

The last time we ate at a Hooters was in our old hometown of EP and had a good experience. So we tried out this Hooters after a day at Six Flags. We walked in to about 6 girls standing around chatting in a practically dead restaurant. Not 1 greeted us until I made eye contact with one. Being that it was a Sunday and football season is back, we expected a busy, packed joint. Nope. Now to be fair, it had been raining on and off all day so maybe that kept the crowds away? There were 2 small buckets collecting the rain from the leaking ceiling and an area blocked off due to leaks. Not pleasing to the eyes but hey, it's not their fault. We were seated quickly but it was cold! I don't know where the thermostat was set at but it was cold. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. She was genuine about it which is always great. We ordered wings, fries, and mac n cheese for our toddler. My wings were good but had a funny taste to them so I stopped eating them midway. No I don't send food back bc I'm afraid of my food being messed with. My fries were good though. My husband had the smoked wings and said they were good but wouldn't get them again. My son ate all his mac n cheese...of course. Lol. As we finished, I had to take my son to the bathroom to change his diaper. Yay to there being a change station! But walked into more leaks in there. Over the sink and next to sink. It was dark in there too. The light over the sink was out or maybe had to be turned off bc of the leaks. Overall, it just wasn't what our past experiences have been. Probably won't return unless Pluckers has a long wait time and there's no rain. read more

Took my son here for his 21st birthday. We were well received and our server Mel was fantastic. She was wonderful with us and treated my boy like a king. I was sad however when she tried to get other servers to come sing happy birthday to him nobody was willing. The food as always was outstanding and also as usual great environment. What a busy place!! We went in for Memorial Day and it was great! We had great service from a young lady named Melissa, who I noticed her name tag said Riverwalk but when I asked she said that she is now in Selma....Good thing because she was a little firecracker. She was super busy and yet she took our order quickly and accurately. Melissa went out of her way to make sure that all her tables were good and drinks were filled. She did all of this with a friendly attitude and a huge smile. She even took time to take some pictures with us. I also noticed that the manager was running around making sure that the customers were being taken care of. Way to go, Hooters with the service and the food. I definitely will go back and ask for my favorite server, Melissa the girl, with the contagious smile. read more

This time I asked the server to make sure ours were cooked extra crispy but when we got them they were bloody inside and the breading was soggy. Just don't know why they can't get it right. Everytime I am feeling HOOTERIFIC..we head over this location. Most other Hooters locations seem to only hire girls off the B Squad. But here, our food came out quickly, beers were cold and none of the girls were "butter-face". Over all I was pretty impressed! read more

I came in at around 5:00 pm (shift change) on a Tuesday. Although there was no one to greet me at the door, I had to wait only a couple of minutes before a passing server (Carmen) saw me standing there and quickly escorted me to a seat. My assigned server Michelle confirmed they were changing shifts, and explained that, although she was going home shortly, she would be happy to take my drink order before leaving. My permanent server, the lovely and charming Leah, arrived with my beer a few minutes later, and took my food order. Believe it or not, Hooters does pretty decent salads, so I ordered two. The spinach in my shrimp and spinach salad looked and tasted fresh-picked, not bagged, and the chicken and shrimp in each of my salads were nicely warm. Leah stopped by regularly to check up, always with a smile on her face, so I managed a couple more beers without ever going dry. When it came time for dessert, I asked her to recommend something, which turned out to be spot on! All in all, a first-rate experience. read more

Each time the manager stated that the kitchen didn't get the order because of a computer glitch. We ordered a chicken sandwich and buffalo shrimp. After 40 minutes we still had no food, nor apology from the waitress for the delay. So we made a point to complain to her that the food was taking an incredibly long time. She said it would only be a few minutes more. After a while longer we asked for the manager who explained that a large party had overwhelmed the kitchen. This was a bit insulting considering every table around us, all small parties, had been served during that time. The manager's comment was, hopefully the taste will make up for it." What a big disappointment! Haven't been here since the renovations. Looks great inside, but the food was horrid! I usually get the grilled chicken Caesar salad and split an order of original wings with my daughter. Apparently, they must have a new cook. The chicken was super salty and tasted like it was cooked on a line grill, after cooking something with grease! The original wings had no flavor or sauce to speak of and were dried out. My daughter's buffalo chicken sandwich had no sauce and was overloaded with cheese and was soaked in grease! And to top it all off, I had to ask for utensils and we were given "to go" plasticware because they didn't have any clean silverware. I would have been better off going to Whataburger and paying $16 instead of the $49 they charged!! Needless to say, I won't be going back to that location!!! read more

The best Hooters in San Antonio, although not technically in San Antonio. The location is great (just off I35 North) the ladies are warm and sweet, always taking time to chat when they're not too busy. As you would come to expect from Hooters, the beer is always cold, the wings always hot. I love the fries, my buddies love the oysters. In addition, I am a cigar smoker so I enjoy the ability to have wings, a beer, and a cigar. No more smoking in SA so come out here and enjoy our Hooters here in Selma-- read more

I wanted chicken wings so I suggested we come here for lunch. I regret I did. Our waitress's name was Alexis. She came to our table and took our drink order almost immediately after we were seated. We ordered cheese sticks as an appetizer. They were very good. I ordered 10 wings, all flats fried extra hard with fries. My husband ordered 10 wings fried extra crispy medium. Everyone else's food came out except my husband's. They brought out 10 wings, fried extra crispy mild but they weren't all flats so I sent them back. The waitress came to tell me she would see if they could at least bring out 5 wings so I could eat on something. I felt like if they can bring out 5 they should be able to bring out the whole order but I stayed silent. My husband advised her of his order not being brought out by the girl who brung the other food and plus an order of fries were missing. The girl who brought out the food looked confused when we told her about his order. When she came back, she brought out 4 orders of fries and said my husband's wings would be out shortly. I advised her to take the fries she brought out for me back because I didn't want cold fries to eat with my hot wings. About 7 minutes later (total of 15 minutes after everyone else received their food) our wings came out. My husband's wings weren't medium like he ordered, neither were they fried crispy. I looked at my wings and could tell mine weren't either. I touched them to see if they felt crispy and they felt rubbery. By this time, everyone else was about done eating their food so I didn't send them back. I just didn't eat them and advised the waitress I didn't want them because they weren't cooked as I requested them to be. I had a gut feeling things would be messed up because Alexis did not write our orders down, she tried to memorize them and when she repeated them back to us, she was messing up and we had to correct her. The manager took off the wings and appetizer from the bill for all of the confusion. She tried to make things right so I'm not going to hold that against them but I will never go back to this location again. I came hungry and ended up leaving hungrier. The location is an eye sore due to them remodeling it. I wouldn't recommend this place to any of my friends. read more

We went to Hooters for wings and I went to try their new vegetarian buffalo wings. When we arrived at the one Selma there was a sign on the door to wear your mask until you were seated and if you were walking around you needed to keep your mask on. The floor was marked off for social distancing at the front while waiting for seating. We wanted to sit in the bar area and it was later in the evening but the tables were already sit up for social distancing. Hooters had all these things on place before it even went public There were not many in the restaurant due to the lack of space with tables 6+ feet apart. The staff was very nice, the bartender was wearing mask and gloves, they used paper menus and was always wiping down tables and the bar. I tried the vegetarian boneless buffalo wings made by Quorn and they were delicious. Their beer was ice cold and the girls were very nice and talkative as usual. Can not say enough about their employees, I bet they have to take a lot sometimes with certain customers. I felt very safe there and will be going back. It means something when Hooters in Selma are doing the right thing to keep people safe through this pandemic before most restaurants were. read more

My wife's orders was halved they told me I was too intoxicated to serve me a Budweiser after I asked to changed waitresses because the host told me to change to a certain one because of this particular waitresses service (and how well she did with her customers). I went to hooters for the big college football game the hostesss said befor you order all the wings are half off so I got the 15ct and 10ct and when we got the bill they were full price and our waitress des Was completely rude and hardly came to us she came to us like twice at the max and the people behind us at least 5 times maybe more so we got scammed out of our money and we got charged $4 dollars for ranch when she asked if we wanted some we said sure and she never said it would cost.
