It has been over three years since we last visited a Longhorn Steakhouse. Our previous experiences had not been the best. I am glad we decided to give it another chance at the San Antonio area Live Oak location. The restaurant was clean, it felt welcoming and the ambiance was wonderful. Tucker helped us out and he was professional, caring, and attentive. We were very pleased with his service and with the delicious food. Both the burger and chicken were cooked to perfection, juicy, well-seasoned and tasty. I ate corn on the cob which replaced my fries, even though I got an extra charge for the corn it was worth every penny. It's been awhile since we last visited a Texas Longhorn Steakhouse. My grandson's 14th birthday. He wanted steak. The restaurant was surprisingly busy! The staff was hustling and working hard. We ordered the brisket queso with chips appetizer. It was yummy. Enough for 3 people for sure. Onto the main menu. My grandson ordered the largest steak they had! A Texas T bone. A mini filet and the Texas rib eye bone in 22 oz. Were also ordered. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Very tasty and juicy. Large portions. They gave my grandson a complimentary ice cream sundae! They used to sing but guess they didn't have enough wait staff. One final note. I have had steaks at twice the price and even three times the price that weren't as tasty and good as these steaks. This review is for the Live Oak, Texas location... Get the 9oz "Flo's Filet" and add the lobster tail. Life changing scrumptiousness. Always great service at the bar, and I've never had to send a steak back because it was cooked wrong. There is always a wait to be seated in the dining area, but my wife and I usually have no problem grabbing a seat at the bar. This is definitely one of the better chain steakhouses in the area. My boyfriend usually orders the 6 oz renegade sirloin and I order the grilled chicken dinner. I'm so glad that the servers here are very friendly and don't treat my dietary restrictions as a hassle! The food is really good! Everything is always cooked well and tasty - though it does take a while to get our food even when it's not lunch or dinner rush. She checked on us numerous times and was apologetic for having to wait on the salad. We know people are understaffed plus we really didn't have to wait. There was no need for her to apologize. My sirloin steak, which I ordered medium was perfect. It was seasoned well and very tender. The Brussels sprout were the deal. I liked the sweet honey flavor. My husband had the chop steak and okra. I tasted the okra and they were okay. I didn't taste his steak but the mushrooms that came with it.
