Hoover representatives Ian & Mark cleaned our carpets today. We had a 9 O'Clock appointment and they telephoned to let us know they would be 15minutes late. (Actually it was only 10 minutes) but in these covid~19 excuses times it was refreshing to hear professional and prompt service cleaners apologize. Ian took charge with the room estimates and Mark went about setting up the service equipment. They worked extremely well as a team. Ian was expertly explain the cleaning process and fees. We we're quite happy. Explained to Ian because of Covid we weren't able to have carpets cleaned last year during the lock downs. The young gentleman completed their tasks expertly and compliantly! I called to get my grout cleaned in my kitchen, hall, and bathroom. 30 quick minutes, $187 job later, my grout 248 square foot jobs looks exactly the same. Allegedu they cleaned my grout and put a sealant in 30 minutes. It looks like my floor was just mopped by an amateur. When I inquired as to why my grout still looks dirty the excuse I was told was some stains can't be cleaned with a brush or machine to clean. Ummm so my ENTIRE floor is not cleanable? I was told to talk to a manager because they did their best . Do not use this company at all !!!! If you do let them clean for 4 minutes and check to see if they are doing a good job. I received a coupon in the ValPak for Hoover Carpet Cleaning and called and spoke with Sean to get some additional information and pricing. I needed 3 rooms with carpet cleaned. I scheduled an appointment for Friday at 1:00 pm and took the day off of work. On the day of Sean called and let me know they were running 20 minutes behind but they ended up showing up over an hour late. The 2 boys were friendly and I only had 2 things I needed them to move; a dresser and nightstand. The service said it included vacuuming which they did not do. Luckily I vacuumed 2 out of the 3 rooms ahead of time. Overall the service was pretty good. I'd give a 3.5 out of 5 stars. It ended up costing $150 which was $50 a room instead of the advertised $35 a room for 3 room special. They got the job done fast and I tipped them each $10. The carpets took about 8 hours to fully dry but do look a lot better than they originally did. read more

I made an appt on FB for today at 11am. I wrote him on Fb an hour earlier to confirm appt and he never replied back, I also called 2 times and texted him and never bother replying. Until 30 mins later he calls me telling me he called me several times before coming but I'm 100% sure and I can prove he did not call me once!!! Beware of this company! Not very honest. Had my carpets done over two months ago and was told my Pizza coupon would be in the mail within the week. After two month, 4-5 phone calls, it has just become a game with these guys! Each time they tell me its in the mail, but never is. Today was the final card. The owner, Sean, told me he would personally deliver to my house, but never done. No surprise! If they are not honest with this, what else? Buyer beware! Plenty of other better carpet cleaners! This company is very unprofessional. They were 45 min late. Not to mention they tried to over charge is for am extra room when we only have two rooms. T he worst part is we told them that we would pay it anyways and not use them again so they decided to walk outside, get in there van and drive off without saying a single word. We called back the manager to ask why and he hung up on us twice. Then the third time proceeded to tell us it is because we did not want to speak to him and even though we decided to just pay them, the main reason is because we decided that after today we would use another company. Very disappointed in the service. The first time I used them. Hoover did a great job. I had my carpets cleaned on 4/5/2013.. The next day we noticed you can see blue in the carpet and still did not look clean. I called. I was told by the owner twice he would come out to fix it and has not showed up or called. I am very angry at this point because one my carpet looks horrible and the appraiser is coming on friday. It is now 4/17/2013 and still they have not lived up to what they say. read more

We received a coupon in a mailer and read the reviews and thought, we will give them a try vs having to find a cleaner on our own. What a mistake - just speaking with the guy while making the appointment you get the feeling - customer service may be on the back burner. Anyway, we made the appointment and the people never showed up. Been a customer for over 5yrs. Without any problems or complaints until 11/20/17 they had a new crew of workers who did a Very Poor Job cleaning my carpets. I called & inbox the owner who was Very Rude to Me aswell as his worker who kept Over talking Me when I was talking to him about his terrible job performance. I tried to resolve the issue even my son called back to try & resolve the issue. The owner wouldn't even come out to see the poor job his New crew of men did on my carpets. This company is not good at all. We found their coupon in the ValPak envelope and chose to use them over our regular carpet company we love because their coupon advertised a 2 story home for $160. The guy waited until finishing to charge me and stated we owed $225. I asked why and he said because it took them too long to clean the house due to pet hair and urine stains (which I stated over the phone when setting the appointment originally and was told there was no extra charge). I was on a tight budget and they never once explained the additional charges until after they completed the work. The cleaning guy was rude and disrespectful when he spoke to me on more than one occasion. I have never made a complaint of a service like this but I would urge you to not use this company as they are not honest and up front. Also after all of this and paying additional charges for their so called hard work they left multiple stains in the carpet that have always been able to be cleaned off my carpet by other companies. This company is all about doing the job in a hurry, taking your money and moving on. I trusted them to carpet clean my new house in Antioch on 11/13/10 in my absense. I was surpirsed that they were done cleaning in less than 1.5 hours (2500 sf two story home). When I visted my house after one week of cleaning, I was very disappointed. The high traffic areas like family room and stairs were still dirty and the carpets were hardly any better than before. I called the company to complain and their guys showed up 11/23/10 again. I was basically told that it has been too long and I must have made it dirty and wanted to charge me all over again. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND HOOVER FLOORS TO ANYONE. read more

So we scheduled an appointment, all furniture is up and out of the way. The company called to ask if they could come a little early. It was 1:02 pm when we got the text. We said to please come as early as 1:30, since our appointment was at 2 and we were out of the house on their first initial contact. We never heard back from them. We have used these people in the past and they came to our home recently. For some odd reason, they charged us a hell of a lot more than usual. The guy who set up the appointment gave us one price and the people who came to our home jumped it up $40 more. They called him and he made me seem like I didn't know what I was talking about, then apparently realized he was going to give me a coupon price. IDIOT. Then to top all of this, the guys who showed up to our house (20 minutes later than they were supposed to) told me they were running late to the next appointment. I called and booked an appt. with them and then called back the same day and left a message to ask what I should have moved out of the rooms before they come. No call back. I called 2 hours before my appt. just to confirm since I didn't get a confirmation call that he said I would get and he said he would call me right back. After 30 minutes with no call back, I called back and left a message to cancel my appt. If you don't have good customer service, it will probably show in the work.
