I used the Yelp project finder to find Lucia's. I got several quotes but they were by far the most affordable place. They cost almost half of other quotes I got. There was quite a bit of communication back-and-forth and it was all seamless. I paid 200 extra to have my seats picked up and returned because they're down in the San Jose area. It was well worth that extra cost as I'm in Solano County. I got my dining room chairs beautifully refinished by Lucia's upholstery.The quality was amazing. They also quoted me a couple weeks. I had Lucio's upholstery re-foam and re-upholster a Florence Knoll settee from the 1960s. Most upholsterers tend to misunderstand the style and try to overstuff these, so they end up looking rounded and not squared off as they were originally designed to be. The original chairs were manufactured by a high end designer and the reupholstered chairs that Lucio's did were far superior when compared to the original chairs. I called a few other highly rated businesses, but something was lacking in the interactions I had, both on the phone and via email/texts. However, within a minute of my phone conversation with Dalila, I felt at ease and sensed her sincerity and genuine desire to help me with our sofa. I believe their quote for the project was appropriate for the scope of the job. We appreciated their willingness to drive out to our home to help us choose a fabric and give us input with regards to type of fabric, color, and style. We also asked Carlos to build us a matching storage ottoman to match the sofa. During the process of choosing a fabric, Dalila was patient and very responsive to my questions. Scheduling the pick up (and later, the delivery) was very easy.
