Foxy waiting at Hooves and Paws to be seen by the amazing vets!!!
    Norma S.

For all your pets and equestrian needs... medical, grooming and boarding!! I highly, highly recommend these vets... Dr Reid is so good and so personable. He took all the tests on the first day, diagnosed my both girls with Pancreatitis, he explained everything to us gave me immediate meds, IV's on both girls and when my girl Bella got worse he even hospitaled my girl, got her a 2nd dose of IV's and stronger meds. They called and checked up on them several times. I called them constantly and asked so many questions. The staff is SO professional, caring, kind and understanding to you & your pets needs! I highly trust them and they made me feel so positive that my girls were getting the best care. Go see them for all your pets needs!!

I cannot begin to express my deep gratitude for Hooves and Paws. Our 1 year old King Charles cavalier needed emergency surgery for a bowel obstruction. They stayed after hours and Dr. Finch did the greatest job on her. We see Dr. Howell and he has been incredible with both of my girls( pickle has anxiety and is twelve and they were so gentle with her). When tater tot was getting sicker and sicker they never gave up and honestly treated us like we were gold even at our very first visit. I love this place!! Brittany, Miranda and the entire front desk are warm and inviting. I called and texted 100 times after her surgery and they stayed in constant communication with me, even the vet called to check in on her. I've never felt so indebted to these wonderful people. They also are extremely reasonable in their pricing, which is very refreshing. If I could give 100 stars I would!!!

Great service. Caring staff. Prices are reasonable compared to other vets. When we first moved here I wanted a smaller practice so my vet would know Daisy. But as she has gotten older we are more in need of emergency type care and our vet could never get her in. We've been here three times now and yes, we've had a different veterinarian but each one has reviewed her prior visits and were wonderful! They explained options to treatment and costs involved. This is now "our vet!"

We take all our dogs to Hooves and Paws. Our most recent rescue Molly has been there a few times. She got all her shots and was spayed over the Thanksgiving holiday. They did an excellent job and were very attentive afterwards. She is a very hyperactive girl and is a bit of a handful but they treated her like family. Thank you Hooves and Paws!

My 19 yr old dog is a new client at Hooves and Paws Pet Hospital, and he was boarded for a week and was groomed before pickup this week. To start, I took a tour of the facility about a week prior to boarding and I was quite impressed with the Staff, the cleanliness and the boarding rooms. I met the Groomer, Kimberly Reno who was extremely busy with grooming, but she assured me that she could get my dog in for groomer prior to pickup. Kimberly is a doll! She wanted to keep my dog Philly (just kidding) due to his personality and calm demeanor. Kimberly took special care of Philly and I will have Philly come back every time for grooming and boarding! Also thanks to "Tall" Aaron and the boarding staff for doing an excellent job with my dog! I highly recommend Hooves and Paws Pet Hospital for you our pet's needs!

Permanently disfigured with a wrinkled, folded over ... certainly not a job well done at all.

They were unfamiliar with dealing with a stone bruise in my Maine Coon. They did the surgery to stop the bleeding and put in a drainage tube, but, they stitched his ear down and did it at an odd angle so he is permanently disabled. Their stitches looked like a 5 year old worked on him.

I often joke that we should have a punch card for the place as we unfortunately have to visit about once a month. We lost a furry family member earlier this year but for the 18 months she was being cared for, we were always treated with warmth and compassion. Options were given across the treatment and price spectrum. Thankfully, insurance made it possible to try just about anything. Now, we have another cat who is having issues, thankfully with a less dire prognosis. Again, the doctors are doing everything possible to settle things down a bit.

Francis super happy and relaxed after his visit!!

They're careless, and they killed my cat. When giving IV medication they should pay attention and know when it's toxic to the animal.

Everyone seemed very friendly including the staff and the veterinarian. We came here since Sera my dog was struggling with walking specially on her back legs and experiencing some weakness. The doctor explained the process in detail to us and different options of therapy that can be provided such as laser therapy and water therapy. I really appreciated all the info, the kindness of the office staff, and really hoping the therapy will improve my dog's condition.

After trying a couple vets in Dallas, the urgent care vet referred me to Atlas for specialty support. We were there a lot and while we made progress, her bloodwork was still not great. And then her brother randomly got fluid in his belly. They were great about seeing me ASAP the week before a holiday and diagnosed him with FIP. They worked to get him medication that day from a local pharmacy on a weekend too. Unfortunately, FIP is still very fatal and he passed away a few days later. They were so kind when I told them. After his sister kept throwing up, we decided to treat her for FIP too. And she ended up doing so well! FIP only got an approved treatment last year, so many vets are not experienced with it. But Dr. (Daniel) Anthony was good about checking her progress and working with me on the most cost effective way to handle the many vet visits and lab work. I'm happy to share that she's officially cleared FIP treatment and observation protocol and she finally had normal bloodwork last month. She is super playful and loved to torment her big cat brother. We held off on her vaccines and spay because of everything, but she will be going to them next month for this too. I never have to wait long once I arrive and the front desk is always friendly. I'm not sure I'll be able to keep going for her regular visits since I live in South Dallas and the trek to Frisco is a lot, but their Saturday hours are a savior and if I lived closer, I'd stay a client forever.

Unfortunately, our experience at the new facility last night was completely different. We brought our 5-month-old Doberman to the emergency clinic around 10:00 PM after he suddenly showed weakness in his back legs. I carried him in. Despite this, about 20 minutes later staff walked him back to me in the waiting room and asked me to remove his ear post because the doctor said she was uncomfortable doing it herself. After another 30 minutes, the doctor entered and asked the exact same questions we had already answered twice. When I pointed that out, her demeanor noticeably changed. She immediately began discussing genetic conditions, CT scans, MRIs, and surgery--without first performing or even proposing basic diagnostics such as an X-ray. When I asked whether an X-ray had been done, she responded sharply that she hadn't obtained my approval, despite never mentioning or quoting one. At that point, I declined further services and carried our puppy out. Thankfully, he is fine today. We followed up with our regular veterinarian of nearly 20 years, who agreed that monitoring for additional symptoms was the appropriate next step. I fully understand concerns around backyard breeding and puppy mills. However, we purchased our dog from a well-established, reputable breeder, and the judgment we experienced for owning a cropped-ear Doberman was unprofessional and unwarranted--especially during an emergency visit. Based on this experience, I would recommend considering other local emergency clinics. In fact, we stopped by a newly opened ER in Prosper on our way home and were treated far more appropriately.
