Everything about this experience was top-notch! From being seated quickly upon entering, to explaining how the ticket validation thing worked (more info at the end), customer service was some of the best I've been shown. The ambiance is chic but casual-great for both cozy date night or fun family night. Our server was so friendly and patient as we asked questions about the menu. I ordered the grilled salmon with spicy crab remoulade and my guy ordered the smoked wings with a side of fries. I was happy that I was able to select my own sides from the ones on the menu so I opted for the fried Brussels sprouts with maple and bacon and the buttermilk whipped potatoes. After a short wait, our food was brought out. This was truly one of the best salmon dishes I have ever eaten! The salmon was cooked to my liking, the potatoes were soft and fluffy and the fried Brussels sprouts were absolutely divine and perfect. The remoulade was a little salty but it may have been just been my taste. The potatoes helped with that so it was not a deal breaker. My guy was pleased with his food as well and I could tell he enjoyed everything he ate. We agreed that we would take this trip back just to eat this meal again. It was truly a wonderful experience, from beginning to end. I highly recommend trying this gem out! Pro Tip: The restaurant validates parking. If you park in the lot across the street, do not prepay on the app or online. Ask the servers at the front to validate to save the $18 parking fee before you order and within 15 minutes after entering. Unfortunately, we didn't do this and the restaurant cannot reimburse the money after you've already paid. You've been warned!

The pita it came with was fine, a little over-grilled. I was not crazy about the fried okra. I wish the pieces weren't just cut in half, because to me they had that slimy okra texture inside. My gf said they weren't THAT bad, but I really had to push myself to eat them. The rosemary fries have a great flavor and were crispy (I prefer thicker fries but my gf enjoyed these). I LOVE mac and cheese and was super excited to try theirs. It was very creamy and had a good flavor but there was way too much cheese for the amount of noodles. Like the ratio was pretty off. Now for THE issue. My gf ordered the Filet Mignon, medium. It came raw and without the blue cheese compound butter. By the time the waiter came to check on us, I was half done eating. He took the steak to be put back on the grill and brought it back with a bowl of crumbled blue cheese. It was still raw inside. He brought us extra fries, but by the time it came back I was done eating. She asked for it to go and it was STILL RAW. She had cut it, so it was super obvious if you looked. The manager came and talked to us and they took it off the bill, but for a $40 filet mignon it should not take 3 tries to cook it right and it still not really be right. She said there are cold spots on the grill and they're training a new line cook, but it was not a good look... I'd maybe give more of a pass if they were packed, but there was no one eating inside and maybe two other tables of folks outside.

My husband, bless his heart, ordered the honey pecan chicken salad sandwich on gluten free bread so I could taste it. It was also delicious and he had a side of home fries to die for. Nothing arrives looking like it spent twenty minutes being positioned with tweezers. It's meat, bread, potatoes, pickles and sauce--the sort of food that requires napkins and leaves evidence. The Reuben is borderline obscene. A heap of deeply colored, tender meat barely contained between aggressively toasted bread, melted cheese and pickles. It's messy. It falls apart. You stop caring almost immediately. The turkey club is the quieter surprise. Thick slices of actual turkey--not the sad, uniformly circular stuff that's been haunting office refrigerators since the Eisenhower administration--piled onto grilled bread with bacon, avocado and enough richness to make the whole thing work. Then there are the potatoes: thick, fried rounds with crisp, dark edges and soft centers, served without ceremony alongside ketchup and a creamy orange sauce. Simple food done properly. There's nowhere for bad technique to hide. And that's really the appeal of Main Street Meats. They're not trying to convince you that lunch needs a backstory. They butcher animals, understand meat, make sandwiches and appear to take all of it seriously without taking themselves too seriously. Michelin noticed the place. When the appetizers arrived, we were greeted by not only demonstration, but taste above what I've had as of recent. Wife enjoyed the freshness of the tomatoes and cheese whilst I was mesmerized by how subtle and uber smooth my Old Fashioned was. We unwinded and talked about our day here in this city and then our next meal plates arrived. I had the very unique and well presented Beet Ravioli and the wife had the exquisite Spicy Lamb Rigatoni. Immediate upon arrival to our table my wife and I exchanged a bite of each other's plates to give a chance for our taste pallets to experience one another. The Beet Ravioli took back my wife to a time where she made something of similar taste and the Rigatoni took me back to California when I tasted something familiar then.
