Aug 2026, came here with my friend for lunch and loved the place and food. Plus the prices were reasonable. There are plenty of tables inside with booths as well. The inside of the restaurant was clean and well kept, plus the bathroom was clean. Our Server was wonderful, she took great care of us. I ordered a Salad with chicken souvlaki, and my friend ordered a Triple Decker Roast Beef.sandwich with French fries. The sandwich and fries were delicious she told me. I heard a lot of positive things about Hope Street Pizza so I decided to check it out. We ordered the pepperoni pizza, wings and chicken parmesan. All I can say is - delicious. Pizza crust was just right, not too thick and not too thin and full of flavor. The wings had a nice seasoning and were very tasty and crispy. The chicken parmesan was really good, one of the best tasting I had in a long time. Tender and seasoned to perfection. The staff was great - we came at the last minute and they did not rush us. I started with the traditional Greek salad (added some anchovies), then had the flavorful, tender and tasty ass and generous portion of pork souvlaki (only $10.50), which was crazy good. I also ordered a carafe of Woodbridge Merlot (only $16). The server "Shpresa" was a total sweetheart and made the best recommendations. I've been to some expensive local area Greek restaurants (won't name them here) and the prices are are double, with only mediocre food. Get to this place now and quick. It's nothing of a fancy place, but I want great food over decor and crazy prices. You'll be glad you came. By the way, I'm still sitting here as I write this review :-). On the east coast, "Greek" style pizza is as close as you'll get to Chicago style. Hope is in that vein. Jordan's (Norwalk) and Captain's (Fairfield) nail it with proper fennel sausage, but they don't deliver to Greenwich or Stamford (Jordans's, cmon!), so don't lose Hope. read more

My rating is dependent on the quality, taste, and freshness. You cannot compare this with italian pizza, they are two separate things. The fieryness of the pepperoncini and the cheese was spot on. They had long lines out the door and it was understandable. Don't buy their aglio e olio pasta, it was below average and didn't make sense. The jalapenos were flat in flavor, but it wasn't bad with chicken and pineapple on a large original. I really hope to sit down and have their pizzas fresh, as I'm sure it's much different when piping hot. Will be back to critique more! read more

The best pizza in Stamford. The worst delivery (grub hub) System. I tracked my pizza delivery. Driver went from Hope St to Bulls Head(now he may have other orders or a drop off there) but he sat there for 15 minutes. I live 5 minutes from Hope St Pizza. Grub hub is the only delivery they use. Driver didn't follow instructions. I live on east side of Washington Blvd. I'm invalid and I requested he bring pizza to my apartment. He or she(don't know)left it on the front stairs and took a picture. I got nowhere trying to deal with grub hub and it's not Hope St Pizza fault. So I called the credit card company and told them to remove the tip from the bill. I also usually give cash, not for them. read more

Today I decided to treat myself to a chicken gyro and let me say dissatisfied doesn't even begin to cover the feelings I went through. Im no hero but I was in the OR helping the people of this fair state of CT, thinking to myself how exciting lunch is gonna be. I've been coming to this place since they opened. Food is awesome when you sit down and eat in but take out orders are horrible! 17 times they have messed up my take out order, and when they say they will make good on it, it's even worse. Honestly, I will never go back. I guess you can't complain anymore, they do not want to make good on their word. I guess it's all about money and not quality of food. A family member came from SF Cali, and he ordered exactly the same as me, and can you believe they burnt the chicken again, this is unheard of, I confronted the owners, and one of them got defensive with me, and when I showed him the proof and all he said was sorry after seeing it, and they gave me a new order, but damage was already done. Located on a corner at the end of Hope Street is a neighborhood restaurant where everyone knows your name. As you walk into the restaurant, you will find unassuming dining room with pictures of Greece along with statues of Greek gods. My goal was to have a cheese pizza in a Greek Restaurant, or better said a cheese pizza in a restaurant owned by Greeks. Oh my, their cheese pizza was outstanding along with our salad with cheese. Loved this place. My parents used to go here when they lived/worked in Stamford 30 years ago. They said the pizza is the same as they remember! We arrived at 8:45pm on a Sunday night and it was packed. They have a small parking lot but we found parking. Other people parked on the street or across the street in the CVS parking lot. We were seated immediately however it was packed! The place is small so it gets kind of loud but tolerable and worth it. The mozzarella salad was amazing. We ordered a large for 5 people which wasn't enough as an app. I would recommend getting two next time since it was so delicious and everyone wanted more! We ordered two pizzas, a large plain and a meatball. Both were cut into tiny pieces which would be great for kids. Two large was the perfect amount for 5 people. We left feeling full but not overly stuffed. The price was cheap in my opinion...$37 plus tip. The pizza was great...not thin crust and better than Colony! Hope pizza is such a gem. I don't think there's any day I wouldn't jump in the opportunity to eat their Greek salad and/or pizza! So, so good. The pizza isn't your typical pizza slices as it's a giant square. It's like the adult version of chuck-e-cheese pizza in the best way possible. I always wish they offered delivery but also think that would be dangerous for me haha. The inside is very modest and simple and the staff is always very nice and customer service aware, which is always a huge thing in my book. I also love that despite that they're located off of such a hectic road, that they have their own spacious parking lot that I've never had any issues finding a spot or trouble getting out of.
