Worst delivery experience. Called three times and every time they would say 10 min but took 2 hours to get a pizza. Do not recommend.

My wife and I were the targets of a hate crime in this restaurant. While we were waiting inside to pick up our food, two visibly intoxicated men began shouting explicit homophobic slurs at us and making sexually vulgar comments towards us. We asked the restaurant staff for help. They did nothing. They didn't ask the men to leave. They didn't speak to them. They didn't even acknowledge that something was happening. Eventually, the men left the restaurant, but only to stand across the street, waiting for us to come out so they likely could continue threatening us, or worse. We called the police because we genuinely feared for our safety and needed help getting home safely. Let me be clear - a pizza place is not responsible for everything its customers do. But it is responsible for maintaining a safe environment inside its own store, and when something dangerous happens, to respond with care and urgency. This restaurant failed completely. When we spoke to the manager on the phone, his response was shocking. He was cold, dismissive, and repeatedly asked, "What am I supposed to do about it?" as if it wasn't his problem. He even referred to the incident as "an inconvenience." My pizza being cold is an inconvenience. Being harassed, threatened, and fearing for our safety because of who we are is not. It's a hate crime. And they stood by and watched it happen. This experience was traumatizing and dehumanizing. The total lack of responsibility from the staff and management only added to the harm. We're sharing this so others know what happened here, and so this restaurant understands that their inaction made them complicit. read more

The Cos Cob Restaurant is awful. The help (manager Sebastian) is so unprofessional, dishonest and rude. The food is just OK. The portions are unacceptable for many items---especially desserts. The prices are very high for the poor taste, mediocre quality and horrible service in the Cos Cob location. They charge you an additional fee for charging your order. They treat customers as if they are stupid. They lie to the customers. The manager is a disgrace. I will never get their food again and I would recommend no one else bothers to go to this restaurant. Fairfield Pizza might not impress anyone but it's the kind of pizza that certainly works in a pinch. In the tri-state area, pizza is at a standard where even bad pizza is relatively good pizza. For me, Fairfield falls somewhere in the middle and would be considered average otherwise. Most of my pizza experiences have been via the Maury Show but I've also had the opportunity to try it while staying in downtown Stanford. They're quite good on the phone, have fast delivery and are quite affordable. Price and customer service definitely go a long way, so it's a minimum three stars. Pizza wise, it's very much thin crust. A bit flimsy and all, though I'm not too crazy for their sauce to cheese ratio, or the skimpy toppings. In any other scenario, this would be perfectly acceptable pizza, especially for munchies or someone desperately craving a pie. As always: when in doubt, go for pepperoni. read more

I love pizza and I love trying different places. Me and my family originally were going to order from Planet Pizza. But decided to order from here instead because we heard it was good.   We ordered the cheese pizza, chicken caesar salad, chicken fingers with fries, hot wings and pasta chicken alfredo. Everything was very good, we were really really impressed. One of the best pizza places in the area, so that it is a BIG DEAL!! Prices aren't super expensive either and you can tell they make things with quality ingredients. If you are in the area this is a must try. read more

Must of changed management, because it's not like it use to be. I was going to order a couple of slices when I noticed they have an oscillating fan on the counter near the pizza blowing air and dust. I pointed it out to the cashier and he seemed disinterested, but polite. Then I observed their kitchen staff leaving out of the restaurant with their aprons to go to the store. I've ordered here multiple times, and everytime it gets better! We've had all types of pizza that always come fresh as well as their meatballs and spaghetti. For someone who hasn't ever ordered meatballs and spaghetti I'm glad i did here. I've started to go just to get pints of their pasta sauce - delicious. Sadly I feel like I need to give this place 3 stars because of their handling of Covid protocols. I really like their pizza, definitely one of my favorites in the area, especially for specialty slices. I came last year early on during Covid and the employees weren't wearing masks. It wasn't a mandate yet so while I didn't like that decision, it was just my preference not to come back. I came back last week (now there is a mask mandate in Stamford) and despite having signs on the doors saying masks required, the employees still were not wearing masks. With so many pizza options in Stamford Fairfield should really make better choices regarding health and safety read more

I wouldn't normally give a negative review during a pandemic when I know that businesses are struggling. Unfortunately, this is a matter of a different kind of public health that needs to be addressed so that it doesn't happen to someone else. Several weeks ago, (this is not the main issue) I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and found a very long hair in my food. I contacted the restaurant and spoke to a manager or owner who was very nice and forthcoming He kindly issued me a credit for the entire meal. This was an acceptable solution for me since I occasionally order from here. I finally made good on the credit last week, Sunday. I ordered the same exact thing. A chicken Caesar salad. The food arrived and everything seemed normal. Two hours later, I started to feel unwell. I had gastrointestinal issues for most of the night and the next FOUR DAYS following. I was convinced that maybe I had Covid because of the duration of my symptoms. I contacted my doctor on day two of my gastrointestinal headache and they suggested a covid test. The next day, I went to get a very uncomfortable test to rule out covid. Boy was that an awful experience. I had to wait 3 days for my results. Meanwhile my stomach issues persisted for a total of 6 days with the first 4 days being the worst. My results turned out NEGATIVE, thank goodness. What a scare. My doctor suspects food poisoning. I never knew food poisoning could last almost a week but apparently it can and does. Not sure who is handling the food there and preparing it but somethings gotta give. Fairfield pizza has the potential to be a great choice but I don't think I'll return after this last incident. It was a stressful and painful incident to say the least. Especially during a pandemic when just about any symptom can be a covid symptom. Happy to at least know my current status but would have preferred not being forced into having a cotton swab rammed up my nose and into my thoughts because of food poisoning. I love coming here to grab a slice of pizza whenever I'm in a hurry during lunch break or just when I want a snack at night. Their Margarita pizza is the best, and I highly recommend it! Their service is usually pretty quick too, and the prices are reasonable, even though some of their slices are a bit more expensive. I wish they made it very clear how much each slice of pizza cost up front so that you're not surprised when you get to the register. They don't do a great job of this, which is why I'm not giving 5 stars. read more

My friend and I popped in for a quick bite before a show and were not disappointed!! The crust was thin and had a great bite to it. Great lunch stop! Centrally located, just past the main downtown intersection. Comfortable seating, lots of tables, and they usually have soccer or the news on the TV. I love their pizza slices, garlic knots, and their pasta fagioli (noodle, beans, and vegetable soup with a tomato base). The pizza slices are clearly fresh, I've never seen them empty a pie without immediately replacing the pie. The garlic knots are just so good. Sold singularly, or by the half dozen and come with a cup of dipping sauce. The pasta fagioli comes PIPPING hot and with a little bit of fresh bread. They also have different lunch specials every weekday (pretty sure today's included 4 cheese ravioli and baked ziti). Service can be hit or miss, sometimes it's super fast and then other times you're waiting forever. Either way, the guys are polite. read more

(Delivery review) Fairfield Pizza is my go-to when I'm craving a little bit of everything. Specifically, if I want Clam Chowder, I order from here. They raised the prices on it which sucks but I love it their clam chowder! We have ordered pizza from here before but it's not great. What is great are their sugar cookies, Penne a la Vodka, Carbonara, and their Zeppollis (has it for the first time last night and they were good. Don't know if they were traditional or not). I ordered the pasta with almond sauce for delivery. It got to my location quickly (bout a half hour) and it was HOT. The pasta with almond sauce and chicken was very heavy, but delicious. On the menu it said that peas were in that dish, but there were no peas...it's a shame because it really would have made the dish better. The bread was a little stale that it came with so that got tossed. My friend said the fettucine alfredo was amazing. I would probably order from here again. read more

I love Fairfield Pizza in Stamford! I like to stop in for a Nonna's slice. My mouth waters thinking of the crushed tomatoes, garlic, basil leaves, and fresh mozzarella baked to perfection on a hearty crust. The pizza is simply delicious! Where the sauce, mozzarella, and cheese meet at the edge of the crust is pure heaven for my taste buds. What I like to do is buy a few garlic knots with marinara sauce to complement a Nonna's slice. I eat the garlic knots first, and there's always extra marinara sauce once I finish them. I then dip pieces of the Nonna's slice in the marinara sauce. It's a seamless combination! Fairfield Pizza has a comfortable feel. During the summer, the air conditioning runs at the ideal temperature. It's a nice place to sit and enjoy scrumptious pizza! read more

This review is biased as I'm originally from the Bronx. To compare the pizza here to a real New York slice would be unfair to Fairfield Pizza. I've gotten take out a few times now, and my order has been correct and ready on time. The interior is clean and new looking with a few televisions for entertainment. The guys behind the counter have been friendly and professional. Even when pizza is bad it's still good, but the pizza here is average. You could walk into any pizzeria in Stamford and get the same slice. Next time I'm craving a Pizza, I'll be making a trip into NY for a real slice. read more

I don't know what the H**l is going on with Fairfield Pizza. The slices use to be so good. I bought a pizza a few weeks ago, and it was horrible. The crust was so droopy. No matter how long I kept it in the oven, the crust would not get firm not even a little. Today I took another chance on their slices and bamm! the same thing only this time I have an upset stomach to go with it. It seems like there are new employees there. Won't be spending any more money on their slices. I'd rather go to crummy Dominoes, at least their crust is firm. read more

A really good place for pizza by the slice. The menu is extensive do you Will definitely find something for your taste bus....pizza, pasta, sandwiches and salads. I usually get pizza by the slice. Their is a pretty decent selection when you walk in. I have also had the garlic knots which are amazing!!!! And their cookies and pretty good too. they have a refrigerator of cake slices if you need to satisfy your sweet tooth post carb coma and a good beer and wine selection after those long work days Where you need a good drink to pair with your meal. We had at pizza party ordered from here and the pizza is ok. Not very memorable and I wouldn't go out of my way to eat it. They kind of taste like dollar slices with toppings. Came in one night to get a slice. As i waited in line, i watched a worker touch the food with bare hands and then wipe his hands on his pants multiple times then touch food again. I watched another worker angrily pick up a burned calzone ready to throw it on the floor. Instead he just threw it across the table. Another worker came, and had a new calzone shell in hand - ready to take the contents from inside the burned calzone to put into the new shell. Before he did, he decided to put on a glove and proceeded to take contents from the burned calzone into the new one. I turned around and left right away. Never entering that place ever again! Starting a new restaurant in Stamford is hard as it is, but opening a pizza establishment in this town, well, you are going to be facing some harsh critics (like myself). Granted, I did have a bad experience and I'm not taking that back--however--in the age of horrible service when someone goes out of their way to treat a customer with respect? Well, they deserve another chance. I have not ordered from them again (yet) but I will. And I am looking forward to having my opinion reversed. The owner is a very nice man and really cares about the customer's experience and that goes a long way. I'm happy to see the positive reviews on here and hope that soon, I will have one to add to the list. Oh and PS. I am NOT the owner of another restaurant in town. (had to laugh at that) However, I AM the owner of a restaurant website for Stamford and get asked all the time where to go to eat. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've been seeing the cars for Fairfield Pizza all around town and have been curious to try them. I had a coupon, figured it would be a good time to try this place and can say now that it was my first and last time. First off, when they say 45-60 minutes, they certainly mean it. I think it got here at 59 minutes and several seconds. I know I'm spoiled by another pizza place in town who always quotes 35-45 minutes but gets it here faster, but this was almost like the guy was waiting for the 60 minute mark. When it got here, the guy knocked on the wrong door for the apt. and was a little jumpy. I kind of just wanted to grab my pie and close the door fast. The box felt hot, thought it would be a good sign, but strangely, all I smelled was hot cardboard, not pizza. When I opened the box, there was still no discernible smell of pizza, even with pepperoni on it, just box. And while full of fiber, the box isn't what I wanted to eat and/or smell. I was disappointed in the pizza right off the look of it as I had ordered it to be 'well done' and it looked a bit on the undercooked side. Plus, even though it was still hot, there was a skim of congealed oil on the whole thing. The only thing I did like about it was that they cut it into smaller slices which a lot of places don't do. I grabbed a slice and took a bite and as one reviewer on here said...there was no taste. Not in the sauce, not in the crust and even the pepperoni was on the super mild-tasting side. It was kind of a cross between bad frozen and Dominos. I had to add salt, pepper, oregano and hot pepper flakes to get any kind of taste to it! I'm very sorry I upgraded the pie to the large from the small, which was only a $2 increase which is why I did it. But now that I've tasted it, so not worth it. And now I will be throwing away a large pie minus a slice. I shall not be going back here and will be calling them for a refund. I only gave it one star for cutting the slices the way I like them. read more

We got a catered team lunch from here. I personally ordered the meat calzone. It was delicious but it was messy and greasy and all sorts of awful to eat with anyone present. Was it a calzone? Yes. Are all calzones delicious by definition: cheese, meat, tomato sauce? Yes. But this was erring on the greasy, not-enough-meat side. If there is oil and grease dripping out of my calzone through the dough... we have a problem. read more
