Attended a funeral for a friend who passed away suddenly. There were a ton of people there. I just wanted to thank them for giving my friend the respect he deserved. His family appreciated the kind way they presented his ashes to them. Very respectful and caring.

When my father passed away, I honestly had no idea what to do. My mom recommended taking him here as we were cremating his remains and she saw in a Statesman article many years back that all the funeral homes doing cremations send their clients to All Faiths since they were one of the only crematories for Austin. What I really enjoyed was that we were able to meet the morning after he passed and they did not try to upsell us on ANYTHING. The director mentioned certain services that would be good in case of a viewing (like embalming, etc), but he recommended against it because it wouldn't be nessecary in the end. Now, I REALLY like that. We knew already we weren't going to have a viewing, so that was no problem. The director didn't even try to upsell us on various caskets used for cremation. He explained very well what would be "standard" - which my Dad wanted. There was a price list for the "standard" set up which came out around a little under $900 for the whole thing. He didn't try to sell us any urns, but gave a catalogue to look through in case we were thinking about some. I really really loved how the director kept everything very calm and casual and didn't try to take advantage of us like a lot of other places tend to do. In the following weeks, they were very communicative in regards to when things were ready (death certificates, the urns I ended up ordering, etc). When my father's cremains were ready, they were very courteous and very supportive. So do I WANT to do business with them again in the future? Not really... But since they do have excellent, compassionate service and cut-out-the-middle-man type prices here, I'd definitely recommend them to just about anyone in Austin looking to be cremated in the future or you have a loved one who has requested that you don't overspend on them after death, I'd definitely recommend All Faiths.

Like so many yelpers have already mentioned, you do need to make an appointment which is not at all difficult. I actually called in the morning on a weekday and got an appointment within three hours. The number to call is 512-974-4343. On my visit I brought all kinds of paint, fuel additive, cleaning agents, lubricants, and pesticides. To be honest, I thought they were going to charge me something for this collection of environmentally damaging products, but I offloaded everything onto their carts in a matter of minutes and was on my way. This cemetery is just a stones throw away from I 35, just a block from Stassney Ln and behind some…read moreretail outlets. I spotted it on Google maps, so with this review, the photos should make it to Google maps. Unfortunately, it is completely overgrown and uncared for which makes it hard to spot from the road. There is a fence that surrounds the perimeter, but it too has seen better days. To add to the confusion, many of the graves are just randomly laid out and in a state of disrepair. Little to no effort has been made to restore the grounds. Most of the markers are cast in concrete, not granite, leading me to believe this may be an African-American graveyard. It appears some members of the public have set up a few benches at the fence perimeter, but no restoration has been attempted. If you come here in the summertime and the weeds are high, you may run across a snake. You will need jeans and boots to get through all the scrub and stickers. Apart from a Texas historical marker, there is no additional information that I could find other than in the photos below.

This very small cemetery sits in the midst of an old south Austin neighborhood and occupies the…read morespace of a single home. It is basically an empty weedy lot with a simple sign to denote the location. Beneath an enormous ancient oak on the property, you'll find the remains of the headstone or headstones. After scouring the property, I could find no more evidence of other burials in the thick weeds and fallen branches. Since this cemetery pops up on Google Earth, I thought it should have a review and photos to go with it.
