I understand the issues that certain businesses are having right now as we come out of the COVID pandemic. However, here is the perfect example of how a small business shoots themself in the foot. Business is open until 8:00pm. Sign on the door states this. Neon sign says they are open. Arrive at 7:20 pm with a party of one and was informed they are not seating anyone else because they close at 8:00. That's 40 minutes for one person to order, eat, pay, and get out. I would give them the benefit of the doubt and maybe they did t have seating or staff, but as I was leaving a party of three walked in and a party of three were seated by a different server. Too bad. I was doing some volunteer service around Silverdale beach, afterward, we decided to grab a drink at Hops n Drops. It used to call Hop Jack's but they have to change it. I have been to their other locations. The food good and so as the service. Well, it been a while since I stop by Hops & Drops. Their happy hour changes on the menu. Which is awesome!!! A lot of new food and etc. I didn't feel like drinking that day so I didn't order any of their special drink, but I did order my favorite smoked pork rib tips and chicken quesadilla. They tasted great! Definitely, their smoked rib tips are by far the best I have in a while from many BBQ restaurants. Forgot to mention our waitress she was really friendly and attentive. Yum alert! Just moved to the Kitsap Peninsula and have been craving good burgers and beer. Well: we found 'em! Impressed from the second we walked in. Greeted by name since we used their handy online waiting list, given a great booth with a full water view, and worked with a wonderful server who gave great recommendations, and found us the right beers based on our tastes (and hit two home runs with her choices). Not really sure about this place. The burgers are not that really great it's just like the ones you get at Five Guys, in my opinion. I haven't been to Five guys in years and it looks like this will be my last time, for now, eating here. The BEST burgers!! Not the typical condensed beef pucks thrown on the grill, but juicy, tender, and flavorful patties on a delicious bun. The gluten free bun is also substantial enough that it doesn't fall apart or dissolve while holding it. The service is friendly and it's nice to have the option of eating with a group near the bar and away from kids. It would be fantastic if there were more gluten free meal offerings, but I'll come back when I crave a burger! read more

Look, I moved here last august, I have a severe dairy allergy, and I love this place since I first tried this place. This location has a bartender that I absolutely adore. Patrice is by far my favorite person in this establishment ( and I'm sorry because everyone who works here is amazing). She makes the best cocktails, she is personable, accommodating, and just so kind and funny. I frequently enjoy my time here, but Patrice makes you feel like you're home. Thanks for that girly. I was able to attend their morning breakfast service. With my journey I found two things that I didn't notice/ know in my first visit. New item #1: The men's restroom has a baby changing station! This is awesome for dads like me. New item #2: The woman's restroom has a supply of lady products. I only know this because after complimenting the manager for the men's baby station she also told me they supply said lady supplies in the female restrooms. The food was good! The chicken fried steak was your typical fried steak but their country gravy was excellent. I had their "beermosa" which was orange juice and their house IPA. Ice-cold drafts and decent happy hour special deals. I've eaten here about 10 times and the food is pretty average. The menu consists of sandwiches, burgers and other contemporary American bar food. My favorite item on the menu is actually the homemade chips with the garlic dip. Complaints: The bar is oddly shaped and you can easily end up behind the drafts in no man's land. The individual that was at the hostess stand did not even let me finish asking my question before she laid in about the 45 minute wait and how they are only at 25% capacity with no bar area. I simply wanted to order (a large to-go order for my large family) and to see if I could wait inside versus my car. I get that a fraction of individuals are bitter about having to work hard.... but I would be furious if I were the owner and my host staff turned away a patron. My family would always visit this location while we stay at the hotel next door.... never again. A hostess should be welcoming. Management contacted me on my review and MORE than made up for my first dining experience. Grabbed a couple bacon burgers and added onion rings for my brother and I to go and they were EXCELLENT! This was my very first eating experience in the state of WA having just moved from Missouri via Wisconsin. My new roommate told me we should stop here since I had not eaten since boarding my plane 6 hours prior and when he said burgers I was all ears for the offer! I got the patty melt and side salad which was a great choice as both were very good and ample in portion for the price. Our server was way cool and talked with us about where we were from and how we all ended up in Silverdale. I can tell by the looks of things that this place would great for happy hour or a group gathering after the work day. I like the concept of how the original 'hop jacks" got their name. Our food came out pretty quick after placing the orders but thats expected given they were not too terribly busy at the time either. The place has a small patio with a cool view of the inlet which I had to go peek at myself. Their happy hour drink and app specials looked really good but on this visit only a burger would do so thats what I settled with. I went here around 9pm on a weeknight for my first time. I'm not much into chains, but I was with an elderly friend who was hungry for dinner late at night and it needed to be quiet enough for good conversation. This worked! There is a happy hour menu for early and after 9 with a good assortment of food choices at lower prices. I had a burger and it was pretty decent. I wouldn't say it was fantastic but it had plenty of mushrooms and fresh avocado and was tasty. I got it with a Caesar side which was also good, with lots of parm. (I was torn between a burger and fish tacos and the waitress said she ADORES their burgers... I thought it was good but I didn't adore it My friend got a nacho Mac n cheese which seems odd to me, but it looked cheesy yum and I bet a plain Mac n cheese would be good here. He enjoyed his choice! The location is nice-- better if it were light enough to see outside to the water, of course. I'd go back to possibly try the happy hour rib tips, but it won't be on my bucket list:) Again, good for a chain, lots of variety for different diners, and the two other tables had drinks--so there's another reason to go here, though I had water. read more

After reading some stellar reviews on a community FaceBook page, we went to Hops N Drops this evening. Someone had posted a picture and raved about the Tempura Zucchini so that was the main reason I wanted to go. THE ZUCCHINI WAS AWESOME! It's served with house-made ranch, which was also awesome. We shared a lemon drop & a blueberry lemon drop and they were both delicious! The patty melt was "okay" ... just average (and not served on rye bread, which was odd I thought, but the menu said it so no surprise). The Nachos were also average. Nothing wrong with average!! Some of what we had was awesome ... and no complaints about anything. Great service, for sure! We will definitely go back. It's a solid 4 stars ... for being exactly what it's supposed to be! Decent food for a decent price (especially their happy hour menu)! Their fries are my favorite and the perfect snack to order for pick-up. I used to wonder why they renamed the restaurants from HopJacks to Hops n Drops, but really, their drops deserve all the recognition!
