So, finally came in on Sunday after 3PM to try the Prime Rib instead of my go to Mashed Potato Bowl (always amazing) and wasn't disappointed. I doubt you will find a better slice of heaven for anywhere near the price. Toss in the amazing loaded mashed potatoes ( which could fairly be classified as an addictive substance) and an excellent side salad, and it was an amazing meal. Service was spot on, friendly, quick and helpful. Love this place, great ambiance and usually not too slammed (excepting Bingo, which gets a bit crazy) this place is a solid favorite. read more

Came for the BBQ, left a little disappointed. There was an event going on while we were there, so the atmosphere was extra loud. We were seated quickly and our orders taken, but then our wait person just...disappeared. Food was not what I was expecting based on the glowing reviews. I had the brisket which was tough and the greens whose flavor I didn't really care for. There was a sourness to them that I was not expecting. The worst place in the world!! , yesterday I went out with my friends after a long time because I had a baby and they took me out of the place because "I was facing the toilet" when I was in the bathroom, I really don't know what I did wrong, I was just looking at my phone, I wasn't drunk, I didn't act in a bad way either I had only had two drinks exactly. A woman was the one who did it, she really wanted me outside, one of my friends tried to talk to her and was simply rude, she also told her that she should go in and not go out again or just stay outside. Had the unfortunate timing of coming when a wake was happening so it was very loud. The service started out good. She came to get our drink orders right after we sat down. This is one of those places they don't bring water if you don't ask so that's on me for not asking I guess. She did refill our drinks once before food came out. However after the food came out we didnt see any wait staff. We sat for a bit talked with dirty plates and empty glasses. So in the end the service was very lacking. The table had the Jalapeno poppers. I've never had them with bacon so crisp its black before. They flavor was just overcooked bacon and nothing else. I shared the combo platter with my wife. First off don't call it a combo plater if you only get 1 meat and have to pay more for extra meats. That makes no sense. The brisket was bland covered in bad bbq sauce. If you're homesick for a plate like mamaw's at the family bbq/cookout, go ahead and head on over, they put their whole foot in it! I got the Mac Attack, and was excited to find Mac that actually had texture and flavor (it's not mush)! The pulled pork didn't need sauce for flavor or moisture. But the real treat, y'all, lemme tell ya! The fried green tomatoes! I have been all over Snohomish to Pierce looking for green tomatoes in grocery stores, looking at menus online. I was so disappointed, I even tried growing my own (with even less success). But lemme tell you! It was worth the wait, because I finally found one that tastes like home! Had too much fun last night so my husband and I were on the hunt for a good juicy burger. Saw the reviews for Smokin Robinson and it brought us to this location about 35 minutes from our house. Staff was very friendly, atmosphere was great, love their outdoor section and last but not least food was delicious! I had the double smash burger with Mack and cheese, husband had the brisket sandwich and cheese cake to go. Definitely going back for that burger and hopefully next time we can catch some live music. read more

My wife and I went for a ribeye dinner and left disappointed. It was tough and had "silver skin" in it. Last time I checked, that's not even close to a ribeye. At least 25 % of mine was fat as well. Charging an extra fee for a simple garden salad or baked potato is crazy especially for the price you're paying already for that cheap Super Saver steak. The best part of the meal was the collard greens and even those were overly salty. So I guess you could say that the local steakhouse wont be on our go to list any longer because of this experience. read more

I stopped by McCloud's Grill House with my wife after hearing a few locals rave about their fish and chips -- and wow, they weren't exaggerating. The fish came out perfectly golden and crisp on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside, and not greasy at all (which is rare!). The fries were seasoned just right, and the house tartar sauce added the perfect tangy kick. Portions were generous -- definitely come hungry -- and the staff were super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The casual, cozy vibe made it a great place to relax with a pint and some seriously good comfort food. If you're a fish and chips lover, McCloud's absolutely delivers. The drinks are mostly mid here. The food, however is really good. Not to mention the security personnel. The security here is nothing but kind and helpful. Walked out to the car for my younin ready to eat a bite and see the top container wasnt closed properly and the cheese sauce went all over the inside of the bag (over a second portion of food). The fried gizzards were graciously breaded but chewy. For my own reference , it is better made from home. Mac and cheese= 10/10 esp with pork, the " Parmesan garlic toast" is truely sad 1/10. In my experience, the food is pretty good, but seriously over-priced. I've never had a bad meal at McCloud's, but I have never had good service. More than once I have walked out due to being ignored for 20 minutes - 1/2 hour. The ambiance is LOUD, even without the band or DJ. Once they start, they could drown out the Blue Angels. Once we even had to change our order to take-out after the band started to escape the excruciating decibels. read more

I can't say enough about McClouds service food and atmosphere, we celebrated my daughter's 40th birthday there last night. Our server Ricky was on top of things and accommodated all our requests. Actually, everyone was great. We had guests from babies to people in their 70's. There was something for everyone to do from pool, darts, corn hole, and a cool fire table outside. The teenagers had a blast. We got lots of compliments on the food from everyone there, and to top it off, the band "The Drive" was playing that night, and they were awesome and sang Happy Birthday to Courtney. read more

I am writing this review specifically aimed at McCloud's Menu. First off, let me say that McCloud's Grill House is a classy place with an upbeat atmosphere, good drinks that are not too expensive (that's important), and lots of Large Screen TVs wherein one can eat a decent meal and watch the game. So, what is it about their menu...?? Plenty! First off, their menu looks like it was put together by a 5th grader! It's a cheesy, one-page deal with menu items front and back. It's all black and white- no colors! A classy place like McClouds deserves an equally classy menu. It doesn't necessarily need to be laminated- although that would help; and it doesn't necessarily need to have color although that would also help! McCloud's Menu needs a description of the items that are included. In the "Burgers & More Section, the menu lists the items that come with each Burger, but the menu completely ignores the items that come with salads. There are six salads listed in the Salads & Pasta section of the menu and none of them describes what items are included in the salad. When I asked the waitress what was in the salads, she responded that she was new and didn't know. Rather than relying on the wait staff who may or may not know what food items are in a particular menu selection, why not list or describe the items that come with the salad? It's not that difficult or time-consuming! One of the salads listed is titled the "Round-Up Salad". What does that name Round-up imply? To any rational person, round-up means you round up all the things one normally puts in a salad like lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, carrots, etc. BUT, the Round-Up Salad offered by McClouds is simply a Fiesta Salad like those served at nearly every Mexican restaurant in town. The other thing that is really bad about this menu item is that the salad can be ordered with grilled chicken or steak. So, I ordered a Round-Up Salad with Grilled Chicken. I was expecting to get a fully stocked salad with a nice, freshly grilled piece of chicken breast. Instead, what I got was a Fiesta Salad with lettuce only and small, refrigerated cubes of diced chicken. That's NOT Grilled Chicken! IN OTHER WORDS, THAT'S FALSE ADVERTISING!!! People have been sued for such things- even less! So, I called the wait staff over to complain and she said that the chicken is served cold. Well, if that's the case then don't call it Grilled Chicken because the word Grilled has a very specific connotation- grilled! Not Refrigerated!!! I really like McClouds Grill House and I plan to visit this establishment again. Therefore, I would like to offer my services to help the owner create a decent, respectful menu! Get rid of that elementary school version of the current menu, and let me show you how to create a decent menu that will not only describe the individual food items in each menu selection but will rock your socks off! That way, I won't have to ask if your beer is cold or your soup is hot! read more

We ordered the pulled pork nachos and were severely disappointed. The portion was small and mostly of cheese and chip. The pile of pulled pork on top was for children. This app was 16.99.. I can go to the brick house in PO and pay less than this for a HUGE portion of pulled pork fries that actually fills the table up. Next we ordered the jalapeño stuffed peppers. They came to our table looking old and burnt. They were tasting better than what was presented but to me five of these for 16.99 is way over priced for old and burnt peppers. I'll admit I never experienced their prior location but WOW this new spot is FIRE! I had seen on FB they recommended to call ahead for a reservation so I did just that for my group of 6. They're running on a limited menu and hours due to short staff and because I wasn't super confident my voicemail would be received I opted to arrive a few minutes early given the reported extended wait times. Turns out while they do suggest reservations they're not able to accommodate same day notice for the time being. No sweat, Drew was still able to find a spot for us and when a larger table opened up we were able to scoot over. The interior of the new space is filled with rugged wood accents, bright and quite large (larger than what I remember the space feeling like when it was Arena or Joey's) so they've certainly opened up the space and it's beautiful! We were seated at the pub height tables with the narrow chairs, I mention this because with no chair back or full seat it would be awesome if they added purse hooks under the tables for somewhere to throw your stuff. Crystalynn was exceptional and made sure to check in frequently with our larger group. No auctioning of food or tickets which made our night all the more seamless. We had an assortment of burgers, sandwiches and beers at the table, all were really good. French fries were also a topic of discussion at the table ie do you prefer crispy or soggy on purpose. Happy to report McCloud's fries are that perfect happy medium (cuz soggy is gross IMO) but they also offer tots as an alternative for an upcharge. Prices seem a bit high but not outrageous for portions but I guess that's just a sign of the times eh? Lastly, I didn't know the dessert situation was a thing - but now that I do I'm excited to give those a go on a future visit. After a lap outside before we left I can't wait to head back this summer to enjoy their outdoor amenities and restored full menu. A walk up bar, covered gazebos, cornhole, fire pit, a doggy friendly area and I've heard live music, bingo and trivia with Jonboy will make their return to McCloud's in the coming weeks. The food was wonderful. The service, a little slow. Hence 4 stars vs 5 stars. First the food. I had Smokin Robinson's ribs with beans and corn. Ribs were dry rubbed with sauce on the side and falling off the bone. Full rack was $36.00. Beans were very flavorful. Corn was, well, corn. It says it was sautéed, but I did not detect any butter. Tasted like it came right out of the can. My wife had the breaded shrimp appetizer and the shrimp were large and cooked nicely. Lumpia appetizer came with 6 pieces and was good. I prefer the smaller pieces and these were like 8" long. Friends had chicken fried steak and catfish, and they said they were good also. We all took food home as the portions are large. Now, the service. We sat for 20 minutes before the drink order was taken. No water brought to the table. Appetizer came and there were no plates. We were essentially ignored for long periods of time. It was ok, because we with friends and did not want to be rushed, but still, it seemed slow. To be fair, they were busy on a Friday night and probably short handed. The waitress was really sweet though, so in the end, it worked out ok. read more

What a sh*t show this place is. Made a reservation for 6pm Friday night with a very nice gentlemen over the phone Wednesday. Show up at 5:55pm on Friday and young lady at hostess desk says she doesn't have me down in her book with a reservation and can't help me. Another young lady comes to the hostess desk and ask what's going on. She can't help either. Apparently, if you make a reservation and they screw it up on their end, the customer suffers. These to young ladies had nothing in their customer tool box to help mitigate their failure. No suggestions, no ability to figure out how to accommodate us, just apologies to me and say there isn't anything they can do. I'm comfortable to say I was giving this place the benefit of the doubt that they are a respectful business. I now know they are a real sh*t show and I never need to darken their crappy hostess stand again. Went to Yacht Club Broiler last minute instead, w/o a reservation. They accommodated us and we had a great time, great service and fabulous dinner. read more

This is the first time I have ever sent a drink back - ever. It was like drinking a glass of syrup packed with ice....strike 1. Ordered the chicken nachos, pickle fries, and my friend got a burger. He said the burger was good, the pickle fries were tasty, but the nachos were absolutely disgusting. Some type of non flavored cheese sauce on top of some chips with cold chicken on top. At least serve the damn things warm. Strike 2. The server was there - but the most we saw him was when he dropped off and picked up the bill, and they were far from busy - strike 3. Have been coming for years and used to love it! It hasn't been good for the last several years, but I keep returning because I hope it's improved. The same owner overseas everything and he's really nice. I just don't know why the quality has gone so far down, and it makes me sad to have to rate it this poorly. The last few times I've come it was because It is convenient to where my 94 year old friend resides. Saturday was no different... 1. Signature salad. was mostly iceberg lettuce and tortilla strips. There was a very small sprinkling of beans and corn. Instead of the large strips that used to cover the top, the chicken was cut in very small tasteless cubes. The dressing used to be delicious and chunky (with corn, beans, cilantro...) but it was a think slightly salsa flavored ranch dressing. 2. Full rack of ribs was cut in half and the bottom part was pretty good. The top half was even difficult to cut apart with the serrated knife. They were tough and grizzly, not at all tender fall off the bone. 3. The brisket sandwich looked fantastic, but didn't taste half as good. Unfortunately, the meat was not meltingly tender, and didn't even have the flavor of long roasted, high quality meat. 4. The onion rings were soggy and cold. 5. The brownie sundae looked fun, but the brownie was very disappointing. It was possibly over baked, but even my over baked brownies are much richer chocolate flavored! So thankfully, the 94 year old man we were treating to an adventure has no sense of taste bc he thought everything was great!!! read more

I have only been to this restaurant a few times and always because of the Bremerton Chamber meetings being held there periodically. I went once a while back and they had a BBQ buffet for our event and the food was really good. I went the other day and I was licking my lips on the way to the restaurant anticipating barbecue, but they gave us lasagna. I think the Chamber had the budget differently and we got short-changed. All that said, it's a okay place. Nothing special nothing too terrible. But what I will say is the people who serve their guests in the restaurant are really nice people. They definitely know how to take care of their guests. I am likely only to go there because of the Bremerton Chamber meetings. However when I left this last time I caught a sign that said they had a happy hour and for some reason it really caught my attention. So maybe, just maybe, if I'm in Bremerton during the happy hour time and I'm hungry I might stop in and check out the the happy hour menu. read more

Had a great experience coming home and discovering this place off the beaten path of Wheaton Way. No gluten free menu but did have GF buns and they made a delicious French Dip (called it shaved beef) and let me have a veggie side since fries are cooked with other breaded items. Kiddo had a yummy steak that was cooked to perfection. Serving was big-took half for later. LOVE the decor. Very cool and worth the visit just to see that as well as the military tributes that are so very appropriate to the town. read more

Let's start with great... the food was amazing, my husbands rib eye was cooked perfectly and my chicken fried steak was delicious. It was interesting that the bacon wrapped jalapeños were drizzled in Balsamic... I'd never thought of that, but it was great. No... the not as great. We did wait a loooong time for our food, but to be fair, like everywhere else, staff is short and the server we had, Lidia was awesome. The place was packed, it was so nice to see the world turning again... but it does mean that people are going to have to be more patient while we are getting back to business...
