It is small enough to not be chaotic and big enough to make traveling to places across the country and globe fairly convenient. Yes, you often have to stop in Seattle, Portland, Denver, SLC when flying to larger cities, especially on the east coast and of course international but I would prefer that than having to navigate an unfriendly (in terms of convience), HUGE airport. The airport is located far enough away and yet close enough to grab a ride share. Then you don't have to worry about a car, parking, and how much it will cost to let your car sit for days. I am sure this is more difficult for people that live out farther than Boise or Median though. Food option and amenities are limited but the reality for me (and likely many) is I don't hangout in the airport long since it is either my starting destination or end destination. I am excited to see all the remodeling and upgrades happening though! I hope it will a remain with a small town feel but with big city connections. Thanks BOI.

The gate agent said that she got me a flight on another airline and so I got down to that other airline, and know the ticket agent did not get me a ticket she got me a reservation. Spent an hour and a half waiting on hold to get to a ticket agent to help me get home.... The only thing that person could do was get me on a flight the next morning with no compensation for cab or hotel or meals.... And $100 credit to a future travel. After a whole lot of tears and I'm not embarrassed to admit it, a red vest which is a supervisor worked his magic was able to get me on a plane that night to go back home and it was an upgraded ticket to first class which is the only reason for three stars instead of one. By the way do not get the beyond meat burrito it has zero flavor lol

Tonight was one of the worst travel experiences I've had in YEARS. Every single Delta worker with whom I spoke today was completely and utterly unhelpful. My flight was delayed by an HOUR--which set back my getting to the hotel--and caused a chain of events including being late to pick up baggage, not being able to find help to direct me to the right baggage claim, not having enough signage to direct me to rideshare (this is on the airport in Atlanta), and then getting me stuck outside the wrong entrance of the hotel. All because I was late starting with your flight. And what explanation is there for wasting hours of my time with this bull? Nothing. And let's talk about why your seats are *so* uncomfortable and why people can recline *so much*. Why is your "complimentary" food cart so unimpressively cheap? Why the hell do you never have enough room for every carry-on bag such that I have to check my luggage when i don't want to and risk you losing it or not letting it arrive with me--which you have done before.

Ever…read more After a 2 hour flight delay before my husband's 2 hour flight from Boise to Orange County, he attempted to move his carryon from under the seat in front of him to the empty overhead bin. He was reprimanded by the flight attendant and was told he hadn't paid for a carryon. He was sent a survey where he shared his experience. You would think they might respond to such a disappointed customer but no response whatsoever. Apparently, no customer service!

Last year my family did a trip to Kauai via Southwest and they made it so easy. This year we did a trip to Boise and it was a nightmare. First off, the assigned seating makes no sense. We were either in the back row and in class 3 or in the front of the plane and in group 8. Made it very hard to put our bags away. They took away their family boarding which meant we had to walk down the tiny aisle with toddlers, multiple bags and multiple car seats hitting other passengers as we made our way down ( it just makes no sense because you have assigned seating- just let me have some extra time to settle). The lady at the gate check gave me hell with our carseat although it was a Cosco ( airplane approved). Then on the plane, the steward told us to put my daughter rare facing and I thought it was a new regulation- so I followed. Then halfway through the ride, another stewardess came out telling us that in good faith she can't let us fly this way and made us relocate in the middle of turbulence which caused my kid to get scared and start screaming. On our return trip, they also told us at the check in counter that our bags were fine, but prior to boarding they made me check in my bag due to space issues. But on the plane there was plenty of overhead space available. To put a cherry on top of everything, our steward ( who may have never been on a plane before) brought our drinks to the wrong aisle 5 minutes before landing and poured the tomato juice mix all over the poor guy sitting in the aisle seat. I'd still love to fly Southwest, but after this experience, I'm far more likely to shop around.

The handle broke and is no longer usable…read more There's no spirit claims area by luggage claim in boise they told us to go all the way to ticketing to file the claim. We weren't dragging our bag upstairs to ticketing after a flight and we were exhausted. I filed the claim online on Tuesday and we were leaving Thursday morning. The claim still didn't go threw. I said im not paying 80 for the bag and have to buy a new one when we get home. I said I wanted to speak with a manager and he was at the gate. What does that help? If I didn't pay for my bag he would move us to a flight tomorrow? Also, what would that help. I had no choice to pay. Im sticking with united or jet blue from now on, at least they have better customer service.

It cost $500 to buy 20,000 points. When you use them 20,000 points saves you $160 on your flight. I can't imagine why they're having financial problems.
