I wasted insurance money from other dentists because they couldn't fix my issue. After doing alot of research, I finally decided to call Allen Dental Braintree. Thanks to the front desk (Gina) who was very patient with me, explained and assured me that the dentists there can and will fix my issue. The dental hygienist Nicole also had a very friendly attitude and because of this, I felt less nervous. Other things I've noticed: I did feel my appt with the dentist was rushed. The place is roomy but there was some unpleasant smell in the waiting area. I got a sore throat a couple days later after the appt and I do think it was from this dentist office. I did not have any work done at this place so I cannot say about their work. But their referral specialist did fix my issue that had been bothering me for years. The whole team is thoughtful, GENTLE, consultative, and kind. Dr. Hasan is knowledgeable, smart, and has fantastic bedside manner. My husband and I have had great dental work done, and the hygienists have been fabulous. Rarely ever any discomfort or pain, and if I've called out that it's painful, they immediately do what they can to make sure I'm comfortable. Even recently, my 2 year old chipped his teeth and we got him in to Dr. Hasan pretty quickly. She eased our worry (the parents) with a calm and light hearted approach, to an easy-fix situation. I Would Not Recommend due to Extremely Poor Communication…read more After my initial X-ray visit, I was told the doctor would contact me virtually to review the results since I'm not local. When I didn't receive a call, I followed up and spoke with Miranda and the experience was incredibly frustrating. She was extremely difficult. Instead of helping, she was combative and dismissive. We went back and forth on the phone for about seven minutes over a simple request: arranging the follow-up call I had already been told to expect. I had to ask multiple times before she finally agreed to have the doctor call me directly. When I asked when I could expect the call, she told me the doctor is "busy all day, every day" and couldn't provide even a general timeframe. That response was unprofessional and unnecessary. I completely understand that doctors are busy but basic communication and courtesy should still apply. This interaction made an already stressful situation worse. I hope management addresses how patients are spoken to, because no one should have to push this hard just to receive follow-up.

After a cursory exam, he recommended a scaling/root planing, which is a procedure done by the hygienist in that office. I had it done, but was disappointed in follow-up appointments that my gums continued to bleed. I recalled something my father (a periodontist) had told me: a scaling should only be done by a periodontist. So I started calling around, and found Dr. Kondrat, who does this procedure himself. Even though it was out of my way, I made an appointment. After a much more thorough exam, he recommended another scaling/root planing, which he performed himself. A month later, he had me back to check my new baseline. I was elated that ALL my trouble pockets had decreased to normal range.. and there was no bleeding. What an excellent outcome! I guess my dad was right: this procedure should not be done by a hygienist, only by a periodontist. Besides being painstakingly thorough, Dr. Kondrat is warm and amiable (like the rest of his staff), and the whole experience was a pleasure. Well worth the trip!!
