When I arrived at the office two days later, they told me I could not be seen and that they left me a voicemail about needing a referral, which I don't need under my insurance. I confirmed they could not see my newborn and left with my screaming newborn. They were insistent on having left me voicemails, but when they read my cell phone number back to me, they had the wrong number on file, so someone else received the voicemails. Perhaps they should confirm contact details. To continuously insist they had left me a voicemail in a rude tone when I had told them I didn't was very frustrating. Do they really think I would get a cancellation voicemail and then cart my screaming newborn to their office for the fun of it? Pretty annoying when you help out by taking a cancellation and they don't have their ducks in a row as to what is needed for an appointment and then they leave a voicemail on the wrong number and you've carted your newborn around for no reason. Super unprofessional, and frankly, the ladies at the front desk were super rude instead of apologetic since they had messed up. I will not be going back here as they are clearly incompetent and recommend you look elsewhere as well. If this is how they treat a prospective new client, how would they treat you once you're actually a client? I don't want to find out.

When I first visited Dr. Simons I had not been to a dentist in over a year and wanted to find the right dentist and establish a place to go. So needless to say I was a little hesitant at 1st to have him do anything except teeth cleaning. Since I had not been in over a year they they used a 'power scaling' device to clean all the tarter. I went back on a regular basis - actually every 3 months to make sure I was on track. I think I waited until at least a year or two to go by before I actually had him do any work on my teeth. He was very consultative in his approach, conservative and giving me options along the way over the past 25 years. I had some cavities that had been filled for many years. We replaced some of them slowly. We also did inline work, and finally when I split a molar that had a major filling in it we capped that (emergency visit - did a temp same day!). He does beautiful work, always up on the latest technology that is available (but tested). Eventually I started to replace all my molars that had large fillings with caps - before they split. We were conservative and did two a year. His hygienists are both awesome, knowledgeable, great to answer questions and always there to help. His office manager is on top of all the insurance and made sure any reimbursements were taken care of. Professionals all around. I can highly recommend Dr. Simons and his team, they will not let you down!

Applied antiseptic along the gum line. Smoothed out my bite splint. Was relieved when he advised that my pain was most likely just a gum inflammation issue, treatable at home by mild antibiotic, NSAID, and more thorough flossing (in-shower type). Already feel much better, with pain/discomfort gone after just a few days. Caitlin, Marianne, and Liz and Lis helped with the process -- always a great team experience at Schumacher Dental.
