Not a bad park- smaller than most but nice scenery. Always clean and like the welcoming sign that has a splash of color to it.

This is a pretty small dog park, with only one area for all dogs backed up next to a baseball field. My husband and I used to go to this dog park all the time when he lived over there, but now I only go occasionally when I choose to bring my pup to work and we both need a break for lunch. The people have always been nice, but the grounds have not always been kept up. I understand that it's a dog park and it will get messed up from time-to-time, especially in the summer, but a little upkeep would be nice. They recently "remodeled" it, but I don't see much difference, besides them reseeding the grass and taking out grass in half of the area. Not sure why they would take out the grass, as now it is dirt/mud/sand, and your pups are SURE to need a bath once you leave. I will come back to this park because it is the closest one to my work, but other than that there is really no other reason for us to come here. We have driven past this park to go to Chaparral Dog Park because it is much nicer, although we would prefer to come to this one because of proximity. Oh well!

A few times each week I come here to enjoy my breakfast and coffee in the early morning. It's peaceful and relaxing and fun. Try it sometimes.

    Grass for now.

Classic dog park. Grass. Te dirt end is clay and full of pollen, fine dust. Clay is red. Very bad in cars....not sure who had the smart idea of the red clay. .... 75 percent of the park is grass. Few people actually pick up after their dogs. Near apartments so there are a lot of trashy people. The upside. The dogs are 95 percent of the time we'll behaved

A nice little dog park that has benches, picnic tables, shade, and water. Most of the park is dirt with grass around the perimeter. I'd rather see the opposite, more grass than dirt. People don't seem to pick up after their dogs as I went around with the pooper scooper and picked up 3 large loads of waste without even trying. Several waste bins are provided with several pooper scoopers available for patrons. Waste bags are also provided near the entrances. Access is via double gates to keep dogs from escaping. I liked the bowls built into the ground that are fed with water bubbling up from below with which dogs can get a drink.

    Playful

This is a crate, centrally, located, dog park, and gathering area for dog lovers. Highly recommend.

Biggest plus places to sit. Lots of small to medium size dogs. Not a fan of the large dirt area.

This is not the closest place for me to go but it's by far the best. 3 large fenced in dog park areas, many types of friendly and fun pooches will be there for your fur babies to play with. It's fun for me to see all the different types of breeds that come here. Most of the pups are well behaved. I've seen a couple times some negligent owners on their phones so spaced out, don't pick up their dogs poop or watch what their dogs are doing, but as far as dog parks go- it's the best for not having to stress that something negative will happen. I've been to other dog parks in the area that just had bad vibes. This one is nice and happy. It's as clean as a dog park can be, they do regular maintenance to the grounds, and there is a huge parking lot. It's also nice to walk the dogs in that area as well. My boys love it here and I'm happy to take them. Important to note- check the hours on certain days since they do the maintenance and close the parks. I've shown up a couple times forgetting about this and it was closed, so we just went for a nice walk instead.

It's nice they try to put in the effort to keep the park clean, which I appreciate. There are plenty of garbage cans for waste, which makes it easy to keep things tidy. Unfortunately some people don't pick up after their dogs. The park seems more dirty after the weekends, because more dogs are there Saturday and Sunday so more opportunities for people to not clean up after their dogs. Come on people, keep an eye on your pup and do the right thing!!! I do wish there were more trees or shaded spots out in the grass for the pups during the hotter months -- it can get pretty toasty out there. The picnic tables are under a shade structure, which is good. It would awesome if they could plant more trees. Every now and then, you'll see someone with a larger but mellow dog in the small dog area, but honestly, they all seem well-behaved and gentle, just a bit shy around the bigger dogs. There have been quite a few flies, but that seems to be more of a general outdoor issue everywhere, not specific to the park. Hopefully as the weather cools the flies go away. Overall, it's a good place for friendly, social dogs to run, play, and make new friends. Worth visiting if you're looking for dog park in the area.

Unfortunately, many owners do not pick up their dog's poop. Walking through the parks is like walking through a minefield. There are plenty of pooper scooper shovels and rakes, but many owners are too lazy to use them. I had to clean off my shoes before entering my home afterwards. Come on people, pick up after your dogs. You're ruining the experience for the many who care.

During this eventful weekend, arriving early around 6am is ideal for grabbing the coveted spots under the trees. By 8am, the lot is likely full since the first heats have started. Street parking is also more than likely out of the question by then. During some downtime, I got the chance to explore the park and noticed lots of birds on the trees yapping away. Cranes over near the pond picking at morsels as far as I can tell. Canadian geese marching by and chilling near the gazebo. Medium sized fishes, possibly tilapia, congregating upstream in the river. Dog owners hanging and chatting while their pets pat each other down. Joggers passing by being careful not to step on the occasional brownie. Simply put, this is the abundance of the local park experience.
