Friday my awning was ripped off and landed on my roof. I called him at 8:30 that night.He said he was real busy but he would try to get there soon. I knew the awning was destroyed. 9:00 Saturday the next day he called and he was on his way.He looked at the awning and said maybe we can save it. I did not believe it!! What life savers! We are full timers and had an emergency water leak under our RV (of course this happens right before Labor Day). Horizon guys were able to shift a few things around and get out to our RV park ASAP, so we can could get to our next destination. They were VERY up front about pricing which was reasonable. We've had some lousy experiences in the past with dishonest RV repair guys but not in this case. Horizon guys were great! Honest! On time! Well priced (nice guys too) . Martin is skilled, knowledgeable and prompt! He shows up when he says he will. We hired him to install a tongue box on our T@B teardrop trailer. We also had him replace the bearings. He did a great job and was finished in 2 days. Our only advice: Get a written estimate and be prepared to pay with cash. Note: We requested a written estimate and he declined. We had him do the work and the total was $100 more than verbal quote. When we complained, he knocked $50 off. He's a great, professional friendly guy who knows his stuff. Was camped at Orange Grove RV Park 10 miles west of Bakersfield. In the wee hours of the night had a water line break inside our 5th wheel. That morning looked into the situation and found a broken plastic valve. Yes, I could run all over Bakersfield and try to find the part but if I didn't then what. Decided to use the RV park's recommendation and call Horizon RV. Wow, am I ever glad I did. Martin at first did not think he was going to get to me until the next day. But at 0930 he called to say he was on his way. Good thing I did this as he had the right control valve, the only one he had left and he tells me they are hard to come by. Could not have asked for any faster service nor any better service. This guy will go all out to fix your problem. Highly recommended. read more

OMG! What great service Martin provided. We had a problem with our electrical system (2 wires crossed and melted) and we had no power into the trailer. We were still over 150 miles from Bakersfield and we called Horizon. He came to us after we had checked into the RV Park. He fixed the most immediate issues and restored full power. He then asked if there were any other issues and fixed a few of them while here. He was great and even gave us tips for some really good food in town. This place was great. I was having a stressful day after my sewage hose broke, and they fit me in same-day. They told me where I could find a cheap replacement hose nearby so I could save money on parts. When it came time to do the repair, we found a much simpler solution and they helped me fix it free of charge! Good people. read more

Pulled into Bakersfield RV Resort after a 8 hour drive in 115 heat and when we came out after registering, our rig wouldn't start. Called AAA and they were over an hour delay, got Martins card from the resort and called him. It was after hours and he thought it was an override relay and trouble shot it with me over the phone. I was searching for the relay to reset it and sending him pictures but couldn't find it. He wasn't able to make it out until the morning but asked me to let him know what AAA said when they arrived. Just before AAA arrived I tried to start it and it started, the relay must have reset itself when it cooled down. We pulled into our spot and let Martin know what happened. He said to give him a call in the morning if it was still a problem and he would come out. It started in the morning and we made it home. Many thanks to Martin and his concern and efforts. read more

Pulled into orange grove RV here in Bakersfield. It's 103 outside. The ac won't work. Horizon came right over on a Saturday afternoon. Serviced the ac fixed the problem (insulation had dropped on the fan). Dropped the air coming out of the vent from 75 to 45. They gave us plenty of good hints about how to do it ourselves next time including which products to buy. They spotted other problems on the roof and told us how to fix them ourselves (they would have done it but my husband can do it). Couldn't have been more pleasant. Martin is an extremely talented and professional RV Technician. Our 5th wheel Landing gear broke due to poor quality manufacturing. Thank goodness it failed after we had hooked up the tow vehicle. The manager of the RV Park we checked in to highly recommended him, so gave him a call. He was out to visit us within the hour. Had the broken gear removed, disassembled and found the problem. Took the gear back to his shop because he thought that he might be able to repair the gear with parts he had on hand. read more

I am new to RV'ing and have found it difficult to find good places to get work done at a reasonable price. A neighbor recommended Horizon, I called and was given an appointment time for the next day. Martin - the owner - was extremely polite, explained what would be done clearly, simply and pleasantly. They installed a new skylight, repaired the very stuck lever on my grey water tank and found the problem that kept my water heating from working all in under three hours. WIth both the lever and water heater I could have been told I needed much more expensive replacement and repairs, but they did absolutely what was needed to return everything to good functioning and nothing more. Fernando was a hard working, really pleasant guy who did a great job at installing and sealing the new skylight. The prices were extremely fair. All in all, it was the best experience I have had in a long time. I drove away feeling like I had hit the mother lode in terms of honest, fairly priced, pleasant, efficient service from a business where they knew what they were doing and were good at it. read more
