I first met Mike about 2 years ago. I had an A/C problem. He came out & looked at my unit. He advised me that a wire was lose. He only charged me the service call. I thought I had found a nice honest local Mobile RV repair. When I had an issue I did not hesitate to call Mike. I called him and told him my slide out would not come in. He came over looked at the unit and advised it was probably the gearbox. I decided to have him replace the gearbox and the motor because he said they came together as a package and it would be cheaper. I gave him $300 for that. When he came back the gearbox looked new but the motor was all worn and dirty. I asked him is this motor used because it looks dirty and he said no I had that one already. I thought that was odd because I gave him the money to order the parts together. After he had put the motor and gearbox on the slide out was still doing the same thing. He said the motor must be bad I will get you a new one. I again thought this was odd because it was supposed to be new to begin with. Either way he came back with a new motor in package & he installed the new motor. But the same problem was happening so he said he would have to come back and make contact with the warranty part of the motor to find out why it's not working. Unfortunately I already paid him the other $300 because the total cost was $600. So he already got his money and he never came back to check on the RV. Of course every time I asked him for a receipt he always left his receipt book in the other truck. So unfortunately I do not have a receipt. I now have a slide out with a new motor and gearbox that still will not slide into the trailer. I have called him daily this last week without a response. I decided to check Google reviews and I was surprised at what I saw. But actually I am not surprised and I wish I would have checked again once before calling Mike back to fix my RV. I have no idea what happened to this guy for why he is the way he is now. So today I went to his yard to approach him about him blowing me off, having very bad communication as well as not fixing my RV. I arrived just before he got to the yard. I told him I wanted half my installation back because the job is not complete and he said I'm not giving you any money back. His ultimate response was take me to court! Shame on me for not doing my homework of looking at his Yelp and Google reviews. His reviews are horrible. This company is a scam, we paid him to do work on my In-Laws 5th wheel. He did part of the work and never finished the rest, even after we paid him in full. We call, we text and we even go by the shop, but the gates are locked and someone always says no don't know him but there big truck is there usually after 5/6 pm. and he never returns our calls etc. Please never use this dam dude's service because he's a ripoff and we will nvr use this idiot again. November 2023. I contacted Mike to repair the leveling Jacks on my RV. I gave him a deposit of $1500 to order parts. He came back in Dec but the part ordered did not fix the problem. He asked for another $1125 to order additional parts. Since Jan I have called multiple times , left text messages with the office manager Brenda. Mike never returns my calls. I have received several text messages from Brenda with nothing but empty promises and Mike never returns my messages. I went by his shop and encountered a couple of very unhappy customers who have experienced the same issues. Both have paid him monies and he doesn't return phone calls. I paid him 6,500.00 to buy a new air uni. it took 5 months and over 100 calls and text then finally when I threatened to bring the sheriffs department out he returned my motor home. the unit is sitting on my driveway not installed and he refuses to refund me my money. I have two driveways. one we just poured new concrete on and had caution tape in front of. he tore down the tape and drove over it even after I told him not to. this guy is not only a horrible businessman but he is a horrible human. Who treats people like this? This is unbelievable. I will be filling a complain't with the Bureau of Automotive Repairs plus filling a small claims case against him. anyone reading this who has the same experience should do the same. We had been using Mike for 2 years then we had an accident and had to take our rig to his warehouse (6341 Superior Rd for those of you looking for him). Mike was paid from the insurance claim and said he needed the $ upfront to buy parts. We had never had an issue with him before so it did not set off any red flags. We had additional repairs we needed done. He had our rig for a total of 17 months! He was given over $3000 for repairs. Then he began not answering texts/calls/messages. On the VERY rare occasion he'd text back, he said our rig is "almost done". Then the ghosting began. For 3 months he did not return a single text/phone call/email. Nothing, nada. Found a NextDoor app post with other victims. We were finally able to get him to acknowledge our demand to return our rig. We got our rig back and there has been ZERO work completed and there is more body damage to it that wasnt there when we dropped it off!! He gave every excuse under the sun why the work was not done. It would have been somewhat understandable if he would have just answered/called/told us what was going on. I find it VERY hard to believe that it has taken 17 months to repair 3 different issues and he could not do even one of them!!! He has not been insured or properly licensed since 2015, he is currently being sued by someone else, i have found 3 other "victims" of his scheming. I have filed complaints with KCSO (no results), DA's Office (waiting to hear back), BBB, Dept of Consumer Affairs, California Insurance Commission, DMV, and Bureau of Automotive Repairs. We made every honest effort do work with this guy but he just screwed us in the end. He has ripped off the 3 people I know of for over $15 grand. BUYER BEWARE, if you give him a dime you will never see it again, he will NEVER call you and you will not get any work done. This was several years ago and should have done this then but better than never. Mike came out and checked the fridge which was a dead player and needed to be replaced. Paid him and he didn't call or show up as agreed. Many phone calls and messages on his recorder and excuses and more unanswered calls. Ended up canceling my reservations because he didn't come replace it when he said he would. Had to eat the cost of that plus deal with this guy. Finally came over and I think his kid did the work. Went in to check it out and noticed it had the old doors on it and he said they didn't come with new doors. I didn't know any better. Mike's knowledge, experience, customer service and professionalism are outstanding. And his follow up after the work has been fantastic! Its hard to find this level of Customer Service anywhere these days - Thank you Mike! We had an issue with our older Hydro-Hot (Aqua-Hot) system, and we were 2,500+ miles away from our "homebased" in Florida. We found Mike through the Aqua-Hot certified mechanics listing and are we glad we did. Even before we had Mike come out to our coach while in Bakersfield, he took the time to do some very thorough "pre-diagnosis" work with me to identify the issue and order what he would need to correct the problem. He ordered the parts, showed up ON TIME as scheduled, repaired and replaced what was needed - and then some - in a quick and efficient manor, and even help with a few other minor issues I was having. Mike offered his services "over the phone" anytime as we headed back to Florida - and he truly meant it! We had a few additional issues related to our older Hydro-Hot (NOT his work) that we needed to talk with him about and some generator questions and he has continued to "talk me through" them every time I call. In fact, once we returned to Florida, he had multiple conversations with our Florida RV Technician in an effort to get our unit running "like new" at 18 years old. Mike was driving through the camping area and I stopped him. My faucet broke on Thursday so We had to keep the water off until he helped me on Saturday. He didn't have a replacement so he capped off the cold water to the faucet and stopped the leaking. We can now wash. I'm sure our neighbors are thankful. Fast and polite Thanks Mike!! read more

At first I thought Mikes reviews on Google and yelp were because he didn't know how to manage his reviews. I was incorrect. Mike came by to fix my AC thermostat and when he entered my RV he stepped on my stairs and ripped the stairs apart from the floor. He only charged my $500 to fix the stairs he broke. When I took the RV to his shop to fix the stairs and AC he did a good job fixing the stairs. With the AC he bypassed the heater to get the AC to work and promised me the parts for the AC are on order. 2 months later he won't return calls. I can only get random text back from the phone number listed as his business saying the parts will be in this week. 2 months later it's evident Mike still scams people by taking their money for parts and never following through. If it makes you feel better you can going by his yard and talk to the elderly people living in the van in his parking lot. They seem to be nice but claim to have no way to contact Mike and know nothing about his business. My recommendation stay away from Mike Mobile RV. read more

Guy is a total hack. Reused a dometic Ceiling kit with a coleman air conditioner. Installed 13.5k BTU Air conditioners when customer was charged and wanted 15k BTU. Half assed a 50 amp service upgrade . Think he is now out of business. read more

I will definitely be using this guy again! Planned to leave for a camping trip. Pulled out trailer on a Friday, planning to leave the next morning. Started up the generator to test it just to find out that it wasn't producing power. Called several RV and generator shops who all told me the same thing, 10-14 days, and 4-5 hundred dollars. Told my kids that we were not going to be able to go. Called Mike at 4:45pm, explained my problem and the urgency on hand. He had us up and running by 7pm for less than half of everybody else! I contacted Mike on Tuesday. He and his employee arrived more than 90 minutes after the agreed upon time. We were having problems with our refrigerator, it wasn't able to stay below 60 degrees. As we live in our rig, this is an urgent situation. Mike made a couple of adjustments to our cooling system and requested that I call him the following morning between 8-8:30am. (He would be at the campground on Thursday.) I called and left a voice message informing him that the temp in the fridge was holding at 60 degrees. It is now late Thursday night and I have not heard from him! I don't understand the lack of communication and customer service. Potential clients beware! This is NOT a company that has any regard for the needs of its customers. There is no integrity to be found in this company. I would NOT recommend Mike's for anything. Mike was professional and answered all our questions, he went over possible issues since we bought our RV used it gave us a piece of mind knowing everything was checked/inspected. I met Mike when he was sent to my buddies house on a warranty item on his brand new RV. Mike came in assessed the situation corrected the problem and took care of it on the spot. I just happen to be at my buddies house removing my rear hydraulic jacks on my motorhome to take to a company to rebuild them. Mike mention that he's been repairing motorhomes for 27 years and was capable of rebuilding the jacks and the price he gave me for rebuilding the 2 of them was more than fair. When I got the jacks back and installed them for whatever reason I had an electrical problem and after communicating with LCI components for over a week trying to resolve the issue I became stressed and frustrated because I had paid to have the jacks repair but couldn't test them to see if the rebuild was ok. I texted Mike which he told me that was the best way to get in touch with him and explained what was going on and he set a date and time and came out and took care of the problem in less than a hour. I asked how much I owed him and he told me nothing. At that time I had to tell him about my skepticism and he explained that he understood and during the time of his bad reviews he was really going through a a lot, not to say he was making excuses but to say it was really rough time in his life. Not to talk about his personal business but I understood. I write this review because Mike was a savior for me I could go on and on but I won't. He also connected some LED lights underneath my awning at a very reasonable price. Mike I am very happy that we met and I appreciate you more than you know. Being a new owner of a used motorhome having a mobile mechanic that I have confident in and is trust worthy is a blessing from God. Mike has become unreliable and should not be trusted. He does not follow up. He does not meet obligations and appointments. I believed him to be honest and forthright but he no longer is. I have used Mike's Mobile RV Care on multiple occasions and have been satisfied unfortunately not in this instance. Mike Legge was hired to repair/replace Reference Service Order 2246: Labor charges: Repair Body Damage $500, Repair & Replace Kitchen Faucet $50.00, Diagnostic Check Engine Light/Replace EGR Solnid $150.00, Repair Squeaky Steering Wheel $75.00, Install Customer Supplied Back Up Camera $175.00, Diagnostic on ABS Light Replace Rear ABS Sensor $125.00 Parts: Body Repair Parts $50.00, Hi Arc Faucet $50.49, FTZ-8245-48546 EGR Solnoid $127.99, FTZ-1542-37512 ABS Sensor $89.88 The total cost with tax and $50.00 Service call was $1477.24. This was paid at the end of the repairs on 7/21/2016. I took my RV out for a trip after the completion of the repairs and within 5 miles the ABS Light and the Check Engine lights both came on again. All other repairs with the exception of the Check Engine Light, the ABS light, and two of the running lights are not working after the body repairs are fine and complete, I immediately began calling Mike Legge to let him know that there was a problem and both lights have come on again and that I was unable to have the RV smogged with the Check Engine light on. I have called Mike's Mobile RV Care and left dozens of messages. On several occasions the voice mail has been full and would not let me leave a message. After almost 3 months of repeated attempts and many messages left on voice mail I have not had a return call for follow up. I have been completely ignored. Since I still needed to have the car smogged I did go to another shop and they had to complete the work to resolve the check engine light repairs redone. According to the mechanic the EGR Solnoid did not appear to replaced since the part appeared to be the original Ford part. The ABS light is still in need of repair. read more

A few months back a few fellow RV owners told me to call Mike. I left voice mail twice and no return call. I then saw him finishing another job near me and went to talk to him. He said he definitely would give me an estimate and make a list and bring to him while he was working on another RV. I made the list and took it to him and he said he'd be over after that job was finished. I also mentioned a water smell that worried me. He left without coming over and I left one more voice mail and no call back. I'm not sure what and why I was ignored and that is what bothers me. I was pleasant, was not pushy, did not take more then a minute of his time in person, and just surprised since others like him. I'm now having to look for an apartment since the leak is now a full flood. It's hard to find a good RV person in Bakersfield. I didn't want to rent yet since I'm leaving the state soon as my transfer goes in. It really bothers me why he chose not to follow up. read more

We have been trying to get Mike to come and work on my father's RV since December. I wanted to take my dad, who has terminal brain cancer, to the beach. I have called, gone to his house, and emailed him to make an appt. When I did get a hold of him he said he would definitely make it by since I just live around the corner from him. He never called nor showed up. We finally were able to talk to him on the phone in February, and it took almost 3 weeks before he showed up on a Saturday. He then said he would be by on Thursday to change the oil and check on the batteries. It has been a week, and he has not responded to our phones or emails. Unfortunately his voicemail box is always full. We had paid him for the service, he cashed the check, and never completed the service. That, I understand was our fault, but he knows my dad's prognosis, and that isn't encouraging him to do what he says and when he says. I am very disappointed that he would treat a customer with an illness the way he has treated my father. I would not recommend him to anybody, and I have emailed him my feelings. read more

I had an appointment set 2 weeks in advance for repair work. I cleared my day to be there. No show, no phone call. I called the business an hour and a half after the scheduled time. No answer. I left a message which was supposed to be returned by the next day. Nothing again. Called the next day and left a 2nd message for at least a call back. Again, nothing.
