So I had my cap painted as it was fading. This is what Bakersfield RV looks like 5 years mdown the road. The issue is they did no prep work rather just painted over the surface. I just had it repainted and was told they should have sanded and prepped the clear coat before they painted. No response to my complaint as well. Buyer beware. read more

I'm so happy that I finally found a place that I can trust to work on my trailer. The best part is my trailer didn't sit. It was done in one week. Ronnie RV service team knocked it out of the park, As they were getting ready to repack all the wheel bearings it appeared that all four wheel seals have been leaking and contaminated all the brakes and magnets they replace all four backing plates and fixed the water heater. German RV collusion team repaired the damage from my tire blow out. German kept me up to date on how things were going you never get that customer service these days. Ronnie and German are just great. I love their work and they will work with you. They are honest and do efficient work. I had a body repair, partial repainting and they buffed out the majority of body and it looked great. German could have done more, which was going to cost me more, but he knew what I was looking for and gave me a great job for what I was budgeted for. Ronnie got working on the coach coating the roof, instaling a new AC, solar panels, new water tank, water pump, remove and install rebuilt generator, and rebuilt the battery rack for generator access. So Ronnie did a shit load of work for a good price, and now we love Ronnie. The crew is very good and worked hard on our Queenie (love Chuck Berry) during the hot summer months. They don't like spending your money on something they think is not worth it. On the same token, they will give you honest work for your money, so you can trust them. read more

My first experience with these guys was when we rented a trailer from Beach Bound Trailers and a freak wind ripped the awning off, she said we can have it repaired or she can and told us of these guys. Well needless to say it was a lot cheaper than we ever thought it would of been. They fixed it and delivered it back to the rental place for us. Now that was service We bought a used RV, this is our first. They offer a FREE inspection?? Hmm what is the catch?? Nothing.... yep nothing if there was anything wrong we had the choice of having them give me an estimate or taking it somewhere else. Unheard of. Well it was an 11 year old 5th wheel and it had a few minor issues but nothing to shake a stick at. Unbelievable that they would do that inspection for free becauce the other places don't. I get the method of the madness, but that is customer service. They are super friendly and yes look at their yard, packed with customers RV's so that in itself says a lot. When they fixed all of the minor issues we took it to a local lake to do our maiden voyage to try out everything and of course we hooked up and didn't put whatever you are suppose to put on your water hose and the toilet leaked immediately....... Mike came out right away to the lake and fixed the leak for us, now that is unheard of. These guys are amazing and deserve all of the 5 stars I can give. This place deserves 10 stars. I called and talked to German the other day about an issue I was having with my propane fridge. He didn't say, "...bring it in and we'll look at it." He spent 25 minutes on the phone with me trying to help me work it out...this in itself was really great. However, I couldn't get it to work, so I drove it in to his shop. He remembered me, said that the ship was busy, but took me out to my RV and spent his own time looking at the problem and it was fixed in a few minutes. Who does that in this day and age? I called in to get an estimate on some work that I wanted done on my campervan and was told that I'd have to leave my van on their lot for 4 days before they'd even look at it due to Covid. I feel that this is EXTREME. I understand the need to be cautious. Air out the van, disenfect areas of concern, wear a mask and gloves, etc. But to think that my van is a big cootie zone that is that infectiouse is just more than I can take. I called for an estimate for the damage on my RV. German asked me to send him pictures of the damage (which I did). He made various promises that he never followed through with. I had structural damage in the roof and while waiting for him to do what he said he would do, I then had more damage on the inside of my RV from heavy rainstorms. It has now been 3 months..I hate giving bad reviews so I called today to find out why he did bot follow through. I thought maybe he would have a good reason and this review would not be necessary but all he could say was that he took time off of work and he just never got to it.....REALLY???? read more

I was just lucky, I guess, that this business popped up first in my Google search while in Bakersfield. I had a propane leak and needed it fixed ASAP, and while I waited, because I live FT in my RV. Most full-timers know that it can be frustrating to try get repairs done while you wait, especially at the bigger places (like dealers). I was relieved that German took my concern seriously and completely understood my need to wait for repairs. He got me in within 36 hours, and they even had a comfortable waiting room for me and my cat (which is not always the case with independent shops). On a trip with our trailer the slide out quit working and the kitchen faucet disintegrated. Called many repair shops from Woodland to Bakersfield with the same result - could not assist for a week or more. These wonderful folks said stop by and they'll do what they can although they're booked solid. Dropped off the trailer next day and they squeezed in a few hours work and fixed both. We had urgent issue on our jacks and slide and called this place. Although very busy they said to stop by and they would at least check it for safety. Both problems turned out to be greater than a quick check but he topped off our jack fluids and cranked in the broken slide so we could head on our way. The folks at Bakersfield RV Center have given us superior business ethics over the last couple of years. We bought a 2003 motorhome in 2013 that had a number of issues. Our first stop was Camping World, but the pricing seemed a little too high and their sales people work on commission, plus we had issues with some of their work. One of the reasons I tried Bakersfield RV was that they not only do normal repairs but also collusion repairs. On my first visit I needed some molding that ran the 40' length of our MH repaired where it had been bent and separated from the body. I was ready for a large bill, but the manager when over his recommendations, one expensive and the other just a few minutes of labor. If I remember correctly, I was charged 1/2 hour for the repair done with some strategically placed screws, expert manipulation of the molding, and some sealant. Future visits gave me for more price shocks. I thought I had a leak in my gray tank; they pressured it up but couldn't find a leak ... no charge because "it only took a few minutes." Can you imagine that happening at Camping World? We moved from Taft to Cayucos, about a 125 miles, and we still take our MH to Bakersfield RV, but they make it VERY easy for us. They have a large lot to park RVs, so they never pressured us to hurry back to get our MH. We travel a lot due to business, and they have always (maybe a half dozen times) worked us in to get some little thing fixed before we head out. At least three time we have dropped the MH off, go have breakfast do some shopping, pick our MH up a few hours later and head out. Once when I was thanking German, the manager, for always helping us out, he said it was simply their policy to help anyone away from home if they could meet all their other obligations on schedule. Most businesses simply give the standard "we're booked until next week" response with their tone and word choice making it clear they're too busy to try and accommodate a traveler with a problem. The reason I'm finally writing this review is because German's neighborly demeanor in doing business finally shamed me into it. His doing the right thing relative to his customers simply was over the top during our last visit. They had repaired our toilet and the part they installed failed, and they repaired the step cover that has defied repair for the last decade by working a while and "resting" a while making it very difficult to solve the problem. When German handed our keys back it was working, but true to form it stopped a day or two latter. (I was starting to believe our MH was haunted ;-) The people we bought the MH from had given up on having it repaired. When Bakersfield RV finished both redo repairs the bill came to exactly zero dollars! The toilet was most likely out of warranty by a month or so, but German's response was it should have lasted longer. As for the step cover he knew that it had proven unsolvable for other repair shops. His position was simple; they tried and failed and they would make it right. These folks are poster candidates for what good, moral business practices look like. If you live in the Bakersfield area, you'll be doing yourself a favor to experience their old fashion, handshake way of doing business, and if you're traveling through Bakersfield with a sick RV, call them first!!! read more
