Horizon was a great choice for our plumbing needs. They were able to send a technician within hours of our phone call and at a surprisingly affordable rate. In our desperate position, we were treated fairly by the company. Cody did an excellent job and represented himself and horizon with great dignity and workmanship. We called on a Friday night for a slow drain in the kitchen which he was able to fix. He was educational, polite and cleaned up the area very well when finished. Cody definitely set a high standard for the trade and has great potential. read more

Do NOT sign up for their services - in February I scheduled my spring tune up appoint, the best they could do was 2-6 PM the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. I received a call at 11 AM stating that they had emergency calls and couldn't make my appoint (on a day where it never made it out of the 60's). Best reschedule they could give me was 7/5 (another holiday weekend). I asked for a manager to call and discuss my options, no luck. Finally called them today and was assured that a manager would call back in 10 minutes - still waiting. Don't waste your money with these people read more

They always blame the customer when they do something wrong. I was blamed for not listening to a voice mail they left me cancelling the appt I scheduled months ago. They cancelled 15 mins after I confirmed the appt. Then after waiting all day I called to see where the tech was and CS Rep told I should listen to my voice mails since they cancelled me before noon for the appt. I said YOU cancelled 15 mins after I CONFIRMED my confirmation? She said Yes but it was my fault for not listening to my voice mail. She called them with a dripping kitchen faucet and by the time they were done she was out over $6000. They sold her a hot water heater she didn't need and a lot of other BS. Once again, you didn't come through. I got an email on 3/4 as a Comfort360 member. Telling me appointments are open book before non members can. So I did. Made an appointment for today 4/21. Was getting reminder emails and then a confirmation text on 4/20... asking me to confirm my appt. My window of time today was 8am-12 noon. Got a call at 7:52 am.. to cancel the appointment. All booked with emergencies. Next available appt. 7/22/2026. For reference. It is 37 degrees and spring with the temp going to 55 degrees today. I would give zero or even negative stars, if I could. So many problems with this company. Highly DO NOT recommend. Charged 90 something dollars to come out. Said $89 on phone but guy said they didn't include tax when he came. Guy asked to use my WiFi, no way! Said they didn't have the part we needed for heater so would bring it next morning or day. Waited around for them, yet another day, they never contacted me, I had to call them, said they wouldn't have part for another 3 days. We had no heat for 4 days. I was put on hold, every time I called, the initial person you talk to doesn't help with anything, they connect you to someone else, what is the point? They also have very strong accents which are hard to understand and lots of background noise which makes it even harder to understand what they are saying. Was on hold 1 hour and hung up and called again. Quite a few other times only waited on hold 20 minutes, hung up, and called again. Absolute waste of my time. I had to call them on day the part was supposed to be in even though they said they would call me. They said the part was in and they were waiting for me to call them even though they originally said they would call when it came in. Then they couldn't come out until the next day but maybe that day, they weren't sure. So I left my house, when I got to where I was going, they called me and said they were on their way to my house. ???!!!!! So I had to leave and go home, I am still waiting back at home for them now. Which gave me time to write this review. Hope the guy actually shows up soon. Update, an hour later, guy shows up, should have been 30 minutes where he was coming from. Put in new piece. Then said it didn't work. Said I would need a whole new system and I should even just get AC redone at the same time even though it is fine, it would cost about $6000. He could give me a discount if I committed right away. System is not even that old. No way!!!!!!!!! I hope he didn't mess anything up. We still have no heat. I will be using someone else from now on and always be telling everyone not to use Horizon. Also, what is the point of the booties they wear on their feet? I definitely don't recommend! I had them come out a few months ago to remove a garbage disposal and attach pipes back to the sink. Well, a few days ago the pipe detached and water flooded under my sink, severely damaging the cabinet. It looks like the tech that came did not have the right size pipe and used an extension piece. I called, thinking they would stand behind their work and fix it at no charge. Turns out they only warranty their work for 30 days. If they came out to fix it, they would charge me. I tried explaining that it should not have fallen off already, but it is more important to them to charge a service call fee than to keep a customer! read more

Had a regular service maintenance and was told heater system unsafe and we probably needed a whole new system. I explained ours was only 8-1/2 years old and under warranty. Although the part was covered - it would be labor intensive and $4000 to repair just the heater. Decided to shop and other companies confirmed AC looked totally fine. One company wondered why levels reading wrong and looked. They found a bird nest blocking ventilation and when removed heat system was in great working order. Not only saved $11,000 on new HVAC system but saved $4,000 for the heating system. Also - took over two months to discuss warranty work to be performed. Luckily it was summer and we didn't need heat so we had time to explore. I feel sad - I was with Horizon for years and just felt duped for being a good customer. read more

Was sold a new unit on promise it would be more efficient than my unit from 90s and have the best service available. So far our unit is not working and is using up to 4x the energy as 25+ years old unit. At first they set outdoor unit not to come on under 40 degrees now turns on but obviously not working properly. Took days the first time for someone to come out. Was told this is highly unusual but now second time calling for same issue still cannot get someone to come out today. I had an A/C service call. We had to schedule a routine annual service visit (we're on their service plan) and we couldn't get an appointment for 3 months! The service technicians did a nice job until it came to the compressor. They said the capacitor needed to be replaced, and that the capacitor cost was $300. Not knowing any better, I approved the change but requested to keep the old one (which they didn't like). I was going to have the old one tested but decided to check on prices: about $18 to $35 on Amazon for the exact same capacitor!!! Price gouging at it's finest! read more

Setting Unrealistic Expectations. I am a homeowner who's water heater blew on a Friday afternoon. I had just survived a severely long week at work when sitting in my living room, I heard a loud noise and came to find out my water heater had kicked the bucket. I called Horizon Services and the lovely customer service dispatcher informed us the soonest they could get someone there was 10pm that night. My husband asked if he should run to the home improvement store to pick up a water heater so the tech could just come and set it up. The CS dispatcher said it wasn't necessary because even in the middle of the night, they have runners who will bring the water heater and necessary parts while the tech is working. I got a call at 9pm saying the tech was running behind. She said, "Don't worry, the tech is on until 4am, so the work will get done." Ok, fine, it happens. So, we force ourselves to stay up because obviously I can't fully run my house without a water heater. If I need to pull an all nighter, whatever. I got a text saying the tech was on his way and he'd be there in 19 minutes. When the tech called, he said he was 40 minutes away. What? Whatever. I'm in it for the long haul now. He said, "do you still want me to come out?" What a bizarre question. Why wouldn't I? Oh, because there is no late night open warehouse; no runners to bring a water heater and parts. I read that they don't charge extra for evenings and weekends. They don't, but they will charge you astronomical fees for installing a water heater. Now, I might write down what I was quoted to install a water heater that we had purchased before all the stores closed, but I'm sure you want to eat in the next 24 hours and that price will make you nauseous. I give them 5 stars for drain cleaning. They can do the job 100%. I give them a minus 5 stars on toilet replacement. They put it in and it wobbles. In June, they came out and fixed my central air. They fixed it right and it cost a lot. Then now in September, they wanted me to use a prepaid fee to come out to check the Air Con. They keep arguing with me that I need to have the air con checked once a year and I keep telling them,I spent almost a thousand with them in June- why would the Air Con need a service call to check it if it was just rebuilt in June. They keep calling me to spend that prepaid fee on the Air con. They actually are hasseling me about it. So I write this: They can fix air conditioning and clear drains. I wouldn't trust them to replace a toilet. And they seem idiotic about using that prepaid service on something that does not need it. I am sick of them. read more

Horizon bold face lies on the services they provide. AC tuneup consist of cleaning and inspecting the condenser coils per their website. But after scheduling, technician argued it's their discretion. Called to complain about the technician said I never wanted to have him service my unit again for laziness. Was promised to call back that never came. Secondly, after scheduling heating service months in advance, they call to reschedule. I called to complain, I did not want to reschedule, but was told they're prioritizing units that needed fixing. I told operator it's probably because they read the notes that I complained about AC technician, and did not want to him to service my unit. I'm writing to the equipment manufacturers next. Letting them know that their certified service techs should not be authorized to sell their units. read more

Horizon Services Back-Listed Me Need a good plumber? Do not use Horizon Services! They have been my go-to for my sump pump for years... I have a lot of iron in my water, which seems to kill my pumps. They replaced the first one under warranty, and put in a battery back-up pump, which of course I paid for. The second time they said I'd need to pay for the pump, and they wouldn't warrant it because of the water. I agreed, and I paid them. But today I discovered they black-listed me. So my pumps, both primary and back-up, died after all of the rain last week. I called Horizon 3 times today, attempting to make an appointment. The first person told me he couldn't see my entire file, needed to talk to someone, then I was disconnected. The second person said there was a problem with my file, and they needed to ask for help, then I was disconnected. The third person said they no longer service our area, did not see any record of my buying the battery back-up pump, and had no idea how long they are under warranty. So I called my daughter, gave her their phone number and the address of the house directly behind me. She called and they gave her an appointment on Saturday. So they probably don't want to honor the back-up pump warranty and don't have the nerve to tell me the truth. I did call them back, talked to a manager, and they had no answer why they could not service my home. read more

I have a maintenance contract and 3 times in the last 2 years they have cancelled the visit the morning that it was scheduled. They stated that they will keep me posted. I have kids and seniors living in the house and meanwhile, I had to go out and purchase space heaters, which is running my electric bill sky high. He told her he had to break open the wall, fix the pipes, etc. So another plumbing service came for an estimate, for the SAME issue. He quoted her $250. WTF was worth $4000? Guess who she went with? Customer Service Make a service appointment for simi annual service for AC and heating on two HVAC units. We have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. We have scheduled service months in advance only to have the service time canceled in less then 30 minutes prior to the appointment with no reason. I'm not one to leave negative reviews as I'd much rather work with companies directly to resolve any issues. Unfortunately, Horizon Services leaves me no choice. I had no complaints with them prior to purchasing a new HVAC system and the actual installation of our new unit was smooth and issue free. Sadly, that is where my experience with Horizon turned sour. After sharing my story with friends and family, a trend became quite obvious. Horizon's goal is to sell you a new HVAC unit and that is all. They mention that routine servicing is important to the HVAC warranty, but fail to follow through on any scheduled service appointments. After three last-minute cancellations and another no-show on their part, I've opted to have the unit serviced by a competitor going forward. Horizon was quick to point the finger at their outsourced scheduling service, but each of my rescheduled appointments was made by calling the local Horizon office, bypassing this 3rd-party service. At this point in time, I cannot recommend Horizon Services. read more

For the second time in a row my tune up appt (both air conditioning in summer and heat in fall) have been rescheduled. We are "VIP" so we are supposed to get priority. We made the heat appt in August. They attempted to call my phone on Thursday prior to my Saturday appt and didn't even let me answer, only rang twice. I am so disgusted with this company. I have a tune up plan and every time I call in the spring and fall to make an appointment, they only have availability 3-4 months later. Today I called to make an appointment for the fall tune up and they gave me an appointment for December and this is not acceptable. How is it possible that the advertisements on TV guarantee to send technicians within 24 hours and when you call the reality is otherwise? Had a rude and arrogant salesman come to give a quote. He gave us the top highest price and when asked for options, he refuses to discuss. We took o ur a loan to pay for this heating system and had the money but refused to be subjected to giving this unprofessional pompous guy our money for services. He left and we decided to go with the company our bank referred. We are two days into have the service and the salesman even personally followed up to see how we are enjoying our new system. A follow up to my previous review - I was reached out to by the President of the company (or maybe a bot) asking me to get in touch with customer service. I did that. The conversation boiled down to I'm paying $17,000 for a good warranty; "most companies don't offer a warranty". The one thing gained was that the rep could see from the record that I needed an additional service and would I like to schedule it now? News to me - the last service tech (the third to address issues since the install) told us that he found the issue and that the next time we turned on the AC it would be working. It got colder outside after that so we weren't able to test it out. The customer service rep told me that the issue still needs to be fixed and that nothing was repaired because, according to the notes, it was raining too much. I scheduled service to be done Thursday (4/27) between 2-6pm. At 5:45pm I called to see if we would be expecting anyone to come out. Dispatch told me the technician is finishing a job in Pottstown (45 miles away) and then would be on his way. I told her that wasn't going to work since he would be arriving at 7pm or later. I understand there are extenuating circumstances but...could I get a call at least? I rescheduled for the following night 2-6pm. 6pm arrives and nobody ever came. To be honest I didn't even call after that. I received a call this week asking how my service was...told them nobody showed up...two days in a row. Rescheduled for yesterday - someone showed up! Appears as though they fixed the problem. The customer service rep I've been dealing with called to tell me that she was able to go to her higher ups and could offer me $250 dollars. I'm not going to say no to money, but the offer was so insulting that I could barely answer. She requested that I update my previous post so that the public would know that Horizon reached out to me. So, here you go. Horizon reached out to me. At this point, I think my request would be to have someone come out, rip the entire thing out of the ground and call it a day. Service was great first few years but now that I have an issue that is covered under the warranty it's impossible to get an answer. Wait times on the phone range up to nearly an hour. I have been waiting on a new blower since 12/27/2024 without anyone keeping me in the loop. I have called and get told "we cannot get Lennox to call us back". I don't even know what to say about that. My warranty is up in the fall and I was trying to decide if I should use Horizon for a service contract but I think the lack of customer service has made that decision. Poor from start to finish. Tech left our home to purchase a part from a local home improvement store and never returned. I called. Part had to be ordered, he will return in 3 days. Did they think to let customer know? They advertise same day service? 3 days later: Tech doesn't show in the 4 hour window they gave. No call, no text. I call. Tech is delayed at another job. Did they think to let customer know? "Customer Service" is argumentative. I requested call from manager, he argued he called me first, says he spoke to someone but didn't know if it was a male or female, and didn't know what the number was that he called. Tech finally shows, job takes 30 minutes. He says his tablet isn't working, cannot find the estimate they provided. End of the story? $550+. Sadly, this is the company that was founded many years ago by a veteran who proudly provided great, timely service or your visit was free (minus parts). I guess he's gone. read more

I was sold a service agreement during my last AC tune-up visit on 4/18/2024 which would cover my next two AC/Heating tune-ups. I was charged up front for the agreement. I scheduled my heating tune up on 5/10/24 for October 30,2024. I called the week before,10/24 to confirm the appointment and was told it was on schedule. I took time off to be home 12-4 pm as scheduled. I received a call on 10/29 late afternoon from Horizon which promptly disconnected when I answered it. Called back 3 times and was put on hold each time to be connected to dispatch. I was on hold for over an hour waiting to be connected. I finally got through only to be told my appointment was cancelled and it had to be re-scheduled for December. I wish I had never signed up for the service agreement. Once Horizon has your payment they don't give a s--t about you as a customer. Very disappointed. read more

I scheduled my heater tune-up in February of 2024 for October 1st, 2024. My Father passed away on October 1st, so naturally, I had to cancel. I spoke to customer service on the 1st and they were able to get it rescheduled for November 20th, 2024. That was today. We waited four hours, no one showed up. Called customer service and the claim they left a voicemail cancelling the appt. I did receive a mysterious call at 9:26PM on a Saturday night 11/16/24 (coincidentally the night of my father's remembrance celebration) but the message said "This is Horizon Heating services and I'm reaching out due to.....click!" (see attached screenshot) I assumed it was a wrong number. It seemed crazy that I would get a call that late at night, so I assumed called the wrong customer number. Now they say that was the cancellation. What!?!?? On the call I was transferred to "dispatch" to be on hold for over 30 minutes, then disconnected. I called back, (the CS person was very nice), I was transferred back to dispatch while the CS person waited on the call with me. No one picked up again. She messaged someone and was told, "Just schedule him for January 2025." Nothing else. That was unacceptable. She worked back and forth with whomever was on the...chat?...and was able to get me an appointment for 12/23/24. We'll see if this one happens. As of right now, an hour after making the appt., I have received no confirmation whatsoever. You can see from the other reviews here, things are going very wrong for this area of South Jersey lately with Horizon. We are VIP members and had Horizon install our new Heating/AC system. For the price we paid (same cost as a new car), the service should be better than this. I am going to call back repeatedly to confirm this appt. I don't trust that it went through.
