Easy to find, easy to park, great signage. I was here for the 2019 SYF Shrine Bowl. It was a BUSY day. There seemed to be plenty of parking for the event. Once we walked in the bathrooms were easily accessible. We were on the visiting side which did have a long walk around the far side of the field so not ideal. I'm not sure if it was just for that event to guide traffic in a desired way toward the food trucks on hand but it was at least a good way to get my steps in! I can see how it would be a long walk if Grandma was coming to a football game here. The announcer was easy to hear from all over the stadium which is AWESOME!

Get your stingers ready for the Hornets!!! 2nd time here for a family work event, which included tailgating before game and watching attending the game afterwards. They have a big following for the Hornets, get there right before the game begins for seats, otherwise they fill up fast. They have quite a bit of tents for business set up, doing give aways, selling the sac bee for a discount and get some hornet gear, free swag from local stores. They had the food trucks lined up, had a good amount here from bbq, Greek food, jamaican, starbucks truck, yup a starbucks mobile vehicle, dessert trucks too. Prices were lower than normal events I have been to, so that was cool gotta save the college students some money right!!! The bleachers are the standard butt hurt kind, so remember to bring something to sit on for comfort and if you accidentally drop stuff down there is a few sides that will let you down to the bleacher dungeon, be careful its dark, sticky and whatever else you can think of, so dont drop anything and you will be fine.

Haven #29 and Mollie #30. GO HORNETS!

Recently attended the Journey Final Frontier Tour 2026 here on 04/21/2026. There are plenty of parking garages around the area and parked just across the street at the Old Macy's garage so it was a short walk. I was graced by May A's company and it was sooo cool to hangout with her! We had great seats at section 108, row G. Great sound at this spot! This is apparently Journey's farewell tour and Journey was awesome!! I've seen Journey once before years ago with lead singer Arnel Pineda and still a great singer. We had an amazing, fun time!! Thanks again May! Will definitely be back at Golden 1 Center for another concert. And maybe a Kings game haha

The parking was $30 and you get to park decently close to the stadium. Bring a clear bag because they are very strict with their bag policy. The food was surprisingly good also. So this review is for the park as an MLB park, not minor affiliate... Visiting all the ball parks ( over 20 at this time), as well as several spring training games and minor league affiliate games... that said: *Poor-fair signing throughout the park to make it feel like an A's place-- I mean, I hate the Yankees but they totally transformed Steinbrenner Field last year ('25) to look like the Rays belonged there- complete with signs on every day, including janitorial closets!!! With the TB insignia *only one spot had ice cream helmets -- on the first base side-- which we discovered late into the game when we saw someone enjoying one by our third base side seats *standard minor league food choices--substandard majors..glad I ate before the game *fair fan interaction *why don't you list the player's positions? Not only on the lineups but also at bat? I knew nothing about the A's, so can't build a fan base if I don't know where they are on the field The good: *lots of grass seating: great for families *friendly team shop staff *tons of toilets in the ladies room- no wait *decent scoreboard and stats info across the stadium *fun baseball themed kid's playground as well as a mini field *Spent 5 days in Oakland back in 2019, so West Sacramento is definitely an upgrade for many reasons... *recognized the "beer guy" as the beer guy in our section at the Giants game the other day! Surrounding stadium area: Located at Heart Health Park in Cal Expo, the Sac Republic facility is a really nice spot. Outside of the field was almost a dozen food (pizza, Greek, Tacos, German, frozen treats, etc.) & drink trucks (beers, Margaritas, Agua Frescas, etc.) options. Stadium area: VIP seating to the South, Home field side to the West, Away side to the East, and the tall bleachers to the North. SRFC also has a really nice field. Overall: Good area, good assorted food & drinks options, good stadium.

It feels like a Band-Aid...probably because it is and has been for over a decade. The brand new venue, whenever it shows up https://www.republicstadium.com will hopefully be a good one. Sure, if you can't survive a couple hours without alcohol, you can splurge and sink some earnings in to a beverage and even scarf down some food for a premium. Passed on all that this time. This felt permanently temporary and with good reason- it is. It was exciting to stomp on the metal bleachers when that happened. It also felt like a high school rally where the kiddos would stomp and pout and make as much noise as they could. Found myself applauding because that seemed appropriate at the time but could not understand what seemed like trying to play an instrument with your feet on the metal bleacher. Parking seemed convenient enough. $15 for the evening with a back exit to split when the time came. It will cost more at the new place because this is left over space from a pretty much fallen California Exposition Center. They'll have to pave new lots. Yay. Bathrooms were porta-potties. Most of them were anyways. Yet another permanently temporary band-aid. Let's hope they don't take them out to the new stadium. Food venues looked like leftovers from the fair. Not about that. The "premium" spots gated and guarded by folks who want more money to sit down will hopefully get some real upgrades as opposed to the fancy net protecting them at this place. Had some dudes sing the National Anthem (ooh, anthem time baby!) and a brief half time display. Thanks Rachel, for the scarf. It seemed warm and the stadium was half in the sun upon arrival so shorts and a t-shirt were too much. Sun went down and it got a little chilly so the scarf-ish thing was welcome. "Bonney Field is not meant to be a permanent structure." This is the same place but with new name tags. The quote is from over 11 years ago. Out with the old, in with the new. Not entirely disappointed in going to this old setup (will most likely be the first and last time going here) and not bothered in the least that it's going away.
