A's vs. Detroit Tigers Sunday August 2, 2026. The temperature was 95° at the first pitch and predicted to get to 100°+. Seating at top tier disabled row with a 180° view. A tiny breeze flowed through providing the merest relief from the sweltering weather. Picked up today's freebies: a buildable Tower Bridge, an ice cream bar and a Spiderman comic book. Next, got ice and water to survive the heat. Tigers were ahead 4-0 at the top of the 6th inning. That's as long as we could bear the heat It was a fun time. I had such a great time coming here to watch the A's play. The atmosphere was electric, and it was the perfect place to spend the evening. Everything was clean and well organized, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. There were plenty of food and drink options, so there was something for everyone. It was great to get out to watch a live game. We finally got off our couch and went to a A's game. We bought tickets when they had their $8 sale for real seats, not just grass seating. This was such a good deal compared to regular pricing. Regular pricing is so hight, even if you buy it from the A's themselves. We couldn't afford to go to many games if we play regular price. This was our 2nd game this year. We went to one of the first ones for the season and it was very cold and we totally bundled up to watch the game. I wore my fluffy jacket and had my hood pulled up. That was a really fun game. I belive that won that game. We also got a picture with Stomper. It's a fun picture as we're all bundled up. If you know me you I know I love selfie shots. They had one this tiem. Soon as you walk in after you checked in, got your sway in the middle of the busy through fair staff were right there assisting you in capturing the moment. They had a picture frame specific for this specific game. The gals working the picture frame gave us the frame and offered to take our picture. It was perfect. We look so cute together showing off our A's T-Shirts. Happy Hour was a flop. Soon as we took our pic we hurried over to the beer garden and got in line. They cut off the happy hour pricing 4 people in-front of us. We wasted all that time in line when we could have gotten our seats and had the over priced beer brought to us in a cold can. We've learned our lesson. Getting inline early doesn't ensure you will make the happy hour pricing. You really need to get here when the gates open to ensure you get the deal. Sadly we only got here 30 minutes before the game. We thought we were early enough, but apparently not. They lost big time. The nationals got 34 and we only got 4. We lost by a landslide. It was a really disappointing game. People were leaving in droves as time when on. No Fireworks?! When they have the RiverCats games they have them every Friday and Saturday or least that's what we though. Thus we assumed they would have fireworks. Last night. Boy were we disappointed as we stayed till the end of the game just to see the fireworks. Next time we'll ask as staff member so we are prepared. Chilly- It was 90 when we arrived and got to 50/60 when we left. I'm glad we wore long pants and brought a sweater. I wasn't as cold as I could have been if I were unprepared, but I wished I had brought my hoodie to be a bit warmer. Bathrooms- Unlike when we went to the SF Giants last month there were plenty of stalls here and there wasn't a wait. I am thankful for their bathroom set up. It's a breeze going in and out. Food- I went to the official park's vendor, not an outsourced vendor. My husband sent me for a hotdog. They only had once size at this location. A Stomper dog was $14. We saw later that other people got a smaller size, he would have been happy with the smaller dog. The good news that this dog was big enough to share. Though he drowned it in mustard, relish, and catchup. They didn't offer onions so he didn't smother the dogs with that. This wasn't my choice of toppings, but I was hungry a little so I gad some. The beer/happy hours experience was a disappointment, them losing the game was a disappointment, it was chilly out, the hotdog was overpriced. Without that said we're glad we got out. We'll be back next week for. RiverCats game. Hopefully that one will be better. read more

This is my second time going to Sutter Health Park. My first time was to see an A's game and my second to see a Rivercats game. This ballpark is okay it's small and definitely not meant for major league games at all. There is absolutely no shade so expect to get cooked if it's a hot sunny day. There is plenty of parking at the ballpark. Or you can street park in downtown Sacramento or at the parking garages. Overall, it's just okay, but I'd come back periodically. read more

Love the stadium - not the heat- no shade and no misters - it was 92 today and people were dropping like flies. I saw at least 3 people being tended to by paramedics I went into one of the bars and they said you can't come here unless you have ticket - I was having a little trouble with the heat- I got some Gatorade and some cold waters and found a spot to sit in the shade - if this is commonplace I don't know - but unlearned a valuable lesson- no more day games for me - it was I we crowded and hard to move through - there was no real crowd control and people were standing several deep above the top of the seats to get out of the heat- this made it worse - even hotter - This was today- Father's Day and I got a Hawaiian shirt - good parking right outside an easy 5 minute walk to the car- I like park - but only night games for me now ...we also go charged for 3 meals and only had 2 - we found out late for we had no reception- we had to go back and deal with that too- I wish unpaid for it , I would have caught it sooner - our bad--- read more

Went here for the A's game on memorial day. The park is beautiful and I wish the A's stayed in the California instead of going to LV. The parking was $30 and you get to park decently close to the stadium. Bring a clear bag because they are very strict with their bag policy. The food was surprisingly good also. I got a Tower Bridge burger with fries for about $20. It was delicious for stadium food. The large dippin' dots came with an A's hat that my son loved. I enjoy coming here to the games. It reminds me of the good ol' days back at the Oakland Coliseum. read more

It's smaller than most ball parks and have a choice of lawn picnic type seating which is kinda kewl as a more inexpensive option. I have done my share of summer jam lawn seats but I'm too poor to purchase an actual seat yet still wanna go out to enjoy. I have never seen it at a ball park but I do really like it. The food at the ball park was a bit cheaper than regular stadium prices. I remember getting a beer at a regular stadium for 20 but got one here for 15 plus got a Budweiser hat for free to boot. I'm like scoreeee. We went on the 4th of July and the fireworks were just spectacular. It was just a really nice family outing. We will definitely comeback for sure. read more

Well I made 2 visits to Sutter Health Park this week to watch the Athletics play.One game vs the Texas Rangers and the good guys won 6-5 and on Friday night I visited the park to watch the Athletics take on the Chicago White Sox and the good guys got handled pretty easy 9-2. The game against Texas was Jackie Robinson Day across all major league parks,so all the players across the league wore #42 in honor of the late great Jackie Robinson.The Athletics had a great stadium giveaway on this day giving away green Athletic baseball hats featuring the number 42 on the front-I felt very lucky to get this giveaway because they only gave away a very limited amount of hats.The game was at 6:40p and gates opened up at 5:10-We got to the stadium at 5:15p-so we were able to get ourselves a hat. On Friday night,though we got blown out early and often,the highlight of the game was the Athletics were giving away reigning rookie of the year Nick Kurtz 1st bobblehead.The game started at 6:40p again so gates were opening at 5:10p.We anticipated a bigger crowd tonight as Nick Kurtz is one of the the most popular players on the A's roster.I arrived at the stadium around 430p and after parking in Old Sac,I found a very long line already forming-by the time the gates opened up the line was all the way to the Cabaldon Parkway.Luckily for us we were able to get our hands on our Nick Kurtz bobblehead and I couldn't be happier. So far this season the A's are 1-2 in games I attend-let's hope that changes soon as I have tickets to many more games this season and would hate for them to continue their losing ways. In closing this stadium continues to be a really fun venue to enjoy some MLB action as I plan to continue to enjoy as many games as I can this season and next before this team goes and plays in their new stadium in Las Vegas. Had a great time at the A's game recently!!! Sat in section 121 around row 12 for a 6pm game. Shaded and great spot to see all the fun. There was a lot of opportunities for the tshirt launches and the occasional foul ball as well as the players sending some over the net from time to time. I love Baseball. I love this park and I have been coming since day 1 when the Rivercats first opened here 26 years ago. I always have a good time at this park, and am taking full advantage of having MLB baseball in my backyard whenever I can. I dont find a bad seat in the park, from any regular seat down to bringing a vlabket and chilling on the grass in the outfield. Went to 2 games last week, both fan promotion giveaways. Security, ticket scanners and ushers are all fabulous, have never had any poor interactions with any of them, entry is usually smooth and quick. I took advantage of the various ticket deals the club sebt out so was avle to get a reasonable price for entry. During the summer months, it can get toasty so I usually grab tickets along the 3rd baseline since the setting sun will usually put tou in shade within short order after the game starts. Tgere are also plenty of trees in the lawn areas , otgerwise plan acxordibgly for sun exposure and warmth. The A's games include plenty of in between inning entertainment from tshirt and ball tosses, to video screen gane entertainment. As for on the field, A's bave plenty of exciting yojng hjttera and pitchers that are blossoming and fun to watch. Concessions lines arent that long, even on vusy nights, and provide the standard variety of options from beer, soda, burgers, hot dogs, sausages , all at comparavle if bot lower prices than some other parks I have been too. If you have little kids, lawn seats are the way to go! Bring a picnic blanket and find a spot on the lawn near the playground and you have the perfect evening activity. They're super kid friendly and have the big bobble heads and mascot walking around to greet kids. My only complaint is that the food stands close before the end of the game, so we found ourselves hungry with nothing to buy in sight! The fireworks show was actually really good, and at least 10-15 minutes long! read more

Been here a few times. Under different names, players, etc. and it's a decent venue. This time it was for Major League Baseball...at what was formerly Raley Field, a decidedly non MLB stadium. Well it's still not an MLB stadium but that's okay. Pretty exciting that we got to see an actual major league game here but it's Sacramento. minor league at best. Think of the movie Major League. Pretty much that but we (A's) still lost. Sunny skies today with some wind. Our tickets were for pretty decent seats although the place isn't huge so it's difficult to get truly bad seats. We were in the shade so what the heck, let's re-seat in the sun. Being a midweek day game, it wasn't difficult to get close to the game. Found myself just behind the visitors' dugout along the first base line for a peek. Stayed for a bit because why not. Probably should have looked over the entrance requirements here but we got stopped at the door because I said we had sandwiches in our clear bag. So instead of consuming those in the ballpark, we sat just outside and downed the goodies. So it isn't *just like* the coliseum. It's a bit less. With even fewer people. Transient population was on par with Oakland though, even during the day. But it was a chance to see major league baseball in Sacramento. Once they get going in Las Vegas, it's difficult to think that any team in the majors will return here. Surprise me. read more

Fun evening game with the A's battling the amazing LA Dodgers (goooo Dodgers!!). The park is organized well so both parking, entering the stadium and leaving were all fairly easy and hassle free. (We pre-paid for parking). I didn't eat any of the food or buy anything from the concession stands so I can't report on that piece, but all the workers were nice and friendly. I would definitely attend another game here, especially if and when the Dodgers return. read more

Today was the Giants vs Rivercats Exhibition game at Sutter Health Park. It was a packed house, and the crowd was great. We started the night at the Legacy Club pre-game for dinner. Today's menu was an arugula salad, grilled asparagus, mushroom risotto, roasted potatoes, piccata chicken and Tuscan steak. For the ballpark traditionals, they always have hot dogs, popcorn and cookies. Everything was great. The staff, headed by Kevin and Gary are the absolute best, with all the help keeping the buffet full, clean, and picking up plates from the tables as we finished our meal. The weather was perfect for the game, and we either had a great view from the Legacy balcony looking over from left field, or our seats behind home plate. What a crowd, and fun event. Can't wait til the Rivercats season officially starts on March 27th for their home opener. read more

It's wonderful to have the "Sacramento" A's play at Sutter Health even if it's temporary. The stadium is neatly manicured and nicely decorated with the teams signature colors and theme. There's a variety of ballpark treats offered, like sliders, hot dogs, ice cream and even a Catina with several Mexican food options. However they come at "arena" prices...the price points on food and alcohol are on the higher side so be prepared to pay. The restrooms are tidy and encompass several stalls to ensure short wait times during high volume moments. The parking cost was only $13 , which is a great deal. Although I haven't visited enough ballparks to genuinely compare, I think Sutter Health is nice! Might be smaller than other stadiums but the vibes were solid. read more

Visiting all the ball parks ( over 20 at this time), as well as several spring training games and minor league affiliate games... that said: *Poor-fair signing throughout the park to make it feel like an A's place-- I mean, I hate the Yankees but they totally transformed Steinbrenner Field last year ('25) to look like the Rays belonged there- complete with signs on every day, including janitorial closets!!! With the TB insignia *only one spot had ice cream helmets -- on the first base side-- which we discovered late into the game when we saw someone enjoying one by our third base side seats *standard minor league food choices--substandard majors..glad I ate before the game *fair fan interaction *why don't you list the player's positions? Not only on the lineups but also at bat? I knew nothing about the A's, so can't build a fan base if I don't know where they are on the field The good: *lots of grass seating: great for families *friendly team shop staff *tons of toilets in the ladies room- no wait *decent scoreboard and stats info across the stadium *fun baseball themed kid's playground as well as a mini field *Spent 5 days in Oakland back in 2019, so West Sacramento is definitely an upgrade for many reasons... *recognized the "beer guy" as the beer guy in our section at the Giants game the other day! This was my first time visiting the Sutter Health Park which is located in old sac where the Athletics Play and the home of the Sacramento Rivercats. It was a night game and it wasn't too hot which was nice. We got there a little late but their bag policy is very strict. Me and my friend had Uniqlo bags and they were too large, they measured and it was bigger than 5x8 so we had to use the lockers to put our bags in. At the end of the night we were having trouble opening it but they had staff there to help us. Since it's not a Major League Baseball stadium, it's like half of the size but every seat feels like you're up front in lower level. There are great concessions, we got drinks and carne asada nachos and fries. The lines for the bathroom aren't super long. Parking is close by and can get a little crowded getting out. Not too far off of the freeway. read more

First time at Sutter Park, we did a three day stretch Yankees vs A's and had an amazing time. Sacramento has some of the loveliest residents..we are so grateful! We enjoyed nachos, berry lemonade, hot dogs, there was a free ice cream giveaway and I got a really cool water A's hardhat water bottle, in partnership with Yolo Federal Credit Union. A visitor had a medical event nearby where we were and several of us sprang into immediate action and the parks medical team arrived out of thin air in seemingly less than two minutes. Sutter Health Park is the home of the Rivercats and temporary home of the Athletics. However it also hosts a lot of different events. Most recently I visited this place for the Shamrock'n half marathon and 5k. The facility is on the dated side and while they have updated it for MLB it is still very much a minor league park. It's good for local games but not sure how it compares to MLB quality. In regard to events like runs and winter events this is a nice large venue. Lots of parking and close proximity to downtown really help this location. Some cons is that there isn't very many good food options close and will take a bit of a walk. The on-site food is.....ok. Really a missed opportunity to highlight Sacramento food scene. Also while there is a lot of parking, the lot quality is not the best. Place could use a major renovation on the fan side. Despite this I think it's a good location for a lot of different evens. read more

I went to both a Riverboats game and an A's game here. The lawn seats are such a steal. Seeing the Yankees play in person for under $100 is hard to beat. Easy to get to from Downtown Sac. They have cocktail options if you aren't a beer drinker. Their chicken nuggets and fries are solid. read more

Great venue. Came here for an As/Cardinals game. We have tickets in Section 104 Row 2 - Tickets were well worth the price... Parking was easy. We also ate at the venue -- I just got a hot dog, fries and soda - $26 not surprising for a ball park - the food was okay. The only issue we had were people had major issues finding their seats - at the begining of the game people kept wanting to get autographs which was fine until people also wanted their seats -- we had people standing in front and on all sides of us which made it uncomfortable -- a security guard finally told them all there were no more autographs so go sit down.. but it was strange how those people thought it was okay to block others seats. Nearly 1 hour to exit the parking lot last night following the post game fireworks show! That is ridiculous! That is pathetic! The fact that this recognized problem persists still shows a genuine disregard to your patrons! There has been no apparent attempt to redesign and address the problem, to create an appropriate, effective, and efficient traffic system solution. This is not rocket science! And we are only talking about 12,500 people attending last night! It is not like there were 40-50 thousand for a standard typical major league ballpark. Come on Sacramento! Are you the bush leagues? Step up, get this right! I love my A's, but you can do better with making this venue work, even for this temporary period of time. This reflects upon you my A's and not just Sacramento. You have a season and a half to go until Vegas. Make the time you are here as pleasant as possible for all concerned. I don't plan to attend anymore home games unless you address your deficiencies. While in town for a training, how could I pass up $15 tickets to watch MLB?! It was my friend's first baseball game, and we had the BEST time! SHP is small, family friendly, experience-oriented, and a steal for the experience. They have thoughtful, fresh food (hello, jackfruit tacos!), a fun environment, and no bad seats that I could see! Sutter Health is a nice minor league ballpark. But as a major league venue for which we paid major league prices it was ...lacking. Background Attended a May weekday night game, Las Oaklamento vs. the Cards. Sat on first base side, I'd say the lower deck but Sutter Health has only one. St. Louis prevailed 6-4, fitting because their fans were far louder than those of the home team. Supposedly a nearly full house of 11,000 attended although there were a lot of empty seats. Stadium I mean, it's a AAA field, so you get what you get. Fans do sit close to the action and the weather is nice once the sun goes down and takes the heat with it (first base is the sun side, but not a problem after the first inning or two). There's a single scoreboard in right field, adequate. Other than that, amenities are quaint (limited) and intimate (limited). Food Basic ballpark fare available. One Yelp reviewer calls it "Aramark's finest" which makes me laugh. Hot dog was OK, just OK. What's Unusual Pretty much everything about seeing a regular season major league game in a minor league park. My wife first suggested we not go to a game here, but not sure when, if ever, we'll get around to seeing the team once it moves to Vegas. Then she said that I shouldn't do a review of Sutter. But look, the John Fisher Debacle* was not forced to Sacramento due to a natural disaster or other unforeseen concerns, this relocation was entirely self-inflicted. Summary Sacramento is a beautiful city, especially the areas surrounding the river, and the people we met were very welcoming. Nice MiLB stadium. Came to see the A's play, would have liked to see the River Cats aswell. Visited from out of town, stayed in Old Sac, very easy walk across the bridge to the stadium. Security was easy, didn't bother bringing any bags as they have a clear policy and wasn't sure my non clear bag was small enough. Was able to meet Stomper which was cool. Beer is typical MLB prices. My husband enjoyed his hotdog. I got carne asada fries which were terrible, the guac was partially frozen! Got chicken tenders too, other portion came out terrible but others looked better. Typical MiLB stadium. Liked the tiles done by local kids. Didn't care for the big casino advert above 3rd base side. 3rs base has views of the bridge. Great venue adjacent to Downtown Sac [West Sacramento CA] I've only attended two events in this venue as far as I could remember and both times were complimentary tickets given to me LoL! The first time was during an Elite Experience: Cirque Du Soleil's Alegria in July 2022. The familiar big top of Cirque du Soleil was visible to anyone driving by Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento. The other time was during a River Cats game against the Round Rock Express last month Sept 2025 as the season was coming to a close. Both events were fun as it was my first time watching a River Cats game. There wasn't a bad seat in the house but we actually had great seats... first row behind the Cats' dugout. When I received the tickets from work I was also told that one of our County Managers has a son playing in the line-up, #29, so it was cool watching him play. His mama must be proud. The experience was fun and exciting! The only challenging experience we had was looking for our car after the game LoL! We couldn't find it for the longest time. Sutter Health Park is a great place to watch minor league baseball! We love coming here when we need our baseball fix. The crowd is big but not so insane like a big stadium. The food options are pretty decent. We love how there's some affordable options like the kids hot dog. It's unfortunate that you can't bring outside food and drinks. There's no bad seat and seats are affordable. The general lawn area is great for kids to run around. Everything is pretty clean and well maintained. Sutter Health Park provides a great family experience for baseball fans. From the moment we entered the parking area we were greeted with a smile and given clear instructions for parking. Although handicapped parking spaces were sold out, they offered convenient shuttle pick up service directly at your parking spot. These shuttles were large golf carts that transport you right in front of the entrance ramp. I found this service exceptionally helpful for my mom and rest of our group. We were invited for a work event, so parking and tickets were free so not sure of the cost. They also provided catering in the event space near the east end of the park. Delicious BBQ ribs, chicken with Mac n Cheese and potato salad was served buffet style. Basic flavors, store bought potato salad but the Mac n Cheese was great. This event was very interactive, from singing to dancing and participating in the beach bowl toss and waves in the crowd as well as the shenanigans that the Mascot Digger the river cat and his friends get into. We had a wonderful time, don't forget to treat yourself with Dippin Dots or a cold beverage on these warm Sacramento evenings. I hope to come back with the family and kids again soon. read more

My first visit since the A's started playing. It was a really great experience with great food and easy entrance access. My group and I took an Uber and we're dropped off at a lot nearby. It was an easy and safe walk to the stadium. To enter the stadium for the A's, you have to have the MLB app and show the ticket via the app. Only small purses or clear bags are allowed. We were in a suite, and it was easy to find out way there. The view from the suite was perfect and the service was impeccable. The food was quite delicious too. We had a snack table of popcorn, pretzel mix and crudites with a feta dip. The main courses were hot dogs, sliders and wings. There was also a delicious ceaser salad. Nice ball park. Thanks to VetTix, I was able to enjoy an Oakland A's vs Toronto Blue Jays game on a hot summer's night. On my birthday actually! Beers and food pricey but it was to be expected. I was hoping for $13 beers but nope. $16. Smh!! Oh well. It's California for Pete's sake. I should've known. Parking was $30. Total rip off. But, I have to admit, I despise having to pay for parking, anywhere! Overall it was a fun night. Nice park. I'm just a little lighter in the wallet, that's all. I'd probably return but look for better priced parking.... I don't mind walking a little bit. And probably eating before I got to the park maybe having a little roadie in the car before the first pitch. read more

First impressions of the stadium was amazing. Going in I didn't expect much but the A's really make the small ballpark very immersive in the game. The workers our extremely nice and helpful. We are visiting and watching a game in all MLB stadiums. This is not a true MLB stadium but serving as an interim stadium before the A's move to Vegas. So it's important to note we came here as a "bonus" stadium so we can take the kids to all 3 stadiums the As played in. Anyways, we were 4th row next to the As dugout between them and home plate. The view was great, it's a much smaller stadium because it's used for AAA I believe. So that's a huge plus to have a smaller stadium, it's much easier to see. Coming in, if you go to guest services they'll give you a little certificate you visited which was a cool touch because she put the boys names on it. Food options were seriously lacking. The stadium overall wasn't super clean. The MASSIVE spiders we found by our seats were a huge turnoff. It was 100 degrees outside (actually not just hyperbole) which made it feel miserable for these San Diego natives! So that's on us, and there's minimal shade in any seats. We paid for the seats that included the Legacy Club. The air conditioning was the only thing that made it worth it. We were completely disappointed in the club itself. It wasn't that big considering the amount of people who had access to it. We attended a 1:15 game on a Sunday and they had a breakfast buffet. There were also hot dogs that were out and gross and I think mini pork sliders available. There was a small dessert station with mini macaroons, cookies and boxes of popcorn. There was a soda fountain and a fridge with waters. The waters were awesome! I love how the water bottles were green with the A's on them! Unless you want to go just to say you saw them play there, I wouldn't recommend going unless you're checking it off the list or are an A's fan. Oh and parking was cheap so that's was a plus!! read more
