Recently attended the Journey Final Frontier Tour 2026 here on 04/21/2026. There are plenty of parking garages around the area and parked just across the street at the Old Macy's garage so it was a short walk. I was graced by May A's company and it was sooo cool to hangout with her! We had great seats at section 108, row G. Great sound at this spot! This is apparently Journey's farewell tour and Journey was awesome!! I've seen Journey once before years ago with lead singer Arnel Pineda and still a great singer. We had an amazing, fun time!! Thanks again May! Will definitely be back at Golden 1 Center for another concert. And maybe a Kings game haha

The jumbotron is great. G1C really is one of the nicest arenas, so if you go early, it's a great idea to walk around both levels. There are a lot of local food/beverage options, aside from the regular concession stands (Do not get the nachos! The chips are terrible). Pro tip #2: Download the Kings ap and use it! Background Attended a May weekday night game, Las Oaklamento vs. the Cards. Sat on first base side, I'd say the lower deck but Sutter Health has only one. St. Louis prevailed 6-4, fitting because their fans were far louder than those of the home team. Supposedly a nearly full house of 11,000 attended although there were a lot of empty seats. Stadium I mean, it's a AAA field, so you get what you get. Fans do sit close to the action and the weather is nice once the sun goes down and takes the heat with it (first base is the sun side, but not a problem after the first inning or two). There's a single scoreboard in right field, adequate. Other than that, amenities are quaint (limited) and intimate (limited). Food Basic ballpark fare available. One Yelp reviewer calls it "Aramark's finest" which makes me laugh. Hot dog was OK, just OK. What's Unusual Pretty much everything about seeing a regular season major league game in a minor league park. My wife first suggested we not go to a game here, but not sure when, if ever, we'll get around to seeing the team once it moves to Vegas. Then she said that I shouldn't do a review of Sutter. But look, the John Fisher Debacle* was not forced to Sacramento due to a natural disaster or other unforeseen concerns, this relocation was entirely self-inflicted. Summary Sacramento is a beautiful city, especially the areas surrounding the river, and the people we met were very welcoming. It includes food and drinks. It's a cozy space to accommodate guests with a few screens to view the game if you haven't made it to your seats on time. They have a few buffets set up. Today, One has the main food, including grilled chicken, brussel sprouts and broccoli, fries, chicken strips and hot dogs, with servers. There were also hamburger sliders upon request, and they were served by staff. One bar was a charcuterie display, another dessert bar on top with salad bowls on the bottom. Another bar had dogs in a blanket with cheese sauce optional. It was great to experience, but pretty pricey if you don't drink. The game itself is always a lot of fun, but it wasn't a packed house while Kings only had 9 players available tonight. There was only one veteran player and the rest were the young/new players, so they were fun to watch. We did lose tonight. Only a few home games left.

Very grateful as both my boys took the time to spend the day! A little disappointed with the exhibits - which we all love to see- the one exhibit was more like an empty building with a few vendors selling.. The livestock building only had goats- might have went at the wrong time-.. My oldest son had a very good observation point- When we walked by the seals- they were blaring out music-and one can only imagine the seals enduring that for how many hours-.. Massive corn dogs were $19.99 - better than last year which was all dough- Cinnamon rolls with a new Tres leches variety!". Glad we made it down... and looking forward to another year..

They've had a lot of great promos this season, and I love that they have new, creative food options every season like the burger combo that's served in a Tower Bridge box (I still need to try this!). It's fun to see up-and-coming ballplayers grow their talent and occasionally a Giant will rehab with the team (the River Cats are the Triple-A team of the San Francisco Giants), which is always fun to see. Parking is only $15 and it's easy to get a spot in the lot close to the ballpark if you arrive early. Pro tip: look up their bag policy before you go to make your trip as smooth as possible! I think small purses and clear bags are okay off the top of my head. I always bring my tiny black purse with no issues. There are different promo days depending on the day of the week that offer discounts on ice cream, hot dogs, and drinks. My friend and I caught happy hour last month and appreciated the $3 discount on our beers and waters before first pitch. I'm looking forward to my next game. Thanks!

Another great night at the Sacramento River Cats Legacy club for tonight's game…read more Not much of a crowd in the stands tonight for a great night of baseball, but there was quite a bit in the legacy club enjoying tonight's menu. Besides the salad bar, the menu included barbecue chicken, smoked tri-tip, scallop potatoes, baked beans, broccolini,and rolls. Those shorthanded, Garry and Kevin did an outstanding job with the buffet. I love that they always keep it refilled and the counters and tables clean. It doesn't matter how busy it gets. They are always on their jobs and are so appreciated. The Rivercats had a special treat for us in the legacy. We were able to go down for Merlino's, and it was so good. Tonight we also picked up our Member gifts, which was a pennant, a pin, and a baseball. Another great thing is that the Rivercats won the game!

It is located on the northern part of the campus closer to J Street. Parking is pretty easy with a very large parking garage near the facility which includes abundant EV charging. The Nest is actually on the smaller side. They recently repainted the interior which makes it a little darker and feeling a little smaller than before. Seating is basic with bleachers and retractable chairs along the side court section. The nice part of this is that all seats are really close to the action. As you enter the Nest, there is a small concession stand selling nonalcoholic drinks and snacks. Tickets are sold online, but they also sell tickets at the game. Restrooms are small and old, but the crowds are usually small so it's not an issue on the mens side. Staff are great and helpful, even for the opposing team's fans. If you are like me and root for the other team, sit behind the visitors bench for the "Away" section. Come here for a great basketball game. The games are less than two hours and action packed. Sure, you could pay more and see professionals downtown. However, the Hornets Nest is a great way to see the action up close and is cheap enough for the whole family to enjoy.
