Clean and conveniently located store, with friendly employees, but the cactus and succulent plants weren't very well maintained.

Allow me to regale you with a tale of misery that can only be rivaled by an enema of broken glass. On 1/3/21 my wife and I were notified by our builder that it was time to order our appliances as the specs were required to finish building our cabinets. On 1/4/21 I begrudgingly joined my wife on a daylong hunt for the perfect matte black stainless steel appliances, after shopping around for a few hours we landed on a full set of Cafe (Refrigerator, range, dishwasher) and a GE washer and dryer at this particular Home Depot. We worked with a very friendly salesman (MDG1YY5) and he proceeded to build our very specific order in the system, as it often goes the system went down several times so he kept redoing the order (hoses, power cords, custom brushed bronze pulls, and all), no big deal "stuff happens". Due to the manufacturing delay of appliances in the COVID-19 era we wanted to get these ordered for a future date to ensure they were ready by the time we moved in. We selected a future date of 3/10/21 as that paired up with our expected timeline to move in, I expressed the potential issue of the home not being ready and was assured the warehouse could hold the appliances for as long as needed if that were the case, great. We finalized the details and checked out about $10,000 lighter and went on with our lives. As 3/10 approached we found ourselves behind schedule due to weather and material shortages (This is where our experience with Home Depot morphs into a Quentin Tarentino film). I contacted their third party delivery service and notified them that the house was not ready and I will need to push our date back up to 60 days. It was at this time I was notified that they would not hold a product for more than 30 days. I worked with our builder and he gave me permission to unload them all bunched together in the living room as the floor had just been completed. Appliances arrive on 4/10 (30 days exactly), as the gentlemen bring in items I compare their product ID to what is on my paperwork to ensure every single item is accounted for and correct. An important note here is no appliance is listed as "White GE Washing Machine" instead it is something like SKU 1005-128-482 and Description GFD65ESPNSN. Everything checked out and there the appliances sat until our final inspection (Only the dishwasher may be installed prior to this point). On 5/8 we were granted occupancy of our new home and cleared to begin moving in. The very fist thing we wanted to do was open and install these appliances we had been enamored with for the last 4 months. If you've ever received appliances in this method you will know that they come in massive reinforced boxes secured with metal banding and several inches of foam to ensure safe transport. Our first box was the dryer... It was champagne colored, not white. Next was the washer, same issue. Kitchen appliances were all the appropriate color and model so no issues, yet. We immediately contact Home Depot to notify them of the mistake, they refuse to do anything stating we approved of the items when they were delivered and its been over 30 days why hadn't we raised concern to this point? The following day my wife goes to the store and exhibits the patience of a Tibetan Monk and after a few hours convinces them to let us trailer these back to the store and send us the correct items. New delivery is then scheduled for 6/11, crisis averted we can survive a month without a washing machine. When you order handles that are not stock with the appliance they come separately so you end up with both colors. We go through and swap all of them out but the ones on the stove don't fit quite right, the handles are fine but all of the knobs seems off. After a few days of tinkering with it I dig through the box to see if there are instructions for this seemingly mindless task that I don't understand. The kit is for a gas stove... they ordered the wrong parts. A few hours on the phone later they get the new pulls ordered for us (It's 6/29 as of writing this and we still do not have them). I wish this was the end.... 6/11 finally arrives and with it our new washer and dryer! We slide the dryer in place, get it hooked up and test it out, perfect. Slide the washing machine into place, there is no outlet... Call our electrician and he says he will be out on 6/23 with the rest of our lights, no worries on our end just 2 more weeks. He comes out on that day and runs a new outlet. We set the dryer up and it immediately pops the GFI. Check the manual with the electrician and confirm everything is correct, it is. Run an extension cord to other outlets through the house, same issue. Bad ground in the machine maybe? Anyway, Home Depot told us to pound sand because its been over 48 hours since receipt. So now begins the tedious journey of working with the manufacturer. Spend the extra money and deal with a mom and pop shop, someone that has a face, reputation, and a soul. read more

I have a store credit over $150.00 in my wife's name, she is in the hospital and Home Depot REFUSES to honor the card even though I had my ID and we have the same address. NEVER AGAIN will I shop there after spending thousands in the last couple years. I will close my Home Depot credit card also. read more

I had to give it one star because that's the lowest you could give... they were rude in knowledgeable of their products and where they were located... when I asked to speak with a manager I was told Jordan was at lunch. I placed an online order for pavers, paved base and leveling sand on August 17 for delivery on August 21. The site said I would receive a call. The call never came,so I called on Thursday to verify. There was an "internet issue" and they would not be able to deliver until Aug 28. A Stone mason was coming from North Carolina on the 21st to do the project. The 28th was simply unacceptable. As a senior citizen who owns a Prius, this was not going to work. None of this made any difference to anyone in the online customer service. That order was then cancelled. I went online and found the Alpine store had all the product necessary and placed the order and renting a home depot truck. I soon received a call that the internet was incorrect and they did not have all the necessary product. I was upset and Jo called the other stores tobfind who had what I needed. So then I had to cancel the order AGAIN. Finally was able to order it at yet another Home Depot. It took 2 trips with the Home Depot truck and the Mason's small pick up. So many staff in the stores were so kind and helpful. Bruce, Jo, Michael and Norma. Never order online from Home Depot. Biggest mess ever. read more

It took a court order from City of Wyoming District Court to obtain a refund on a dishwasher that they failed to deliver, install or even bother to call to tell mevwhst was going on..they failed miserably...thankfully, Menards is less than a mile away from this disaster read more

I ordered two ryobi impact wrenches for my son and for myself. The site showed three in stock at the 54th street grand rapids location. I ordered them from the site and made the nearly 60 mile drive down to pick them up. To my surprise they didn't have any in stock and couldn't have them shipped to me or let me know when they would be in stock. The female at the pickup/customer service desk was a B*tch! I was calm and cool at first but once she said "you could have called before hand". And "you have a great evening sir" with a smug ass grin on her face. What a condescending little witch! The kid working the counter was polite and decent but that smart assed girl needs to not be any sort of customer service position. I asked if they had anything that was basically the same thing by ryobi because I have a lot of ryobi cordless tools and the one plus battery system works with them all. She basically said she had no idea. To end, they canceled my orders and I'll get a refund in 3-5 days per the paper I got. So, in at the end of the day I drove 120 miles, wasted gas that's still $3.50 a gallon. Not to mention over 2.5 hours of my time.. I will NEVER again go to a home depot. I'll stick with menards and Lowe's. Home Dumphole can suck it. I know one customer doesn't mean crap to them but I'll bad-mouth them any chance I get to all the folks I know. read more

I'm a big fan of Menards, but this Home Depot it starting to turn me to them. It seems that every staff member knows their product and knows it well. There is never lacking for seeing them around either. With a place so large its hard to find what you need, but there is always an associate to point you in the right direction. Their prices seem in line with other retailers of this type. read more

I only use them as a last resort. Their pricing is to high, Their appliance delivery system takes to long and you have to wait around all day for them to show up. Trying to find an item in their store is ridiculous. The veteran discount program is suppose to be corporate wide but varies between stores even in the Grand Rapids Michigan area. read more

Brought my son in to buy a Christmas tree on December 1st. The trees were buried under snow. The outdoor holiday section was unmanned. And the spirit of Christmas was lost. We were in the Wyoming, MI locations a few weeks back. We had no idea that you weren't allowed to bring dogs into the store. My son had his German Shepherd with him, so we brought her in with us. As we were walking through the store a manager came up to us and asked if she was a service dog. He responded no she was not and we were informed that she wasn't supposed to be in the store. It was store policy that dogs weren't allowed in the stores unless they were service dogs and that there was a note on the door stating that fact. When we left I looked and there was a notice stating that fact, but it was covered by the trash can. I have been in this location a few times since then and noticed that there is a bigger sign that says only service dogs were allowed. Two other occasions that I have been in the store I have noticed that people have small dogs in there and nothing was said to them. If there is in fact a policy that only service dogs are allowed in the store that should be for all dogs. If a dog is large or small it shouldn't matter if they aren't allowed in the store. read more

When my dad went back to the store to get a print out for the dimension measurement all of a sudden they couldn't "find it" on the computer but had no issue finding it when my dad was talking to them on the phone and then when my dad called them out on there lying they hang up the phone on him. horrible service bunch of lying thieves. read more

On Line Ordering The store is a wonderful place with great customer service. I go there enough that I look for my "go to" employees. This review is about their On-Line ordering. I am a property manager of 20 units. I have been ordering the same appliance for the units when i need to replace one. I went to my site and reviewed my previously orders. I copy and pasted the product number in the search bar. Product looked the same (finish, maker and the price was comparative.) I placed the order. Not realizing that it wasn't the product I wanted. Their site took me to a different product. Since I excepted the refrigerator because the tenant NEEDED it and I was told I had 48 hours after signing I could call and refuse the order. Now they tell me that it can not be returned because it is used now. HomeDepo.com Basically said the they would gladly place the order the correct one but that was it. They weren't even willing to give me a price break on the ice-maker. I am now looking for a different supplier for my appliances. read more

Im a licensed contractor in about the only good thing they provide is the contractor parking. Their selection is very horrible and I don't want to pay top dollar for something I don't need your better off going to the Habitat for Humanity although I do like Home Depot and I'm not downing them in any way they should update their selection. read more

The customer service here is lacking greatly. I rented a tool for one day. I rented it in the evening before a snowstorm and I didn't try to use it until I needed it the next day. There was a converter cord missing that they did not give me so I was unable to use the equipment. When calling, I spoke to assistant manager Aaron who rudely told me I had to pay for another day because it was my fault I didn't notice the mistake sooner. The manager Kristen was nicer, but wouldn't budge on acknowledging their mistake and instead putting the blame on me. I was shocked and appalled at this customer service. They offered a 50% discount for a further rental, but this was Home Depot's mistake that I had to take responsibility for. I was greatly disappointed with how I was treated and will not take my business here in the future. read more

Excellent Home Depot, my favorite in the area! This store seems slightly smaller than the 28th street store, but the smaller sizes makes it much easier to find things. The employees usually go above and beyond to help you find whatever you're looking for. Just a personal preference, but I've found the quality here (for the price) to be higher than Menards, and usually Lowes. read more
