If your ever find yourself in Prosser, WA. This is an amazing stop for great food in between wine tasting at the vineyards. Awesome decor starts the the revolvers as handles on the doors as you enter. Very friendly service and obviously a lot of locals eat here as well based on the 12 person table of modern day cowboys that were eating when we walked in. I got the beast burger that had wild boar, bison, waygu beef, and elk in the patty. Topped also with bacon and I chose pepperjack cheese and fried onions. Burger was great, fries were perfectly crispy. I had the soup of the day which was loaded potato, it didn't disappoint at all. Definitely be back. read more

Waitress was great. Listen to the advice. She gave us tasters before ordering beer. Beer is eghhh. Fiery burger- nada unless you just want hot. Raw jalepeno on burger with a fire roasted one on top. Cow boy burger solid. French fries done in Sam flier as fish and you can tell. Out of the ramen so had udon special which was ok but udon noodles are a little too much and chewy good flavor with veggies. read more

Me boyfriend and I drove river from Kennewick as part of this date book we're doing. I am so glad we did. The service was impeccable. The food?? Well we had the Big A$$ Pretzel, their famous bloody Mary's, I had the gunslinger burger (best burger I have had in a LONG time), he had the Beast burger and demolished it. The fries are perfect consistency of crunchy outside and soft insides. The vibe takes you back and feels like you are back in time at a western saloon. This was the last night of our four-night stay in the area, and we'd heard great things about The Saloon, so we looked forward to checking it out. The vibe and atmosphere are our kind of place, but sadly, they missed the mark this evening and turned out to be the most disappointing meal of our getaway. We're pretty chill, and we don't mind a little waiting, so when my margarita didn't arrive until halfway through my husband's beer, it wasn't a big deal. And when our server confessed that the kitchen had burned hubby's meatloaf and they had to remake it, we rolled with it. We get it -- mistakes happen. But when the food finally arrived, my ravioli was cold, and so were my husband's mashed potatoes. I suspect they sat, already plated, throughout the meatloaf do-over. We let our server know, and she did offer to take our plates back, but not wanting to wait further, we politely opted for boxes to reheat the food at our Airbnb. She brought containers, and we packed up and waited for the check. And waited. We watched our server chat with two men at the bar, serving no one in the mostly empty restaurant, our check the furthest thing from her mind. Finally, a different server saw us, cleared our plates, and brought us our bill. Our server reappeared and collected our credit card. I'll be honest, by the time she returned she'd lost part of her tip -- something we rarely do! Judging by the reviews both online and around the town, this place can, and usually does, do better, so it's unfortunate that we didn't get to experience them at their full potential. If we lived in the area, we'd likely give them another chance, but since home is 4.5 hours away, I'm not sure we'll get the opportunity to do so. read more

We ate and had beers at the Horse Heaven Saloon tonight and it was excellent! We started with a pretzel with beer cheese which was awesome. I had a whisky sour which was excellent. My husband and son love beer and the server gave them beer samples. They chose to have a pitcher of Taco Cat beer and really enjoyed it. The burgers and fries were the best we have ever had. My husband had the Beast Burger. The burger patty was the largest he has ever had and looked like it was 1/2 pound. He said it was the best tasting burger in recent memory. We love country music and the cowboy theme decor was on point, our server was very hospitable and the energy was perfect. Highly recommend this saloon for beer, mixed drinks and excellent food. Neat decor. We arrived or happy hour but they were out of their brewery's IPA which was $3.50 for HH. We had the guest tap IPA which was $5.50, it would have been nice to have the guest IPA for $3.50 since they were out of their own. But no offer for that. We had one round and left. The bartender, who was nice, did let us try samples of their other beers but we are solid IPA drinkers so we went with the guest tap. We did not eat, but it did smell great with some wings and something with plenty of garlic being server around us. We stopped at the brewery prior to heading to the saloon. Came here to celebrate Mother's day this year. They were great about taking a reservation and we were seated pretty quickly. We came for a breakfast/ brunch meal, but they have mostly sandwiches and burgers on the menu. Not a problem though, the server and the cook created a breakfast option that most of the party ordered. There were 10 of us. The food was good, but the highlight was the drinks. Someone ordered a bloody mary and it had bacon, olives, and enough little extras to be a complete meal. It was deliciously seasoned and flavorful. My mom ordered the mimosa flight which came with champagne and different types of juices. Orange, pineapple, cranberry and another one that I can't remember. She loved it and enjoyed creating her drinks. Would definitely come back to try some of the other menu items like the Ramen and the burgers. Great addition to the downtown area. read more

This place is great! My son, son in law and granddaughter had dinner here last week. It was hot outside and we were all hangrey. So we had high expectations. This place did not disappoint. The atmosphere was nice: god AC, quiet, clean and open. The servers were awesome and helpful. The beer selection is excellent and I enjoyed a local IPA. This is a great place and I look forward to returning. The owners are awesome, the staff is fantastic, and the food is outstanding. We managed to score overnight lodging there as well; the rooms are breathtakingly restored and the beds are exquisite. If I lived nearer to Horse Heaven Saloon, my blood would probably consist entirely of their cherry stout and I would have eaten so many hamburgers that I would weigh as much as one of the owner's horses. read more

The Saloon offers a truly unique dining experience in a small town it's a great Treasure. They have their own brewery yet still offer other local beers and ciders too. It's a hustling place at times but the staff work well together to deal with the surges. My Sweetheart and I typically split a meal because the helpings are not small. This place was recommended to us by some friends so we decided to try it out. We ordered the cheeseburger and the meatloaf sandwich. Both so good! My husband would order the meatloaf sandwich over and over again. Service was probably where it was lacking. Had to get up to ask for a box and for our check. We were looking for a lunch spot on our route from Spokane to Yakima. Noticed this place on Yelp. When I mentioned this place served fried gizzards, he said "we're going there!" Pulled in at 1pm on a Sunday and had no problem getting a booth. Our server was very nice. My husband had the gizzards with shoe string fries and said they were tender and delicious. I had the noodle bowl with the sweet chili on the side and added some smoked duck. So good! The noodles were great and there were tons of finely chopped veggies in the mix with a delicious sauce. This place has a nice vibe and we loved the themed murals on the walls. Hope to return again! read more

Very average, mediocre, will not go back. I had the Spicey Mikey burger and it wasn't spicy and did not have much flavor. I recently ate at Wooden City in downtown Tacoma and had the Fancy burger there. It was $17.50 the same as the non spicy flavor lacking Mikey burger. When you are in Prosser and you spend $17.50 on a burger and 10 fries it better be monumental. The menu at the restaurant had fewer options then online. I'm trying to be understanding with the strains that businesses were under during covid but dont try to make up all the lost revenue in a month. Also, no domestic beer? Really? This is the second time we've ordered in food from the Saloon while we are at the brewery. Both times have been equally great service. Don't get me started on how great their beer is!! We stopped by the Horse Heaven Saloon on Saturday after wine tasting. The atmosphere, food and the drinks were great. Crystal, the bartender, knew her mixology and it showed in the drinks. All of the dishes we ordered were delicious with beautiful presentation. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming with a western theme and so much fun. The service we received was friendly, fast and very professional. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to eat in downtown Prosser. We will definitely be back again! Loved this place! read more

Door handles folks. Their door handles are pretty cool. The food was pretty good too. I take that back, it was awesome. I had the Philly cheesesteak which came topped with beer cheese and had a side of au jus. It tasted amazing. The wait staff was friendly and fast, and swapped the TVs to the baseball game for us. Next time you're in P-town (that's Prosser to you city folk), tie your horse up to the hitch in front, and saddle up to the saloon. (Be sure to holster your Peacemaker!) Yup, Prosser now has a cool new saloon on "Main Street" thanks to the folks at Horse Heaven Hills Brewry. Prosser's downtown is quaint and cool, but neat businesses are few & far beetween--such a waste. (I do like the 6th Street Coffee Ship, and of course there is the Princess Theater) With Horse Heaven Saloon they have a new dining option downtown with a full bar, and of course they have some tasty beer options from their brewery. The storefront is impressive. They are definitely going for the old western saloon entrance, complete with pistols for handles on the big wooden entry doors. Inside there is a beautiful bar, and there is a big dining area decorated with cool murals of the area and horses, of course. I made it here with a friend a few days after their grand opening. We grabbed a spot at the nice dark-wooded bar. It's a nice view with a good looking shelf filled with bottles & brews. There's also a TV at one end of the bar, so you can catch the game. (oh, word to the wise, if it's freezing out, you don't want to sit next to the door: Brrrrrr!) The two people behind the bar were certainly welcoming and fun--even with the big crowd they were dealing with. The guy was fast-talking and fun, and the bartender was also nice (I heard she's the tallest woman this side of the Mississippi). I asked for a sampler (something I always do when at a brewery), but they weren't having it. They don't do samplers at the saloon---I hope this decision is overturned. Nonetheless, I went with their Dark Cherry Stout & this was a wise choice. But be warned you can definitely smell/taste the cherry (& I liked that!). My friend ordered a Lemon Drop martini; I had a sip and I approved. For dinner they have a limited menu, but there are some unique options. The two which caught my eye were the bison soup & venison sausage meals. I opted for the latter and my friend went with the soup (I made sure to have a sip). These meals were presented well and they were definitely tasty. I wish I could taste the deer more---l actually love the gamey taste of venison. Next time I'll be sure to try their burger. All in all, I like. I do like the town of Prosser and I'm glad a nice dining option like this is downtown. You can't go wrong with the brews and the food menu is definitely something worth a multiple trip exploration. read more
