Best wings I have had in a long time. Ordered a 20pc with Cry Baby Dry Rub on 1/2 and Extreme Hot plus Cry Baby Dry Rob on the other half. AWESOME! Washed it down with a West German Pilsner! The pizza is awful, we had the $26 combo it was so much worse than a frozen pizza. Barely any sauce or toppings, when we told the waiter what we thought she gave us $2.60 off. Service was good, beer was good, usually chicken wings are good which is what I should have stuck to. My friend had the fish she said it was good but the French fries were like 1/4 in long and soggy, very hard to dip in sauce. read more

From out of town and I'm here roughly twice a year and always try and make it here. The atmosphere is family oriented, the service extremely attentive and kind and the food is upscale bar food. The pizza is very good, the wings out of this world perfect and the prime rib on Fridays is worth the trip from Montana and there's good prime rib in Montana. We will be back. read more

I moved to Benton city a couple months ago, I've been to palm a few times over the years on motorcycle trips. But since I've moved here I've been in at least a dozen times. This place sucks! Sun pat food, at least it's relatively cheap. Pizza is basically cardboard unless you order extra sauce. But I could live with that, the real killer is service. Wow some of the slowest service I've ever seen. Normally only one waitress/bartender to serve entire restaurant. And they don't really seem to care. If I'm with someone who wants to stop and eat there maybe, but I'll never choose to patronize this place again. read more

Eaten there many times under the new owners now. The quality of everything is really gone up. I've watched them continually work to improve the entire business in every aspect. Yes, I'm a BC resident. The place does get packed on certain evenings so get there early. It gets packed BECAUSE the food, service and $ is great. They have a new menu as of April 1,'23 and an ungodly amount of ever-changing craft beers on tap if that's your thing. There's also a big selection of whiskeys of every kind & price. Unknown about the 1 star reviews. We've had their pizza's several times and they were great. If the pizza was as bad as stated, then the customer should have said something instead of whining about it here because I can guarantee the business would have corrected it if there really was an issue. Same goes for their Prime Rib sandwiches. We've NEVER had to ask for au jus, it was always with the sandwich. If it was accidentally left off the order, then ask for it. Jeez.. As far as staffing goes, they've hired a LOT of people. I believe the business is the 2nd or 3rd largest employer in the city. Sometimes staff is not able to make it to work. Blaming short-staffing on the business is hogwash. The help in the kitchen and the bar bust their rear-ends to keep up and sometimes the business is overwhelmed during shift changes and large groups dropping in at once. Just a fact of life. And FWIW, I have NO VESTED interest in the business other than supporting it and some other local businesses. read more

Not good does not do this experience justice. I have tried this place twice. Once I got the pizza...how do you make pizza inedible? They figured out away. Next I tried the prime rib dip. Well you actually have to ask for au jus if you don't request it you will just have a dry old plain roast beef sandwich..its terrible. I am from out of town. Was in there last Friday night. It's a fun clean place to go. I met Kelsey one of the owners she Awesome. She was going around to tables to tell everyone abouti karaoke. The gal that runs it didnt make it in. Never minded she made up for it with her fun happy attitude. Really impressed she made us 10 people from out of town feel very comfortable and she made sure we were taken care of. She even got a guy there to get up and play his guitar and sing. I live in Yakima and asked her if I moved to Benton City if she would give me a job. She said yes and I don't know if she meant it but I hope so. The new ownership made the place a bit nicer. They don't hire enough staff, and it is hard to get served in a timely manner as a result. If it's a busy night, forget about it. The food is meh, and overpriced considering the poor service. The servers are fine, they are doing their best. There just aren't enough of them. read more

This is where I had Thanksgiving Dinner. Ok, ok, no tears, I had a decent time here! The Palm is a dive bar right on main street BC. I wasn't sure if they had food, so I asked (it was a long shot, since most things were closed on this snowy Thanksgiving evening). The barkeep was going to make me a sandwich, but then she said the owner had made some more hardy food (only for a donation). I went with a chicken fettucinni meal, and Mac & Jack. Now it looks like this little joint might be hopping on the weekends (there's a few pool tables, juke box, and a large dancefloor). Woulda been nice if they had more on tap (and more microbrews). Ive only been there once- that was enough for me. Its supposed to be a family setting on one side, Not really. My friend and i went there to eat prime rib. We waited 30 - 45 minutes just to have them bring a menu. It wasnt full, maybe half the tables had anyone at them. If the people came and sat at the bar or orderd drinks they got served first. When we finally did get a person to take our order we had to wait another 20 minutes just for water. After being there for over an hour we finally got our food- It was cold. Okay...THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE IN BENTON CITY TO GET A DECENT DRINK. I've been in and out of this place several times and had a decent time. Staff is always friendly and all have heavy hands when pouring drinks. Just bar food with nothing to get excited about. They also have a super huge digital juke box with an impressive display of tunes. Bar is full good people with occasional creepers....but what bar isn't? It was closed for a while and reopened mid summer 2014 after remodeling. It actually looks a hell of a lot better. I think it has new owners and new management. Cheap drinks, good times. When I heard the palm was hosting a Kieth Anderson concert, I was excited such big talent was coming to a small town. I purchased 2 VIP tickets ($50 each) for the event. When I arrived, I was not able to sit in the designated VIP seating area because the bar staff couldn't control the VIP section and it became over run with people that purchased general tickets. I ended up finding 2 seats in the very back for my husband and I. As if that wasn't frustrating enough, the owner was drunk and behaving inappropriately, there was only 4 people working so I waited FOREVER for my drinks. After the show, I was in line waiting to buy a CD and the owner was demanding a free shirt from Kieth and an agent. Unprofessionalism at its finest and I will NOT be back for ANY future shows no matter how big they are. read more

Came for the wings which are normally good. Haven't tasted wings yet since service is so bad. Beer flat I think due to soapy glasses. It arrived with a head in the pitcher... But once in the glass...yech. Waited for wings about 40 minutes and the Hot Wings arrived. Ordered 7 and 9 out of 11 hot scale. Um...a 12 year old could eat these. Not hot at all. Sad. Very disappointed. Horrible service, bad attitudes and bad overall vibe. I like small town but small doesn't mean its ok to be trashy with attitude. They were extremely bad with a recent concert. Ticket purchasers had to compete for space with the regular non ticketed customers. The concert was sold out but they stayed with minimum staffing apparently they can post their sold out status but not plan for it. Not once did a server approach my table for service. Not one time did I get served anything or even asked during the entire show; which started late because they weren't ready for this sold out show by a big name performer. Unreal! There were plenty of others being served to the point of obnoxious drunks trying to talk louder than the performer could sing. The trick for getting service there, fetch it yourself in line at the bar with the same minimal staffing. There will not be a second visit to the Palm especially for a concert, they can't handle it and I paid for good seating. What a joke. read more

Went on prime rib friday with my family. We called and were told to make it at 6 or they would be sold out. Its a little early for dinner, but we made it there at 6. The place was half empty. After walking around a bit, we finally found a clean table. 15 minutes later, a waitress took our order. 3 prime rib dinners, plate of fries for appetizer, 2 beers, and 1 soda. 30 minutes later we received our drinks. Another30 minutes after that, now we are at an hour, we received our appetizer and meals together. Surprisingly the food was good and hot. We ordered two more beers,and were told they did not have any more clean glasses. It's plastic cup time and they were the same price, but half the size. Now around 8pm, the place is starting to get busy, drunks falling all over the place, waitresses no where to be found, and when you do find one they are rude. It took them over 20 min to run my card. Definitely will not be back, or recommend anyone to go. read more
