No prices on most things. Some look like they just dumped the pick up on a tarp. Lots of stuff. No antique furniture or anything like that, maybe a piece once in a while but pretty beat up. I found a couple of cool things. The farmers market was completely impressive. Fantastic fresh produce!! Some cool shops but just not what I was looking for and not the place to sell nice antiques, crystal, mid century modern-it's a fun place but not the market I had hoped for. Daily admission applies per person, I think it was $3 on Saturday. Huge parking lot to park. This place has a small carnival as well. My mom wanted to find luggage but time was not on our side, nor was the weather. We went later in the afternoon, they closed at 5pm. Many vendors already closed shop, plus the weather was near 100 degrees. We walked around to see what they have, we purchased some fruits and left. My cousin recommended getting the sausage on a stick, but all of the food vendors were closed.

I love getting a coffee and strolling along the different vendors. Everyone is friendly and happy to be there. Last time I picked up a few items and it would be a fantastic place to shop for home for home decor, vintage clothes. olive oil, gifts and more. In addition to vintage glassware, this is a treasure trove for retro kitchenwares (salt and pepper shakers, etc) and midcentury furniture. Even the outside of the shop is super rad, with bright red walls and a Mona Lisa sign. You can't miss it! Prices are a little higher than what you'd see at a Flea Market, but the shop is so well curated that I usually think they're worth it. The owner and her brother are super cool too, which makes it even more fun to support. Tip: If they shop is closed, try their sister shop, Arts District Antiques, across the street. The owners are usually in there and will open Garage Vintage for you.

It seems like one of those great neighbourhoods that has remained mostly untouched (uncorrupted). My favourite store in The Highlands is Wordshop. I haven't had a chance to hangout there as much as I would like to but each time I stop by Wordshop I check out a new shop like Ruby Jane, a super cool clothing store, that I resisted the urge to buy anything on this trip. (Trying to pack which means no more things but just for the moment.) The streets are original and therefore quite narrow so be sure to slow down and be courteous. Also, parking is a bit of a bear if you can I would Uber over to avoid the hassle. Go. Spend some money. Keep The Highlands thriving!
