In addition, I wanted it to look attractive throughout the year. After doing considerable research, I found Landscape Connection and called them. Within a very short time, I was put in touch with Hailey Bruchner who came to my house and talked to my wife and me about what we wanted and contributed some ideas of her own. I was so impressed with her, I lost no time in hiring her company. Soon after that Hailey presented us with a detailed design that included everything we wanted and more. Once we decided to move forward, Hailey met me at Jensen Sales where together we selected rocks. I enjoy looking at rocks and I can appreciate their individual and unique beauty. As we looked at what was available, I could see that Hailey loves rocks too and has a superb eye when evaluating them. In fact, her discerning eye was applied to every aspect of the project, and not only is she talented, knowledgeable and experienced, she is professional, warm and a pleasure to work with. From beginning to completion, I could not be happier with all that Hailey and her team at Landscape Connection have done for me.

They came out that weekend to give me a free quote, and I felt very comfortable with them. While I was a bit hesitant to do such a big job with a company with few reviews, I selected them based on my like for both Jose and Vera, their very fair quote, and their clear expertise when it comes to landscaping. So, what did I have done? I had the entire front and back yard xeriscaped (see before and after pics I uploaded). They really had their work cut out for them! The yard was a mess with dandelions and a plethora of other weeds, and had really been ripped up thanks to cutting down a few sumacs over the years (and, to be honest, my general disdain for lawn maintenance). No problem for Jazmine's - in just a day and a half they got everything dug out, laid weed cover (the good stuff), planted three trees, and put down all the rock. They were very patient with me in choosing the trees and the rock, and took an immense amount of pride in their work. Jose even came back the next day and added a little mulch around the new trees - I guess what they'd put down the day before wasn't quite up to his standards (even though it certainly met mine!). The whole crew were a delight to have around! Everyone was friendly and professional, working quickly and cleaning up after themselves. I'm guessing some of you have also been hesitant to book Jazmine's for big projects since they're new to Yelp, but I can vouch for them and their work 100%

After it was taken over by weeds and dug up by our schnauzer a few too many times, it was time to do it right. Cody came out for an estimate and design consultation. He is such a great guy who explains how it all works, gives you a reasonable number of options (helpful for me to not have information overload), and gets things moving. And for the work itself, these guys work hard and nonstop when the job begins. They show up on time and work full speed from morning until evening to get the job done. They build the patios in ways that work for Colorado weather, and they actually specialize in pavers, instead of a landscape company that doesn't do these types of patios nonstop. Paver patios are not cheap, but they're also not something you should do on your own unless you absolutely know what you're doing. If you're looking at redoing your outdoor space or patio, you should absolutely give these guys a look.

Our assigned project manager, Jeremy, was friendly and very professional, had insurance and license info ready at hand when asked, produced a reasonable quote, and did great follow up. The work crew, Freddy and Rigo, were absolutely fabulous.... Neatly and properly dressed, super courtesy while quietly working with the least amount of noise possible, never yelling or blasting music or slamming things around, and they were industrious throughout the day despite the 100 degree heat. These guys were very respectful of the property, demonstrated attention to detail in their work: measuring twice, using levels to make the wall perfect, were careful when moving equipment and product, and when using tools/machinery. They also cleaned up the job site... cleaner than when they first arrived! They didn't damage any plants, and left not a trace of their presence. With other companies and contractors, I have found water bottle caps, candy wrappers, cigarette butts, trampled flowers, bark kicked out on sidewalks, manufacturer stickers/labels laying around from products used or installed, nails or stains left on various surfaces; but this crew of Little Guy Pavers was just the opposite, and just excellent! They removed our existing grass, replaced it with weed barrier, decorative stones and several native plants, and set up a drip irrigation system. This was a fairly significant landscaping job that they completed in about one week. We were so pleased with how it came out and several weeks out, maintenance has been very minimal with only some minor weeding needed. We received great service at an affordable price and would absolutely work with them again.

Having just completed a significant backyard project with Mile High I simply CANNOT recommend this…read morecompany. We have done numerous house projects with other companies and Mile High is by far the worst of any we've ever worked with. It's not even close. The issues we experienced are too many to count. Our Landscape Architect and Project Manager had a falling out with the owners and walked off the job on Day 1, setting everything back. The owners assumed project management and were clueless about the project and so much was lost in transition. It resulted in tons of issues, missed handoffs, cost escalations, delays, and frustrations for us as the customer. The owners are not serious, professional people and they do not have a customer focus. They don't own their work and will not be accountable for results. They will tell you they will provide updates and will then go dark. We had a big party at our house and before the project started, we said it had to be done in time for the event, and we were told "no problem at all" as the project would only be 4-6 weeks, and of course it took more than 8 weeks and our backyard was a mess for the event. They'll tell you anything to initiate a project and ensure that all bills are paid on time, but are extremely unreliable when it comes to delivering. It is extremely frustrating to work with this company and you, as the customer, will have to constantly stay on top of them and the work. You'll find yourself asking why are you even paying them (especially paying a premium)! Heed this advice and do not work with Mile High Landscaping. You will be sorry if you do.

They were doing some work on a neighbor's property when one of their trucks accidentally backed into my car. The owner appeared immediately and we exchanged information. I told him I'd take the car to a body shop for an estimate and get back to him. Unfortunately, the estimate was for about $4,000 and the blue book value of my car is less than $2,000. It's an older car, but has been in the family since it left the dealer's lot and has been well cared for. I wouldn't drive it across the country, but it's reliable and perfect for local trips and irreplaceable at that price. I let the owner know...he thought about it for a moment and said "we have a garage we use for our vehicles. Take it there and they'll fix it for you on me." The next day we dropped off the car at a shop in Denver. No paper work, just a handshake. Have to admit I was a little uneasy about what to expect. But what do you know- about a week later my car is back in front of my house! Looked fine to me and I had my usual mechanic check out the work. Two thumbs up. So the moral of the story- I haven't had any landscaping done by A Sharper Image Landscaping. But I am certain that if I do, I can trust that they will treat me well and do the job right. It's great to know that there are still companies like this around.
