BEST SANDWICHES IN BAY RIDGE! Always going on my lunch break so fresh and TASTY This is my go-to, they're quick and efficient and nice!

Egg everything cream cheese and lox

This is the bagel you want. Their prices are fair for what you get. I got an egg everything with cream cheese and lox and it was pretty good. Definitely going to be a local spot for me now.

Bacon, egg and cheese on an onion bagel with a medium coffee

I tried this place for the first time today. I am on the search for the best bagels in my neighborhood and I would go back to this one. What makes a good bagel to me is soft/fresh bagels and a healthy amount of cream cheese. Here are my opinions and suggestions... Food: I got a bacon, egg and cheese on an onion bagel. The bagel was soft, the bacon wasn't overcooked/burnt, would recommend. Second bagel was an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and tomato. Everything Bagel was clearly old. It was overbaked, hard, and it was difficult to bite and pull apart. The veggie cream cheese was ok, but nothing special. Third bagel I got was another onion bagel with plain cream cheese and tomato. This was the shining star in my opinion, there was a decent amount of cream cheese and it was so creamy, rich, and the perfect amount of sour/salty. It really complimented the bagel well. The bagel itself was soft and fresh. My recommendation: ask which bagel was just made and order that, because when they are fresh, they are excellent and skip the fancy cream cheese and just get plain. I ordered two coffees with milk and sugar ad both were excellently made, coffee was fresh, not burnt and perfect mix of milk and sugar. Price: the 3 bagels mentioned above, plus two medium coffees, came to $19.87. Seems about average for the area. Service: staff were super friendly, and helpful. They didn't have any signage for what types of cream cheese they had but the staffer helping me pointed to each and listed them off.

Egg whites and vegetables omelet outstanding!!

Let me just start this out by saying I am a lox fiend. I have a thing about lox-to-cream cheese…read moreratios. Bagel Boy does their toppings *the right way*. If you're like me and you want a standard lox bagel sandwich with all the fixings (tomato, capers, onion, cream cheese), this is the right place to go. When I casually mention how much I love Bagel Boy, Bagel heads may scoff that they are not "hand rolled" bagels like at H+L (oh heaven forfend!) but, respectfully, the bagels are made fresh on site, perfectly tasty, and, to be quite honest, I couldn't care less about the actual bagel--which, to be clear, is also delicious! What I DO care about is that their lox is buttery, smooth, and not too salty. I don't have any other order but the one I specified above. It's huge and you get a lot of sandwich for about $12.50. As for the bagel, I tend to go for an onion or an everything. This is my Bay Ridge Bagel verdict: spare yourself the headache of subpar lox and have the ideal bagel sandwich experience at Bagel Boy.

Bagel Boy at 8002 3rd Avenue is nothing short of a bagel‑centric marvel--an establishment that…read moresomehow manages to defy the laws of texture and physics simultaneously. Their bagels are puffy and fluffy, yet dense, chewy, and satisfyingly weighty, as though engineered by a team of carbohydrate physicists determined to perfect the Platonic ideal of a bagel. The Egg‑Everything bagel, in particular, should come with a disclaimer: "May induce sudden optimism." One bite and your entire day recalibrates itself toward hope, productivity, and the general belief that life, in fact, is good. The flavor selection borders on encyclopedic, and the cream cheese options feel infinite enough to require a tasting syllabus. Their sandwiches--excuse me, sammiches--are inventive, clever, and genuinely delicious, the kind of creations that make you briefly consider writing a thank‑you note to the chef. In short: Bagel Boy is a neighborhood treasure. Go once, and you'll understand. Go twice, and you'll start rearranging your morning routine around it. Disappointment simply isn't on the menu.

Initially I was hesitant to offer up a Yelp for a place that I was not having the main offering at…read morebut I changed my mind and here we are. The Bagel Pub is a quaint corner bagel spot in Sunset Park and while I've known about it for some time, its not the most convenient for me since I live in Bay Ridge and there are plenty of bagel stores for me to choose from on any given day. This past Sunday however, I took a ride with my friend to the also nearby Costco as she and her family needed some things and while we were planning on the Dunkin Donuts that is right there, she wanted one of the tasty muffins from Bagel Pub. Once inside I viewed the cozy space which was mostly a food preparation area with a small corridor for the customers to line up and get their goodies. The bagels looked great but my own mindset was fixated on the DD "Meal Deal" today but my friend did get their muffin but nothing else. I didn't see any area where the customer can go and sit but from the outside there seemed to be an adjacent area that looks like its unused at this time. The COVID times changes a lot of places mode of operation and sometimes what used to be open isn't anymore but I digress. My friend and I did end up in Dunkin and she shared half of her poppy seed muffin so I can say that its super tasty and filling. I just wish that I had thought of taking a photo before it was in devour mode. This does seem to be a popular spot if you are a nearby neighbor but for me its on the distant side and I felt that it might be a little pricier than some of the places that I already go. Had we not been going to Costco I wouldn't have even been at this particular Dunkin Donuts. Maybe next time that this is the mission I will try something more substantial and update this Yelp.

I had a craving for a whole wheat bagel with avocado, egg whites and mozzarella. The bagel arrived and it was scrumptious: toasted, fresh avocado, egg whites cooked perfectly and melted mozzarella that truly melted in my mouth. I ordered a side of roasted potatoes to accompany it. I did have a choice of home fries or French fries but wanted to try roasted potatoes. Now.. how did I wash it down? Glad you asked!
