Bacon egg & cheese on everything bagel
    Stephanie V.

I came here multiple mornings for breakfast during my recent trip to NYC. I'm from GA, so the bagels there stink & I was extremely excited for some better ones. Park bagels didn't disappoint! They don't have a huge selection of flavors, but the quality of the ones they have was really great. I got a few different things & would eat all of them again. The staff was also super friendly & fast. Sometimes it was busy, but even then they worked quickly & we didn't have to wait long. I got an onion bagel toasted with cream cheese, an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese & a bacon egg & cheese on an everything bagel. All 3 were delicious. They put the perfect amount of cream cheese on them & the BEC was huge & juicy. The staff even asked if I wanted my eggs salted & peppered or wanted anything like hot sauce on it. Overall, I would come back & make this a daily thing because I really enjoyed the experience overall. They also aren't very expensive & the service was so good I'd go back just for the friendliness. They offer various coffees & even make fresh made to order orange juice. Worth a stop for sure!

Extremely nice people and yummy, fresh bagels and sandwiches. Mediocre coffee, but you can't have everything. On the whole, a great local when you're in Dyker Beach Park.

    Fresh bagels all day!

Opened 24/7 Fresh bagel baked on premises; you can see a lot of stores ordering their bagels. Family-owned. Delicious, affordable bagels wouldn't go anywhere else!! Definitely one of the best bagel shops. At first, some aggressive competition from other bagel shops. However, people who work in other bagel stores seem to move around, and Park bagels were able to capture the best employee talent. One of the best staff and bagel cooks in the business.

I've been coming here for years. The scallion cream cheese is really unbeatable. I will crave this particular scallion cream cheese every week. The bagels are fresh, sometimes they'll throw you a stale bagel but which bagel spot doesn't ? My issue with this spot is the amount of cream cheese they put on the bagel. My husband and I had to purchase half a pound of cream cheese on the side because there was cream cheese only on half of the bagel. We were eating breakfast today and most of our bites was of strictly bread. Annoying considering I'm paying $4, give me what you're charging me for. Cream cheese fresh and delicious Bagels are a hit or miss ( you can ask to wait for the fresh batch) The worst iced coffee in creation. Dunkin is even better.

Very little flavored cream cheese. Disappointing.

I was there for the first time for a bagel. Staff was attentive and service was quick. The bagel was pretty standard nothing special but the amount of flavored cream cheese was absurdly little for the extra cost. The littlest i have had from a bagel store. I'm disappointed. Well, i won't be going back.

Toasted scooped sesame, PTSLT! (Pepper turkey, Swiss, lettuce, tomato) Mayo for a little extra lovin. Deliciousness

As far as the customer service goes I wish it was a bit better. The staff aren't the most pleasant. No good morning no acknowledgement of comprehending what you order they just walk away and start the order. Which is why I double check always. I do notice they speak more pleasantly to other customers that come in. Not sure if it's a culture thing or could they be discriminatory but it's a bit unsettling. Food: 3.8/5 I only order the poppy seed bagel and that's pretty tasty. Not to doughy although I do have them take out a good portion of the bread because I like it to be extremely thin. Service: 3 /5 Service needs major improvements , language barriers are also a major factor to consider as they do speak Spanish and their primary language. Ambiance: 3/5 Standard & basic bagel shop set up. Standing & waiting area is basic they have counter tops should you want to stand inside and eat nothing fancy. They do have a wide variety of drinks to choose from and coffee and tea.

If you are in the neighborhood, you should pop in and buy something to show your respect. What you should buy is the herring. And specifically, if you happen to be lucky enough to stroll in during Holland Herring season in June/July, that is the herring to get. Even if you just had a giant meat based meal a couple doors down, you can still make room for one herring. Consider it the Jewish equivalent of surf and turf. Although one of my friends said visiting both LES icons was more akin to a "bang bang". Sometimes it's the small shops that make the biggest mark. This is certainly the case with R&D. The place is tiny, but the fish is mighty. I can't speak highly enough about the Holland Herring. So silky. So delicate. So much fun to eat. Held up by the tail, dragged through a mix of chopped onions and pickles, and lowered down into your awaiting mouth. These things are large. They are going to take a few good sized bites. Enjoy the contrast of textures and flavors. Tilting your head back to eat it almost demands that you close your eyes and savor every moment. Yes, the entire herring case is a marvel. While most folks will walk out of R&D with nova (what most people call lox, but is really cold smoked salmon), the real score is the sable and sturgeon. Or, if you are a salt lover, you can get legitimate belly lox here too. It satisfies the soul to see an appetizing store holding the line. Sure, you can put your smoked fish on a bagel or bialy with cream cheese. However, I submit that fish this good should really be enjoyed in its purest form. Maybe if you want to cut the salt, lay some on a thin piece of old world 100% rye bread. Not the squishy deli stuff, but the hard eastern European kind. Perhaps a dolop of sour cream. A few chives if feeling fancy. My old cantor used to love creamed herring with pickled onions on chunks of challah. If you go the herring route and it's not Holland Herring season, I fully endorse this approach. But don't sleep on the Holland Herring. Get one. Eat it on the bench outside or bring it across the street and eat it standing up in the park. I heard rumor that once upon a time folks would eat them right at the counter. That seems a little messy for my taste, but far be it from me to keep a herring lover from their delightful fishy morsels.

They clearly prioritize hygiene here. The interior is so spotless that it is pitiful!…read more On 6/20/26, I purchased food that I cannot get anywhere else: smoked trout mousse (relatively low in sodium), authentic pumpernickel bread (recommended for its comparatively low glycemic index), and in-house smoked Gaspe smoked salmon (relatively low in sodium). Everything tasted phenomenally good. Miguel had given me samples of some food so I could make a decision about what to purchase. This place is not the cheapest, but you're paying for top quality. You can't go wrong here. My customer experience was exceptional.
