I really hate to write a bad review of a Black-owned business, but my experience here was disappointing. I should've ordered what they're known for--hotdogs--but I decided to try something different based on the suggestion of the lady taking my order. She recommended the pastrami tacos and pastrami eggrolls, and unfortunately, neither lived up to expectations. The pastrami tacos were extremely small, like the $3 tacos you get at a street stand, but they cost $14--definitely not worth the price. They were lukewarm, but at least they were decent in taste. The eggrolls, however, were a complete miss. They were also lukewarm and seemed like they were cooked a couple of days ago. I threw them straight in the trash. I really wanted to like this place, but the quality just wasn't there. Maybe the hotdogs are better, but I won't be rushing back to find out. read more

I just love coming to see Ms.K & her wonderful staff on the truck. Everyone is so friendly & greets you with a genuine smile, the music is always soothing R&B! I'm a R&B guy off top lol but mix that with some of there delicious food oooo baby .. I've been following her food since she started years ago in LA when it was just a regular hot dog with a few toppings. Since then she's been crowned the Hot Dog Queen of LA! I struggled with writing this review bc I don't like to bad mouth businesses, especially black ones but this is my exp with this business. I was at a Hollywood A lister party last month and this person paid for everything. I was in line to order food from this business and then the lady working takes my order. She then calls me and tell me it's ready and begins to tell me what I owe. She said it was $20 for a chili dog however the price for that on the menu is $10. I was ready to pay bc I had stood in line for so long yet to only find out everything was suppose to be free. She said the reason I had to pay was bc I wasn't on staff yet all the other party guest didn't pay. I guess she realize the mistake but I say that to say, employees should be mindful and aware. i was seriously looking forward to trying this new spot for lunch, after finding out they were literally 2 blocks away from my work. So I decided to take the short drive there, so I can try the Chili Dog. Upon arriving to the spot, I discovered that the door was closed. So I called the number on the front door, and it went to an answering machine, that instructed me to order online. When I went online, there was a message that stated that they were not taking online orders today. The One Star rating is not based on the quality of the food, but on the fact that I didn't get to have lunch today. And that no one answered the door or phone. So found this lil hidden Gem today. Great service and very simple to order from. The gentleman was Very eager to please us and made our Food with a home style spin on it. We loved everything. The Mac n cheese had a lil spice and great on flavor and texture. The Chilli fries was delicious. I got the al pastor dog and can I just say Damn!!!! It was so good. We also got the sloppy joe fries and might I say it was on point. My husband got the Chicago dog and loved it. The fries were huge and yummy. She greets patrons walking by with a warm smile or a simple hello. The R&B jams playing in the background while she prepares the food really gives that backyard summer cookout feeling. Order got canceled without an explanation. I arrived about 10 min before my pick up time. I was told it will be ready in about 5 minutes. 10 minutes later, lady came out and said "your order is canceled" and just drove off. I had to DM them via Facebook to ask what the issue was. Now on to the good stuff! The food We ordered 1 Turkey burger double patty, with Bacon, pepper jack cheese, pickles, BBQ sauce, bacon. Turkey burgers are hard! They are a hit or miss at certain places. You have to know how to season them & the Turkey burger at Hotdog Queen LA was a HIT!!!!!!!!!! Seasoned perfectly! Very juicy not dry at all! Angus burger with pepper jack cheese, onions, lettuce. Was amazing as well! Next time I'm coming back and throwing some pastrami on it. Seasoned fries were great, fried perfectly! 2 koolaids Tropical Punch and Strawberry lemonade. They were really good. Perfect mix, not too sweet or sour! Will be coming back to try more items. I think this place is a scam or maybe out of business. I wish i had read the other reviews before ordering from them. I have been wanting to check this place out as they are down the street from us. So i placed an order online for pick up I received a confirmation email that said my order would be ready asap - up to 30 min. Went there at 30 min but no one was there. I just finished eating a California hotdog with season salt fries from here. Oh my god it's good. Not only are the couple working this place delightful despite both of them being crammed in a TINY food truck parked next to Satan's broker, Bank of America; the food is off the hook delicious. Seriously one of the best hot dogs I've had in Los Angeles. I love Pinks but the cross town drive isn't worth it - well now I have my fix. The fries were sensational too and may become a staple when my wife and I are jonesing for decent fries. Great food, great owner, excellent service, local, and reasonably priced.
