Lunch was on my job, so I finally ordered a sandwich considering I live in the city. The menu is overwhelming, imo, and nothing ever caught my eye enough to patronize the business. Now I know why. I ordered the Damon Bruce on dutch crunch. Meat: steak - It looks just like ground beef which I do NOT eat!! Two bites and I was scraping every crumble of "steak" from the sandwich. Sauce: ?? I didn't taste much of anything. Nothing to talk about here. Fried onion ring: Too soft and cold Bread: Way too thick. Waaaay too dry! It was hard to swallow and tasteless. This place may be for others, but it is not my cup of tea. read more

Redeemed by birthday reward for this year and tried the "what happens at Ike's stays at Ike's" and it was so good! Fresh veggies, chicken was plentiful and the sauce was evenly distributed. Usually it's too saucy and the entire sandwich is too wet, but it was great this time! I normally do the Dutch crunch bread but opted for sourdough this time, and it was still very yummy! Just wished the sandwich came with the Ike's purple slaw, but I can add it next time. Worker was nice and got me my Mobile pick up order quickly. The store is decked out in decorations and they also do sell loaves of bread there as well! read more

I ordered the #249 with vegan chicken and buffalo sauce. Many have been to Ike's numerous locations can agree is always a bit of an event: I expect it to be messy, with salad falling out as you eat, but I usually don't mind because it works well with their toasted Dutch crunch bread. Delivery timing was as expected; my order was ready about 10 minutes after placing it. There are around five small tables inside, set up cafeteria style facing forward. Unfortunately, this sandwich missed the mark for me. I couldn't taste or notice the buffalo sauce at all, and the protein portion was very small. I ended up leaving about a quarter of the top half of the bread uneaten because the filling ran out and it wasn't satisfying to keep going. It was okay. read more

TL;DR: place is always clean and staff is great. Pro Joe was a delicious sandwich Second time I visited this Carson location and it is everything great you expect at an Ike's The local exclusive is the Pro Joe. It has roast beef and bacon, in addition to the dirty sauce and Fixin's. On a Dutch crunch bread it is really good. I also kind of know that the staff was very attentive When I walked in they all turned to the door and greeted me. I know this is probably something that everyone should do, but it did not seem very mechanical in their attempts to say hi but it was rather a little more nice to see me as they are saying hi. read more

What's not to love about Ike's? The sandwiches are served warm on your choice of bread (I usually go with the sourdough) and a variety of fillings. My go to is the backstabber lol because I love artichoke hearts. read more

The sandwiches are really good, but expensive. However, they do have a loyalty program to make things a little easier on the wallet. Staff was cool, patient and helpful. The interior was interesting and fun! Overall, I take a star off because of price. I also do wish they had a reward for people who leave a review on Yelp or Google. Great vegan options! Hope that part of the menu becomes their main priority. Better for the planet and should be cheaper. read more

Stopped by Ike's Love & Sandwiches and this one hit. The bread alone deserves a moment warm, fresh, with this perfect crunch on the outside and just a hint of sweetness that pulled everything together. I went with the halal chicken loaded with buffalo sauce, ranch, and provolone, and it was messy in the best way. Honestly, I wish I wasn't so hungry because this sandwich deserved to be savored, not devoured in record time. Every bite was balanced, indulgent, and straight-up satisfying. I haven't had a good sandwich in a while so while I was at IKEA I thought I'd stop in at Ike's! I ordered through the app which was a breeze and I wouldn't have to feel rushed to make a decision at the counter since they have so many options! I got the Phantom Elvis Kreep. Chicken (Halal), Bacon, Teriyaki, Wasabi Mayo, Swiss cheese. So goooood! I forgot how big their sandwiches are and it didn't disappoint! Inside was nice and clean with some high top tables to sit at. First time here & didn't get a bite to eat. Terrible service. We walked in, everyone stared blankly at us. No one said a word, until it became awkward & one employee mumbled, "Hi" under her breath. I was introduced to Ike's less than two months ago, and I've been hooked ever since. A buddy of mine asked what we wanted for lunch, so I checked out the menu. I started with the Matt Cain, while my business partners ordered the Madison Bumgarner and Meatless Mike. We were blown away. One of them is vegetarian, and the options were surprisingly impressive. Rest in peace, Subway--we used to go there 2-3 times a week because it was convenient. Now, we gladly make the extra drive to the Carson location because the quality and consistency are worth it. Each week, we try something new: the Munchie Melt, the Steve Jobs, and today, the Da Vinci. It just keeps getting better. Even on busy days at the office, we'll order delivery because we know what to expect: consistent, delicious sandwiches made by a well-trained team. And those caramel apple lollipops? A sweet bonus. Special shoutout to Steve at the front--he's always welcoming, knows the menu inside and out, and gives great recommendations based on what we've tried before. He even remembers when it's been a while since we've stopped in, mentioning he's seen our name pop up for delivery orders. Today, I met Rob, who seems to be in upper management (might even be related to Ike ‍) I told him how much I appreciate the Ike's app and its generous rewards program--more people should know about it! I've been tagging and posting on social media to spread the word. I even tried to score a shirt during a Weedmaps promo but didn't win, so I went online to buy one. I'd love to see Ike's merchandise available in-store--I'd proudly wear it every time I visit. Thank you for opening in Carson and taking over the old Togo's spot. See you again soon! read more

I used to go to the one in Long Beach but I've been coming here since this place opened up and it never disappoints. *knock on wood* Their service is always consistent! The order is always on point, always right, and the service is immaculate. Was here during Father's Day and they have a promotion of buy one get one. What a steal! You can't beat that deal. Although the price for a vegan sandwich is kind of pricey, the portion is impressive imo. I love coming here, the staff is ALWAYS so friendly.. and my order is always legit. Highly recommended branch. I've been to other locations in El Segundo and Manhattan Beach, but this spot is the best. Their marketing department seems to be doing a good job because their coupons in the app and emails always get me! :) read more

Criminally underrated and highly delicious subs, there is truly a sandwich for every occasion and taste here at Ike's! My favorites were the meatless meatball sub (absolutely delicious) and the pastrami, but would absolutely recommend experimenting given the high quality of ingredients in any sub! This review is solely based on an order from a delivery service. I forgot what one because food was bought for our office. At first I was overwhelmed by the menu. There is so much to choose from. I got the Da Vinci. At first I chose french bread then went to look at everyone else's order. They all got Dutch crunch. I thought to myself ( they must know something I don't) I quickly switched to Dutch crunch. I got my sandwich without veggies well because they don't transport well. Although I've been to Ike's before, this was my first time to this particular location. No worries, though, because this location maintains the same high standards as the others I've been to. On this visit, I chose the Damon Bruce with steak, steak sauce, onion rings, provolone, lettuce, and tomato. I, of course, went with the Dutch Crunch roll for my bread. The sandwich tasted great and was exactly what I was hoping for. Like all locations, they have an extensive menu, so you should find something to your liking. The inside is clean, and the staff (Steve) was helpful. Parking is a little tight since it's a little small and shared with other businesses. read more

My husband raves about this place, but unfortunately I was supposed to order inside to get a decent sandwich. Also, What is up with employees just letting your food sit on the counter while they socialize?? Mind you there is not one customer in the restaurant. This is the second time this has happened, the last time I waited 15 minutes with an online order. I get home and open my sandwich it is completely drenched in sauce , there are missing toppings there is one slice of each meat that is featured for the da Vinci. What a sloppy mess, I can't believe I paid $20 for this, huge disappointment. I would like a refund but it's not even worth the hassle. read more

I just recently started going to Ike's, as it was recommended to me, and I just have to say the quality and taste of their sandwiches are 10/10! My go to is the Hunter Pence sub! The only thing I have to mention is I really teetered between 4 or 5 stars & that's solely based on the customer service & that's not to say it's bad but it's only okay! I feel the service just barely meets the mark, not terrible but also not great. But since I'm big on good customer service (coming from someone who works in it) I always have to take it into account when making my reviews, but overall I would definitely recommend Ike's and see myself coming back! read more

First timer here and staff are were truly patient and was able to make suggestions. The inside of the restaurant is big enough to sit and eat your meal but can only imagine how packed they can get. The location shares a parking lot with Starbucks so it gets very packed. As far as my sandwich I order #201 Adam Richman. Such a great sandwich and they weren't stingy with the avocado. read more

I've had really great sandwiches from Ike's but this time was the worst. The bread was so hard that it left the roof of my mouth numb. I feel sorry for the people that may think this is normal. When I called the worker didn't seem too concerned. The food is good... just not sure about the bread. I'm a huge fan of the dutch crunch bread. It's killer. It makes the sandwich freaking incredible. There's not much to love about Ike's Sandwiches, except for the price. There's something to be said about the recent (12month) increase in prices that has yet to not claim a victim in the restaurant industry, and Ike's is no different. At close to $15/sandwich, it's not an everyday expense that we can drop often. However, the sandwiches are seriously delicious. I've had the Madison Baumgartner sandwich many times and the quality is just unrivaled. One complaint about this location - getting in and out of this plaza is really hard. It sits at a weird corner off the freeway. If you overshoot the turn, you have to make 3 left turns to get back to the square. read more

Yea they got me with this one. And this SPECIFIC location. I had Ike's once when they catered at my school. They were good when it was just left overs so I felt since I was in the area, that I check them out when fresh, and I was NOT disappointed. After scanning the extensive menu, I settled on getting the JAYMEE. The staff/sandwich preparer was generous in her responses when I was asking about the preparation of my sandwich, I LOVED THAT SHE SENT THE FRIED CHICKEN STRIPS THREW THE OVEN 3 TIMEEEEEESSSSSS! MADE SURE IT WAS FULLY COOKED. It was about 3-4strips on my sandwich, and I added other toppings and ingredients. Food is great taste clean the bread oh my God, the bread. First time I'm eating at this place because I got a flat tire 100% will be back even had to call a few friends to let them know how good it was.! I witnessed a caring employee; a homeless man walked in older, was not a druggie just look like a person that was just literally down on their luck and struggling. Finally, after making me yell and argue with them for probably 3 minutes in front of the whole restaurant, she finally agreed to refund the $3. Horrible service, and dishonest. They tried everything they could to not give me a refund when there was no hash browns and I paid for them. Worst service ever.
