    Chashu bowl
    Lumen T.

I was hungry after being onsite for a client and passed by this food truck a month ago. I ordered the Chashu bowl and it totally hit the spot! The rice had soaked up some of the juices from the pork. It came with a soy egg, potato salad, carrot salad, tons of green onions and a mayo & chili packet. The portion was generous - enough for dinner and lunch. I'd come here again for it!

This food truck is located and parked in front of the Toyota dealership off Western in Gardena. I always drive by this all the time and always wanted to try it. I was craving some ramen but didn't want to go to a ramen place so on my way home I drove by this truck and decided to try it finally. I got the #1 Tonkotsu shio rich pork broth which I believe was the basic one. Also looked like they raised up their prices a dollar on almost everything on the menu. Overall the ramen was good and definitely hit the spot for that late snack craving. I would get this again.

Tonkatsu with black garlic broth (so good)

My wife and I enjoy ramen and have passed by this truck multiple times on our daily walk. Today we decided to give it a try, we both got the #3 (tonkatsu with black garlic). It was delicious and we will be back. Why was it good? First we got a good amount of pork, more than most other places. We also a whole soft boiled egg were most places give you a half. The broth was also very nice!

Piece of hair in my burrito :(

I'm very sad after visiting this place last time. I generally love this place and really debated writing this, but I have to be honest. I came here late on a Friday night to grab some food. My go to is usually the ramen as its a good deal and actually tastes pretty close to legit ramen. This time I wanted something different, so i went with a birrria burrito. The burrito is so cheap (I think less than $10), so I was excited to give it a try. I ordered at the truck, waited for around 10 minutes (while looking at all the Toyota cars since its next to a dealership), and got my order. I drove home and was ready to dig in. Took a few bites and it tasted great. Stuffed full of meat, rice, onions, and it comes with salsa. It was all good...until i looked a little closer and found...a piece of hair. I was so sad. It tasted good, it was reasonable, and then I had to throw it away. That being said, I'll continue to come back because I think the ramen is really worth it, but I think ill stay away from the burritos.

I'm sad to write this. I have been wanting to check this place out for a LONG time, but every time I've tried, they're not there. Finally found them there tonight, and I'm soooo disappointed. Hubby got the number 3, and said it was "fine", and I was very excited to try the birria ramen. It doesn't taste BAD, it just doesn't taste at all! The only flavor is from the cilantro and onion added on top. The broth is bland, and the meat is bland. I added the hot sauce they gave me, and it added heat without adding flavor. I'm a birria fan. I love the consommé that usually comes with it. This was not it. My least favorite thing was that there was more fat and silverskin than meat. Seriously, it was SO FATTY!! Disappointed.

Did a phone order and was told food would be ready in 10 minutes. Got there and the food was ready and packed for pick up. Prices are good, portions are great, and food tasted good! They have a little small area to sit by the truck if interested. There's all this parking as well, which is nice. They have late hours which is great! Would recommend to check their Instagram to see if they'll be open the day of.

The only reason they're not getting a fifth is their inconsistent hours Their ramen broths are delightful and delicious. The noodles are made to travel, as they come very firm. (Add your broth to the noodles and put in the microwave *on low power* for 5 minutes. Perfect bowl of inexpensive tonkatsu ramen, everytime. Now I haven't seen them, at all. Where'd you go. I miss you so.

We tried the Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen 9/10 Garlic Black sesame oil Ramen 8/10 Chicken Fried Rice 7/10 (could use more seasoning flavor) Workers were friendly & nice. Open late!

@makeMePrettie to-go food adventure! Spicy ramen. Yum!

They keep their prices simple for ramen. $10 literally. Super flavorful for what I was expecting for the price. Definitely can't beat the price, quality, portion and fast customer service. They also have tacos! Haven't tried. Bring cash. @makeMePrettie approved. I'll definitely be adding their food truck to my conversations.

First and foremost, go to facebook.com/ramenibarraoriginal and add them as a friend. They got rid of all other accounts and made a new one on Feb 16, 2022 where all of their photos and updates will be posted there. It's the best way to know if they'll be open or not (daily stories are posted). Ramen Ibarra always satisfy my late night cravings. They're pretty affordable. Their ramens are the most expensive on the menu, but it's actually a lot of food. I personally like their Tonkotsu Ramen over Shin-Se-Gumi Hakata Ramens. Their broth is really good and their chashu is great! Speaking of chashu, whenever I'm not craving for ramen, I usually get their Chashu Bowl and a side of gyoza. Their chashu bowl has become my guilty pleasure. One thing to note, their gyoza actually come in 7pcs, not 6pcs as it says on the menu. When I want something COMPLETELY different, I go for their asada burrito. Their burritos are always filling with plenty of rice, beans, and meat - not to mention, it's affordable. Check out this small, family-run, food truck. You won't regret it!

The restaurant wasn't full yet but it filled up very quickly after we sat down (shortly after Shinsengumi opened). There's a decent amount of seating inside and it's very lively. We had our kids with us and didn't feel too self conscious when they were making a ruckus lol. I got their Tokyo Yatai ramen with extra noodles and an additional side of curry rice. It's a solid meal if you're by yourself. I'm not sure why it's called Yatai but I understand that word is associated with those shop stands that cook food on the side walks. I'm a big fan of food stalls so this bowl of ramen gave me those kind of vibes. I loved it. It was well balanced and the noodles were delicious! The side of curry was delicious too! I'd definitely come back here regardless of what's going on at Shinsengumi next time!

Staff were super attentive and kind. Got the dip ramen (aka tsukemen) in regular size. The portion is just right. Noodles are thick and chewy. The dipping broth is so well flavored and goes amazing when dipped with the noodles. I liked the broth so much I tried it on its own, but it was too salty and not meant to be used for drinking. The ramen came with half an egg, and a slice of chashu. Egg was perfect- not too runny or cooked. Chashu was tender. Really loved this and will definitely come get it again. Fried rice side- really flavorful and tasty. It had some meat pieces and fishcake pieces inside. Gyoza - got the kurobuta and garlic flavor. Unfortunately this fell short of my expectations as the top of the skin wasn't crispy at all. The filling was juicy, but had a bit too much ginger taste to it.

They only have a couple of locations in SoCal, so there's usually a wait, but it's definitely worth it. The staff are wonderful. My go to is the Tonkotsu since that's what they're known for, and it was delicious. This time I decided to try the Black Devil Ramen, which combines their black garlic oil tonkotsu broth with their spicy tonkotsu broth. I'm really glad I switched it up because the black garlic gave the broth a much deeper, richer flavor, and the little bit of spice balanced everything out perfectly. I love spicy ramen, but not when it's so spicy that you can't taste anything else. Also added the Everything Topping and extra green onions because I'm feeling hungry. The extra veggies make it even better and definitely satisfied my hunger. Definitely one of my favorite ramen spots outside of Little Tokyo. The food was actually quite good. We both had a bowl of the Black Devil ramen at a spice level of 4. I was worried that this would be too much but it was actually a very manageable level of spice. The type of spice where I can still enjoy my food and not have to worry about eating it through hiccups or anything like that. I also had a side of the spicy katsu cutlet, which I also enjoyed very much. They brought me one big piece of chicken katsu and some scissors to cut it up, which I thought was neat. But every bite I had was wonderful, as it was clearly fried to perfection. The service was also on point and our server even let us try some of their devil sauce ( I do not remember if this was what it was called but it sure was spicy). A few drops of this in my bowl of ramen and I began to sweat profusely. She said barely anyone ever orders it and I can totally see why haha. She was also super nice to us and overall provided some excellent service, I did not quite catch her name. The interior of this place also feels quite small, but it is well ventilated. Just be mindful if you get up and walk around because there are people eating to your left and right.
