My girlfriend and I were hungry after drinking all night at our friends surprise engagement rooftop party. She's always down for some late night tacos but I randomly came across this place since it was the closest to where we were. I was actually very surprised by this place since it had ramen AND tacos at the same time. I've never been to japan before but it definitely reminds me of those Yatai where they have seats around to eat at but this is a food truck instead. I ordered the #2 Tonkotsu with Black Sesame Oil. The soup was super fatty and it came with a lot of noodles. I loved all of the wood ear mushrooms it came with (I think?) THE MEAT WAS SO TENDER. They gave you 3 nice slices. I gave a piece to my gf and she was so amazed LOL. I WAS even thoroughly surprised. I wonder if they sous vide the meat. They also made their own chili sauce that had some chipotle in it which was fantastic. She had two al pastor tacos which were also SUPER GOOD. You know it's going to be a great taco when you get the sauce in a little tied up baggy and you have to bite the tip of it. All of it was $18 and we tipped some more on top. We waited a little while but only because it was super busy so it's understandable but the workers were all super nice and banged out all of the big orders pretty fast for only 2 people at 130am. I'm very sad after visiting this place last time. I generally love this place and really debated writing this, but I have to be honest. I came here late on a Friday night to grab some food. My go to is usually the ramen as its a good deal and actually tastes pretty close to legit ramen. This time I wanted something different, so i went with a birrria burrito. The burrito is so cheap (I think less than $10), so I was excited to give it a try. I ordered at the truck, waited for around 10 minutes (while looking at all the Toyota cars since its next to a dealership), and got my order. I drove home and was ready to dig in. Took a few bites and it tasted great. Stuffed full of meat, rice, onions, and it comes with salsa. It was all good...until i looked a little closer and found...a piece of hair. I was so sad. It tasted good, it was reasonable, and then I had to throw it away. I'm sad to write this. I have been wanting to check this place out for a LONG time, but every time I've tried, they're not there. Finally found them there tonight, and I'm soooo disappointed. Hubby got the number 3, and said it was "fine", and I was very excited to try the birria ramen. It doesn't taste BAD, it just doesn't taste at all! The only flavor is from the cilantro and onion added on top. The broth is bland, and the meat is bland. I added the hot sauce they gave me, and it added heat without adding flavor. I'm a birria fan. They got rid of all other accounts and made a new one on Feb 16, 2022 where all of their photos and updates will be posted there. It's the best way to know if they'll be open or not (daily stories are posted). Ramen Ibarra always satisfy my late night cravings. They're pretty affordable. Their ramens are the most expensive on the menu, but it's actually a lot of food. I personally like their Tonkotsu Ramen over Shin-Se-Gumi Hakata Ramens. Their broth is really good and their chashu is great! Speaking of chashu, whenever I'm not craving for ramen, I usually get their Chashu Bowl and a side of gyoza. Their chashu bowl has become my guilty pleasure. One thing to note, their gyoza actually come in 7pcs, not 6pcs as it says on the menu. When I want something COMPLETELY different, I go for their asada burrito. Their burritos are always filling with plenty of rice, beans, and meat - not to mention, it's affordable. Ramen food trucks are an underutilized concept, given ramen stalls were once quite popular in Japan. Ramen Ibarra's one of the few that I'm familiar with. Their late-night convenience, not the taste, is their main draw. First, be sure to check their Instagram (@tonkotsu_ramenibarra). They tend to be closed early in the week, more often than their Yelp hours suggest. Their flagship item is their tonkotsu broth, with a choice of a salt-based or soy sauce-based blend. The soup is quite muddled and bland. It's actually their chicken-based broths that are decent. They also serve a negi (green onions) birria rice bowl. It's a great idea, in my opinion, but the execution is quite poor. You expect the richness that you get from the consomme at a regular birria joint, but the birria bowl here is disappointingly dry and flavorless. Ramen Ibarra is open until 2am. But Shinsengumi-2-Go (10pm), Shinsengumi (11pm), and Ramen Tomizo (12am) are also open quite late, so it's hard to recommend them given the quality of the food. read more

I'm so lucky when we used to live in Carson I can walk to their regular spot. Now they moved in Gardena which the same city I'm at I have to drive less than a mile, so cool! This was my first time, my niece recommended because I wanted Ramen Noodles so I went here ordering over the phone the staff member help me make a choice, originally I wanted the vegetable Ramen but they had no vegetable so I took her options which she said was popular among customer....sorry I don't have the name of what I had but it was noodle with chicken I thought it was okay maybe if I had it there maybe instead of getting home and eating it would have been better. I had a side of some kinda of chicken pieces that looked fried now I will say that it was very tasty! I work at night, I'm on my lunch break, took it to go. Ate it in my car 15 min later. Delicious!!! Forgot to take a picture it was so delicious. Shinsemgumi 2 Go closes at about 10, so my area options are fast food or a late sit down somewhere. Will definitely be coming back to try their other items. Ok... you MUST try this place. The location was perfect for where I was staying close by and there was parking right on the street behind the truck. I called ahead and they answered and told me their hours. I went right over ... and only tried the chicken teriyaki but it was AWESOME. Super small food truck that does a lot of different things. Tried a bunch. The gyoza was good and seemed larger than what you usually get. The $1.50 tacos were well worth the price. Really enjoyed the al pastor and would get it again. The black sesame ramen was nice and hot when we got home, which is always a worry.
