For a little hole-in-the-wall spot, this place is fantastic. Authentic cuisine with everything fresh and made to order. The prices are great, the tacos are loaded with meat, and the Sonoran dogs are delicious. The complimentary salsa bar was a standout and made the experience even better. Definitely a fun place to check out and another great example of the awesome food Tucson has to offer.

I loved this place. It is nice inside and the owner is friendly. I've had many Sonoran dogs in the area and this hotdog was the best I've had. I did get the Chipilon 501, so perhaps it cheating because it has Carne Asada on the top, it was very good!! The space is nice and clean as well. It's a little more expensive than your average Sonoran Dog but the quality is worth it.

    Tostidog for the win!!!

Stopped by Hotdogs 501 recently and really enjoyed it. It's a small, family-owned spot that just opened, and you can tell a lot of care goes into what they're making. I ordered the taco de asada, taco 501, and a tostidog. The asada taco was simple and solid -- well-seasoned meat and a good balance of flavors. The taco 501 was different in a good way and ended up being my favorite. The tostidog was fun, filling, and exactly what you want when you're craving something a little indulgent. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, and the people working there were friendly and appreciative of the support. It's always nice finding a new local place that feels genuine and isn't trying too hard. I'm glad I checked it out and will definitely be back to try more. If you're in the area and looking to support a family business, it's worth stopping by!

Finally got to check out this spot and. What an ABSOLUTELY SOLID Sonoran dog they are putting out here. They smoke their hotdogs for a bit before firing them up so they have a very distinct smokiness to them that blends in insanely well with the existing staples of a Sonoran dog. Not to mention the beef chicharrón that kicks it up. These dogs are built different and the only thing I can say is to try them yourself. The place is family ran, literally, so the service is great and attentive. They have seating inside and outside too if your not looking to grab and go as well so that was nice. The vibe inside is very calm and clean not what you'd expect from the chaos on main st. just outside, I thought that was impressive alone. Parking can seem confusing at first but just pull into the alley and find a spot.

I was really excited to check out Hot Dogs 501 with my friend the other night and it did not disappoint!. We opted to sit inside (the dining area is bigger than it looks,) but there's also a large outdoor seating area out back. We both ordered a Hot Dog, which is really a Sonoran dog, and very, very good. We also each had a taco- I tried the Taco 501 and she had the Taco de Asada. Both were very tasty, and we enjoyed sampling the different salsas at the salsa bar. Our server was so friendly and the food came out fast. The space is very cute, with all sorts of potted house plants on display, and eventually for sale. And it's nice to have another Sonoran dog option in the neighborhood. Welcome, Hot Dogs 501!

First time being here and it was an awesome experience. Food was excellent and the owner came over and talked to us for a little bit.

Lights out! Hands down the best Sonoran food in the desert. Dodgy neighborhood, extremely well maintained interior and lovely, family staff. Get the basic hot dog with everything. So good.

Stopped in here for lunch with a coworker because it's right by my work. We couldn't get over how good everything was! I had the Taco 501. I was iffy about the price but it ended up being enough to make two tacos, and felt like a meal. The crunchy little chicharrón bits mixed with the asada were heavenly. My coworker loved his hot dog and we both picked off of the Tostidog, which we brought back to work to share and everyone loved. Can't wait to go back next time I need a quick lunch or a cute meeting spot.

The food was amazing. Come on with the friendly staff and timely service. Had a great time going with my friends after a long and tiring day. I would definitely recommend going again and again over and over just the aroma of the food emanating from the backside and the ambience of the entire place with something I could always ask for Great place 10 out of 10. Lighting is bright with a modern and scenic inside reminds you of the beauty of Tucson architecture.

    Regular hot dog.

The bread is awesome. The hot dog great flavor. The sausage is quality. Fresh ingredientes and fast service. Ambience is quiet and relax. Great service from the two ladies working here. Food was served quick. Definitely recommended.

Oh Mama! One never knows when love strikes...until you take that first bite of a Chipilon 501 Sonoran Hot Dog! Oh my goodness! I have never tasted a better hot dog, and I'm a big fan! Even more surprisingly, my girlfriend who rarely eats a hot dog proclaimed her hot dog the best she's ever had too! Seriously, the food here is amazing! I literally had to bite through the toppings a couple of times to actually hit the dog, but every mouthful was delicious. Every bit, from the steamed bun to the beef crackling to the beans and bacon and guac, cheese, and steak...excuse me, I'm drooling on my keyboard again! Yum! The space is relatively tiny, but super cute, clean, and inviting. The staff was friendly and charming, and, for this paramount gastronomic experience, the (low) price was unbelievable. The menu may appear a bit limited, but you're just going to have one of these fantastic dogs anyway, so it's an easy choice. Seriously, get over to Hot Dogs 501 now! My only complaint is that they're located in Tucson--and I live in Phoenix! Wah!!! I'm already looking for any excuse to return to Hot Dogs 501!

Wow wow wow! Amazing tacos and Sonoran dogs!

I also love that the menu strives to be locally sourced. The food is very fresh! The service from the counter is fairly fast, which was especially great for us, as we were short on time. This time ordered the Simply Eggy Breakfast. The marmalade was unique and the eggs were perfectly poached. The portions are standard, so there will likely be no leftovers. For the portions though, I would say the price is a little on the higher end. To finish my friend got a tahini brownie on the way out and we found it to be very pleasant and not overly sweet. I would love to try their coffees and teas!

The line was the usual long line and with my dog, was much better as people talk and pet dogs in line and it went fairly fast. The line was in shade with the nearby tree so it made it that much better. The ambiance is the misters around that are welcomed by all, the pretty tree and greenery and fencing and signage they have used to decorate this small outdoor place so well. The shaded and covered tables outside had various chairs and enough space for people to rotate in and out- esp with our dogs that love the cool brick to lie on:) Now, the absolute best part is the food- still amazingly worth waiting for and delicious!! I got the burrito( basic has potato, egg, beans , cheese) and the protein I added was bacon and extra was guac. Also got the 16oz Dirty Chai. My friend came for first time and was surprised to open her order and find two burritos- I knew and wanted to see her face- she loved the taste and the fact she had lunch or dinner later as one truly is so full of deliciousness- it fills you up! We each had one we took home ! This place- just a treat for anyone wanting fantastic and pure local service and food! Highly recommend!!!

I wouldn't say that it is top of the line cooking, but it is very delicious and definitely worth a visit this side of town. Parking can be a little challenging, they do share a parking lot with other businesses, but close in, there are not that many spots. Service is always friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Interesting atmosphere with flamingos galore and other things decorating the inside. Gives it somewhat of a party and fun feel. Food comes out in a timely manner even when they are very busy. Prices are reasonable. Give it a try, I think you'll like it. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

(well once in taste, but I'll get to that) They have great in-house made items. Like the Challa bread, the preserves, their pesto. They most certainly know what they're doing. I had unseasoned filet mignon once, I believe it was the omelette. I talked to the manager. Now I wasnt upset, didn't send it back, I just told them what I experienced and mused that I found it odd the cook forgot a simple thing like salt. The manager acknowledged my complaint and that was all; or at least I was fine. Nope, she came back with a to-go box of croissants topped with cream and berries as an apology. They were tremendous by the way. She didn't have to do that. The ambiance is it's only weak point, but even that is minor. Simple black is fine. It's modern feeling and doesn't stand out loudly. They have outdoor seating, which early in the morning is fine, but id avoid in the summer, which will likely mean you'll be waiting, depending on the time. Oh! I forgot to mention, they have very good drinks. They really are intentional about the blend of flavors, they have a little something for everyone. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough. It's been a shining star amongst Tucson restaurants and I am grateful they exist. Even to how they organize their menu partly by flavor profiles shows they genuinely LOVE food.
