Amazing hot dogs at a convenient location. He's always nice professional, and makes the best fresh hot dogs with fresh ingredients. And he remembered me from months ago as I'm traveling on business. His old cart got destroyed- crashed into and he's still out here hustling every day , so go get some!

    Sonoran dog. Torito.

Absolutely worth five stars! Had a hankering for a Sonoran style dog here locally, and this place gets rave reviews. Stopped by this morning while in town (I live in Vail). Haven't had a good dog in a couple years, and this is the real deal. Place smelled crazy good while standing there, and the food fit the bill. Can't ask for more! Oh yeah, the torito was a perfect appetizer.

Dany Hot Dog cart is set up on Broadway just east of Swan on the south lot near Barnes n Noble. My husband and I have gone a few times in the evening and sat in their tables, enjoying Sonoran hotdog and sodas. This place is no more than five minutes away from our house and it's really really good. It's reasonably priced and despite traffic on Broadway right by you when you're eating, I've had very positive experiences . Dany Hot Dog offers a covered area with seating available. There's some canvas to prevent wind from blowing on you on one side of the tent covered space. Every time I go, I feel like I get excellent service and excellent Sonoran hotdogs. There's no porta potty in that area for customers, but there is a handwashing area with paper towels, and hand sanitizer available if you need it. The beverages come out of coolers, offering Mexican sodas and more familiar brands available in cans and or bottles. Check it out!

It's difficult to go wrong on a Sonoran dog, and Dany does it right. Good flavor, friendly service, good prices. I recommend Dany's if you are on the east side. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

You can't come to Tucson and not have Danny Hot Dogs! This is a little hot dog stand off the side of off Broadway Blvd, operating six days a week and serving some great traditional Sonora Hot Dog. The simplicity of a toasted bun loaded with the fixings on a bacon wrapped dog just hits home making this a comfort food. Also had the torito, a Güero Chili stuffed with mixed cheese and wrapped in bacon - this definitely hit the bull eyes on being the perfect addition to my meal bursting with flavor and a hint of spiciness that is enough to to enjoy but not burn. The environment is a great setting to just get out of the office and enjoy a nice breeze under a covered area and breakup the traditional scenery of restaurants with an outdoor seating on folding tables and chairs. Danny was friendly and attentive to multiple orders as he manned the grill, took orders and served the meals at the tables. Highly recommended and must in Tucson.

We have been going to Dany and his brother Marino for hotdogs since they opened they're hotdog stand around 4 years ago now and they were the only stand there. The quality has always been top tier. They make great hotdogs and they also sell some really tasty agua frescas. My husband has become their friend now and goes at least twice a week for a hotdogs if not more. They have great customer service and they have their area clean. They have some tables as well if you want to sit and enjoy your food there. We are lucky to live in the neighborhood behind where they're parked so we go home but we have sat down and waited for our food and it's always clean. We love this place! Hands down some of the best Sonoran hotdogs in Tucson, if not the best!

I've been wanting to trying a Sonoran hot dog and found Dany Hot Dogs. It's a food cart located in an empty lot. A few food trucks were also set up in the lot. These hot Dogs did not disappoint! The hot dogs were flavorful and hit the spot. I also from the Tostidogs (think that's what it was called). Essentially, it was just Tostitos with cut up hot dog, bacon and all the hot dog toppings. So good! If you're in the area, I recommend stopping here. I was there at 11:30 and it seems like this is a place all the locals go to, they were getting a steady amount of customers. Service is quick and the employee was helpful and kind. I will definitely be going back!

    So so so good. Sonoran

The food was amazing. Dany was attentive. If you like hot dogs you must try this. I will be back again and again until I try everything on the menu.

I'll begin with the Sonoran dog, absolutely delicious. I can't wait to try other items on the menu. Unfortunately when ever I stop at one of these roadside vendors I get the Sonoran dog. Guy taking the order and the cook was very nice. Love the outdoor drive up or sit down atmosphere. This place is on the corner of Rosemont and Broadway S/W.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - Sonoran and Chipilon (Sonoran with extra cheese on top) hot dogs which had sausage, bacon, bean, grilled onion, raw onion, tomato, mayonnaise, mustard, jalapeño sauce, and a little jalapeño on the side. The bread was deliciously buttered and soft. Really enjoyed the ingredients on top but could not find the bacon. The sauce adds just a tiny kick that was quite enjoyable Ambience: n/a - ordered food to go. Food truck with a few tables and chair set out with shade overhead. There is a huge water thing for washing hands and hand sanitizer available Service: 5/5 - one man team that was juggling everything by himself. He was taking orders as he cook and also serving the items that were cooked at the same time Value for price: 5/5 - nice little food truck that seemed organized and clean. Simple but yummy food! Would not pay a dollar for extra cheese in the future, just stick with the Sonoran

Hot dog and pepper that are bigger than any I've ever seen.

The service is always amazing when going. The owner speaks both Spanish and English. I don't want to say these are the best hot dogs but I am born and raised in Tucson and have had my fair share of Sonoran Hot dogs and these are really the best and are prices that you can't turn down. The owner is out there day and night through this hot weather and monsoon season selling the best hotdogs and putting all his soul into these hotdogs you can definitely taste the flavor. Even just one hot dogs is filling.

The interior is visually congested, not in a bad way but with lots of decor, seating, movement areas and etc. It makes a feeling of the space being busy and distracting. I prefer calmer spaces but it's not terrible. Service was prompt, frequent and wonderful. An older woman came by and asked how we wanted salsa and made us a bowl which was INCREDIBLE! So savory, spicy, fresh and left me wanting more. (You get a certain amount salsa and chips per person than you gotta pay). It was literally perfect. We weren't super hungry and wanted to share, to us the serving was more than enough for two. We enjoyed a house rocks margarita, grilled steak fajitas with rice and beans, sides of sour cream and guacamole and also some chips and salsa. It was all very well made, came out steaming and was very satisfying. The space felt cold to me, but seemed fine to all else. So just a note there if you run on the warmer side. I don't know if they do reservations, but I would imagine on some nights it would be a good idea seeing as they seem very busy.

Which, you know, is kind of the whole point of a restaurant. The atmosphere was great, a little on the nose, but great none the less. It feels like a Mexican dinner or at least what I imagined a dinner in Mexico would look like. The staff where beyond amazing, especially the woman who made our complementary salsa right at the table. And the salsa was yummy but sadly that's the only part of the meal that I can say that about. The thing is, nothing was truly bad, but just about everything was incredibly bland. You'd have expected someone who puts raisins in potato salad to have served it, not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Though the positive is the lack of seasoning is really the only major problem. The food did not have any weird taste, it wasn't dry, the presentation was fine. It simply needs to be seasoned and this place goes to a solid 4/5 rather than a three.

Pretty good. Pretty good. Of the four of us who gathered to dine here last Friday, (late summer of…read more2026), three in our party raved about their meals, and had nothing but high-praise for the experience. We three, actually loved everything about AMELIAS. Us three (*let's just call them "the cool ones"), were wowed by the taste of our food and noted that the plate presentations were kinda cool-- and a little "more-fancy" than what is typically placed down upon the table at your typical Mexican food restaurants. AMELIAS adds a bit of "pizazz" and "decorum" to their menu items--like edible flowers that float in your margarita, or wavy lines of crema that dance on the seas of flavorful sauces that accompany the tamales, 'chiladas, and relleno plates served here. Three-forths of us also noted how attentive and friendly those who served us were. And... we (the cool ones) also all noticed how the warm, cheerful, and welcoming ambiance and decor of the place added to the enjoyment of our meal. (*Play Debbie-downer walk-up music) One in our group...(dramatic pause)... was notably quiet and reserved when it was her turn to rave about her dish. This person, smiled and shared that she thought her food was, "pretty good." But, now that I think about it...her praise was kinda limited, and she, indeed, was a bit reticent. I would find out later, as we lay in bed that night, that one in our group had not enjoyed her meal as much the other three had. Apparently, the cheese and chicken enchiladas dish that was ordered was not to this person's liking, and she added that she thought the service was "just okay". Not wanting to bring-down the mood of the evening, this person played along and didn't criticize. Now, I am not trained in psychology, but if feels like...(how do I put this delicately?)... okay. (*the writer thinks for a bit). Sometimes... when one in our party does not get to pick the restaurant that we are going to try, it seems to me... that...(dramatic pause as I try to find just the right words to say this).. I seems to me... that...This person is just, "not going to enjoy" the place that was picked, no matter how good it is. There! I said it. And while I'm on the subject... your mom is just like this too. And now you know the rest of my story. Let's summarize: AMELIAS is a very good restaurant and you will enjoy the heck out of your meal. Unless, of course, you insist on being the one who picks where your group goes out to eat-- and you don't get your way. Then, you will find it to be, "pretty good", but complain about it later in bed. (I know this is supposed to be a restaurant review, and not a mini-soap opera. But I hope you enjoyed our little dive into the psychology of relationships.) Until next time, this is the guy who will be sleeping on the couch for a night or two if my beloved happens to read this. (lol--she will find humor in this...and, of course, disagree with my "junior-psychologist" interpretation of why she thought Amelias was just okay. )

The food was creative while maintaining that fabulous fresh, handmade Mexican flavor profile. Absolutely delicious! Pricing landed somewhere in the $$ amount per person including beverage and appetizer. Very fair for the level of hand-crafting going into every dish. We didn't have a reservation (highly recommend getting one for busy times) and were happy to sit where they could fit us. Our server Louie was EXCELLENT. He walked us through the entire menu in 3 minutes and we felt confident ordering. He also suggested an amazing appetizer featuring chilies stuffed with cheese and shrimp and wrapped in bacon . I ordered the Fajitas Mixtas for my main as I wanted to try several meats. Hubby ordered the shrimp enchiladas with both green and red sauce. Both were beautiful and delicious. I also tried the mocktail that had prickly pear puree. It was delicious and refreshing. The menu had options available for folks seeking Gluten Free, too. Amelia's was decked out with modern, slightly edgy decor that was welcoming and exciting. Seating for wheelchair users could easily be accommodated by dining table chair removal. The Oracle Street location isn't huge, but the staff does a fantastic job getting folks in and you won't feel cramped. I could definitely see the place needing to expand due to popularity someday soon. Go and you won't regret it. This has made the list for returning to the next time we're in town!

Honestly, I wish I could give Yaquesita a little more, maybe half a star more, because this place definitely has potential. Their flavors are good, but compared to similar restaurants the menu feels a bit overpriced. For a party of three we ended up paying around $100, which felt like a bit much for what we got. The restaurant itself is pretty small with only about 3-4 tables inside, but the patio is a decent size and has a cute vibe. It's actually a nice option on cooler days if you don't mind sitting outside. Some items were better than others. The wet-style burrito was delicious and definitely a highlight. The quesabirrias were good, however the birria felt more like fancier shredded beef. It was missing that rich, spicy, slightly acidic, earthy flavor that usually sets birria apart from barbacoa or traditional shredded beef dishes. The bowl was just okay and had lots of lettuce. It felt more like a salad with a bit of meat, rice, and beans. Honestly, Chipotle does bowls better, and that says a lot considering the price. The nachos were good, but I've had better. Seis Kitchen has amazing nachos to share. That said, it's definitely a place I'd come back to mainly out of convenience, not because one particular item on the menu won my heart. I really do hope they continue refining the menu because the flavors are there and this place could easily become a standout spot. Personally I just think at the total price of my ticket other restaurants should not even have room in my mind during my meal. If you're in the area and looking for a safe bet where everyone will probably find something they like, it's worth giving them a try.
