Stopped by today in downtown Vallejo to switch my nose stud to a hoop. I called ahead, and they were super friendly and welcoming from the start. They had a nice selection of jewelry at fair prices, and they even swapped it out for free! Parking on the street was easy, which made things even more convenient. The shop is going through some renovations right now, so it was a little messy, but the owner apologized, and it didn't bother me at all because the great service made up for it. Back at Hot Ink! I came back 6 days after my roses were done by Austin. This time, Brandon worked on my upper arm piece. I showed up for our scheduled appointment at noon and he had created an amazing, cohesive piece that put together all of my random ideas that I threw at him. I was speechless at the design Brandon came up with and how wonderful everything was pulled together. Brandon made my ideas come to life and exceeded my already high expectations for his work. Brandon was such a talented and efficient artist, he completed my upper arm piece in just 3 hours. We were scheduled for a full day, but since he finished fast, he was very reasonable with pricing adjustment. Very very excited for my follow-up session with Brandon, so I'll be back once again. I couldn't be more happy with the work that he did. My second one was a tattoo with my Fiance, we got koi fish done. The koi fish came out amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better looking fish. I had a wonderful experience here. The shop is modern, beautifully decorated, and CLEAN. It smells clean in there, not in an off-putting way. There's also a tank of fish, which are lovely and clearly well taken care of. I saw this as a good sign. Pre-appointment was easy. I called the shop and was given the piercer's number so I could set up an appointment. A quick, professional chat later and I was in the shop. Again, the shop itself is great. I see why this place has 5-stars. I went to get my second hole re-pierced. I called and was able to get an appointment immediately (within 20 minutes). I worked with Bre/Bri. She was extremely knowledgeable. I was concerned since I had scar tissue when my piercing closed 13 to 15 years ago. Piercing was quick and the healing process has been even easier. I bought two bottles of this spray for piercing they sell. My piercing hasn't got irritated ever and it's been over 3 weeks. Also noticed customers that may have been regulars that were excited to see some of the people that worked there. She was very down to earth. Fun and easy to talk to. Was very gentle but still got my tattoo colored very well. I am very impressed. After doing research and posting my interest for a tattoo artist on Yelp, I got five or six different responses from shops from San Francisco to Vallejo. Based on those responses I reached out further to a few of them and found I was most satisfied with this place. It also happened to be the one closest to my house which was a positive but not a requirement. My heavily tattooed boyfriend was not so sure about me going here as he didn't have a good experience in the long long past but it didn't stop me from booking my appointment with Austin. Upon arriving the shop was super clean and everyone was friendly, really knew their stuff. My boyfriend was even very impressed and changed his opinion which is hard to do! Last Saturday I was looking for an appointment to have 2 forward helix re-pierced and a new earring for a tragus. I used the Yelp app to see who would have the next available appointment. I was contacted fairly quickly by Rio, And offered 2 different appointment times that day. When I arrived the shop was very clean and the clients were spaced out. To my surprise The piercings I needed were not fully closed, so Rio was able to get new earrings fit in with minimal discomfort. This was a major PLUS since the price is lower for just an earring. It's $60 for a new pricing w/earring ($120 for 2) and only $24 for the earring ($72 for 3). I would definitely recommend coming here and I will be back for my next piercing. read more

Had an ear lobe piercing done by Rio the owner, really chill guy and a great host. He apologized to us because we started our appointment 5 minutes late but no biggie as we totally understand shit happens!! All artists had masks and because I had to get my lobes pierced my mask had to come off for 2 minutes but Rio kept his mask on the whole time.
