What a disappointment! My husband bought me a gift certificate for $300 2 Christmas' ago. I had a balance of $89 today and they said the gift certificate expired. GIFT CERTIFICATES CAN'T EXPIRE! I have come to this salon a handful of times and recently went 11/13/25, I had Van (the owner) herself do my nails and I had a bad experience. Not only was I talked down to for doing my own nails and lashes but after she disappeared for 10 min I saw two techs standing not to far from me pointing an laughing at me (I was the only customer in the salon and person in that area). The nails themself were also less than okey, they were flat wide and had bubbles, they did not flow with my natural nails and looked like a duck bill, the white part of the French was also cured under my nails in a messy way. I wasn't going to leave a review until I started getting warts... never had them before, I follow proper hygiene when doing my own nails and never had them until I walked into that salon. I'm a homebody and have left my house 1 time since then, honestly am very disappointed, I removed them the next day. read more

Took my mom to Van's Nail & Spa for her first pedicure EVER! :) She was so comfortable she fell asleep in the chair. The nail tech was so kind that she noticed and didn't wake my mom. She let my mom sleep and doze off while she held the UV light at an angle since my mom's relaxed legs had tilted out a little. This gesture was so kind! Not to mention my mom's feet look amazing! The salon itself is beautiful and feels really luxurious. The staff were kind and they were super well staffed! I'm going to CRY. I accidentally booked an appointment at this place instead of my usual place in Maple Grove, but decided to try it out anyways. I got a pedicure and literally, it is AWFUL. I want to cry because I leave the country on Saturday and don't have time to redo them. They look horrible even from far away. I could have done a better job and I have zero nail experience. I should've looked at my nails closer before leaving! The gel is bumpy (she didn't take the gel I had off beforehand, just painted over it), there's spots that she missed completely, and overall it looks like someone doesn't know how to stay in the lines. TW: light blood in photo I was so upset with my experience at this salon. I did a walk in and they accommodated me well but as I got in the chair my nail tech proceeded to talk badly about the length and shape of my previous nails. I had pretty long acrylic stiletto nails that were my usual, and all I needed was a fill and two new ones. The whole time she kept talking about them being too long and sharp, when that's what I wanted. If you're looking for anything more than a French tip manicure, I wouldn't recommend!Aside from her judging my choices, a day later my nails got really bumpy in some places which wasn't a good look! Now a week later one of my nails just snapped off out of no where with barely any pressure! Not sure what's going on with this place. But i was told to pick a color for my nails out of a basket of sample colors. I repeatedly said I didn't want a gel, dip, or acrylic manicure. When I found the color I wanted they sat me down and gave me a color that was not what I wanted. My manicure was rushed and the manicurist did not cut cuticles nor did she push them down. Then she started to polish and didn't run nail polish remover before starting. My nails are starting to look bumpy. I won't be going back to this place. read more

My manicurist didn't use cuticle oil or remover on my real nails. I had to show her my cuticles 5 times and mention it/ my toes look awful and I had sharp edges on my nails. And my big toe nail is completely slanted and not even straight This is not what I wanted today. The manicurist also did not have me wash my hands a second time after she filed causing bubbles - I won't be back ever again. I just wasted my money on a crappy manicure and pedicure with my cuticles still a mess and my feet look bad with polish on my skin. Really? I'm sad - this was supposed to be a huge treat for me but yet I was stressed and my manicurist just laughed when I pointed out what was wrong. read more

This was my first time at vans. Me and my two friends were walk ins on a Sunday. We asked for 2 gel extensions​ and 1 regular manicure, but received 2 manicures and a set of acrylics despite repeating over and over what we wanted done. One of my friends who received the manicure had scratches all across their nails up to a week after we had been to Van's. The other who received a manicure had their polish chipping off the day after we went. I had asked for regular polish and the lady insisted I get gel polish to make it last longer and since I was getting my nails done for my engagement pictures. Its only been a week and 3 days and 2 of the acrylics have already broken or popped off completely. I got a gel pedicure. I used a gift card I was given last year to pay this time. They told me the card does not work with their new system and told me I would have to pay with a credit card. I told them they need to honor their gift card even if it is not up to date. They attempted several times to make me pay out of my own money, claimed the card had $41 when there was $50. I have been here before but this time was very unprofessional and tacky. it was also as if the technician was on a time frame because she kept looking at the clock . I will not not be back. Have been a regular customer here, even bringing my grand-daughter with me once a month to get manicures and/ or pedicures. The last two times we have been here for dip manicures we had the same two people. Each time one of us ended up with a terrible manicure that only lasted one week before the top coat started pealing and looking chipped. Then we realized we both had the same employee when this occurred. Now, I called to have it removed after two weeks due to the issue and found out they are going to charge $15. When I told her I wanted it removed earlier than my normal manicure timing because the top cost was pealing and I tried to remove it myself but really couldn't, nope still $15. I have to pay again to remove their mistake!!! Hung up and will not be going back. Very disappointed that they were not even interested in finding out where the poor quality was coming from and trying to make it right instead of blowing it off. read more

I was looking for a nail salon in MG for a last minute pedicure. On the fourth try, I found Van's Nails. When I got there (30 minutes after they opened) there were already 8 people getting pedicures... Anny was assigned to me and I couldn't have been happier! She took her time, didn't rush, and over an hour later my legs were relaxed, feet pampered and my toes looks superb! I'll definitely be back. read more

very upset. I went with my mom, sister, and a friend. I wasn't necessarily paying attention to my pedicure or manicure just trying to have a relaxing time. After I left, I realized my nails were the wrong color. I didn't realize I had to pay attention to make sure I was getting the color I had actually asked for. On top of that, during my full set, I kept requesting my nails to be shorter and more round, they came out to be a lot longer than I expected/wanted and square shape. I could have continued to correct the girl doing my nails but after a few times of saying something and nothing changing, I was just ready to leave. I am very happy to recommend this nail salon. The owner Van is a very smart business woman who knows about customer service and treating your guests nicely goes along way. Benjamin always greets guests at the front with a smile and helps around the salon to make sure everything is great. Van is exceptional at doing nails, all of these pictures are her work. I've also had many pedicures and manicures by the other technicians and they are all wonderful. I also really appreciate the calm Spa Music instead of TV background noise that you hear in some salons. I won't go anywhere else! read more

Van did my nails and they were amazing! I've never had my nails look so perfect! She is a true artist. I showed my daughter (17) and she thought the same thing, she couldn't wait to go. She also had Van do her nails but apparently Van had more important things to do, left my daughter sitting there waiting for her to do a little of her nail and check on other things throughout her session. Van also would not do designs on her nails. She said she was too busy!!! And then my daughters nail snapped off getting her shoe on and Van didn't redo the nail, she just added it on top of the acrylic and repainted. My daughter just got home and the nail is lifting off her finger. I thought I found a new amazing nail place. But if the owner doesn't appreciate all of her paying customers, no matter how young, she will not get our business again. read more

I originally gave this place 5 stars the first time I came, but I'm going to have to bump it down to 2 stars after I've come a few more times. Most recently, I got my nails done last week. I got a full set of acrylic nails for my vacation! I was super excited to have my nails done & look good in Denver. So I made an appt, and got there on time. It was fine in the beginning. I sat down, and a woman started on my nails. About 15-20 minutes into it, another customer came in. She apparently made an appt specifically with the person currently doing my nails. This caused the nail tech to rush. She left me to go start on the other woman's nails, and came back and forth. While I completely get stuff like this happens, I would've been completely fine if my nails had turned out good. Unfortunately, this led to my nails being crooked, there being visible bubbles in the polish, literal chunks of glue and acrylic being left under my nails, and my finger being cut. With all of that, I still thanked them, tipped generously and figured at least I had some sort of nails to go on vacation with.... But just kidding, my nails actually apparently weren't glued down well at all, and alllllllllll TEN of my nails came off within 5 days of getting them done. The first 3 coming off within the first 2 days. I know it was a glue problem, because I literally didn't even notice they fell off! A new set of acrylic nails, done only 2 days ago? You would KNOW if you had hit it on something and ripped it off. Nope, I literally just looked down and one would be gone lol. Worth $60+? I don't think so. I won't be back. read more

I've been to Van's twice now and have had a great experience both times. The staff is very friendly and they maintain a clean and welcoming atmosphere. During my recent visit I opted for a gel manicure and the Firewalker Pedicure as a post-BWCA treat. Joey did my manicure and she did an incredible job of copying an accent nail design I found online! Alice did my pedicure and it's one of the best I've ever had! I would highly recommend this place and look forward to visiting here again. Very nice experience at Van's nail salon! I went in without an appointment, and found out they were closed. A very nice accommodating woman named Tila said, "No problem, come back." It was amazingly clean with no nail salon smells. The massage chairs are very nice, clean, and looked brand new. Feeling guilty I came in after hours, I said short time pedicure. Tila said it was okay and pick whichever you'd like. I picked the fire pedicure and it did not disappoint on a cold day. Tila used a plastic insert to ensure clean foot bowl and all new scrubbers and files - very safe. Had a great conversation with Tila, even though it was after hours she did not hurry, she was extremely thorough and present with me. It was the best massage pedicure I've ever had! I couldn't believe how much time and detail she put in. They use Nuskin products which smells amazing- I'll be heading back for the lotion she put on the bottom on my feet- they are so soft - which is epic this time of year. I highly recommend Kelly (specifically). She is very attentive, takes time to remove polish correctly (to not further harm your nails), and is very good at a manicure and pedicure, plus has a very nice, warm demeanor. I've had other manicures here, but she is the one I specifically recommend and certainly has skills above the rest. The salon itself is clean and Van jersey is super involved in running the business exceptionally well. Easy to get in plus they have the NuSkin product which is great!! read more
