Both my older son and I thought this sounded amazing so we stopped in on a Friday night to try it. We both got fries for our side. The burger was great as expected. Breading and deep frying the lasagna helped prevent it from being a mess and they added enough marinara to give it flavor without overpowering anything. The fries were lightly salted, but were otherwise just boring, plain potato. Apparently 6pm on a Friday is a horrible time to visit Brazen Head Pub if you want to be seated in a reasonable timeframe. My son and I stood there for at least 20 minutes watching a table that was done eating and the gentleman and his credit card in hand, ready to pay if someone would ever stop and give him his bill. While this was going on, another couple at the bar finished their food and sat there for at least 10 minutes waiting for their check. It's almost as if the employees had no desire to turnover tables even with a line at the door including and behind us. There were three people bartending/waiting tables so they had plenty of coverage given the smaller size of the place. At one point, closer to the end of our meal, one of the bartenders looked at my son and I and asked "are you guys good?" as he was literally walking away from us and I was holding up an empty soda glass to show him I'd like a refill. Oddly, he gave me a thumbs up and kept going. I don't even know what to make of that other than poor service. The music that was playing was excessively loud. If it was a live band, I'd get it, that's part of the show and I wouldn't complain. For random music on speakers to drown out all conversations unless you're yelling, that's dumb.

The fixed up the street and sidewalks, have angled parking, and the lighting a nice. It's a real treat to be able to walk in this area of small shops and businesses. No stripmalls or big box stores. Very nice city planning! Came with a couple of friends, around 11:30. The Brazen Head Pub is one of many bars and restaurants in this area. This pub is pretty typical layout. It's long and narrow, a little dark (lighting and wood), has a long bar, and then a few high top tables. There is one larger table towards the rear that holds 6 people. Since there were 3 of us, we grabbed a high-top and stole a chair from the next table. (we had 4 people, not sure what we would have done). There was only one person (John) running all the table and managing the bar, and a couple of people in the small kitchen. John (our server) got to us after a short wait. Got our drinks and order placed right away. We ordered some Cheese Nuggets (white cheddar curds) and 3 different burgers. You can either "build your own" or order the standard "Brazen Head Beer Cheese Burger". The curds came out almost instantly. They were hot, with a side of ranch. They were good (not great, a little too much breading for my tastes). We waited a bit for the biggers, but they ended up being worth the wait. All were made perfectly to order, hot, lots of flavor, and very good portions. The Brazen Head Burger was tall, but manageable. The different elements were distinct and complementary. The cheese sauce had a big of a tang. The fries were okay, but could have been hotter. While we were there, the place filled up. Lots of other small groups, some at the long bar. With the additional people it got to be pretty noisy, to the point that it was hard to have a conversation. It didn't help that there was a speaker, right over the tables, with loud music. With only one person running all the tables, after our food came out, it was difficult to get our servers attention. Extra napkins and getting our check was a challenge. The experience was mixed. Definitely a place to get an amazing burger, cooked perfectly to order. However, the noise and the service (due to their popularity) was a bit lacking. My server/bartender was attentive and very welcoming. A solid selection of taps, cans/bottles and your standard offering of booze. They do have a menu of different old fashioneds for those inclined. Their menu is your standard pub options-appetizers, pizza, wings, burgers, sandwiches, and fish on Fridays. I opted for one of their daily specials-steak sandwich. I opted for the upgrade for the side of fries that came with and selected the pickle chips. I am glad I did as they are some of the best I have tasted in quite sometime. Thinly sliced, they were perfectly fried with a thin batter that didn't hide the flavor of the pickle. The sandwich also hit the mark-tender steak nestled between a ciabatta bun. It was great. Highly recommend checking out Sauer's-a solid pub with some great food.

I also ordered an ice water which was almost undrinkable. At least invest in a faucet filter, guys. The homemade chips with garlic cream cheese were very good, though. At the end of the meal, the waitress brought our check, but then came and took it away from us because she forgot to add the beer my spouse ordered because their water had such a bad taste. Since she had already dropped the ball so many times, this could have been an opportunity to extend a gesture of good will and give it to him on the house, but alas. In addition, they have kind of a snotty little sign in the entrance demanding you wipe your feet as if you're a child, and they proudly display that they do not offer any service for their ample patio seating. I called in an order to go for a four piece cod dinner with seasoned waffle fries and cheese curds as an appetizer. Unlike so many other restaurants that serve crappy cornmeal breaded cheese curds that don't get crunchy and retain too much grease, the cheese curds at Nuckleheadz are true breaded cheese curds that get perfectly crunchy. I wish every every restaurant would serve the right kind like Nuckleheadz does, but I guess that's one of the things that makes Nuckleheadz special. Speaking of special, I LOVE it when the breading on fish has herbs and/or spices mixed in. It just gives the fish a little something extra. The herbs that Nuckleheadz puts in the batter they use on their cod (maybe their other fish too, I'm not sure) are phenomenal. I'm not usually big on cod, but I'm big on their cod because of it. Seasoned waffle fries are the king of all fries so that was a no-brainer. The weekly specials they post on social media often intrigue me and the hangover hash appetizer sounds fantastic (tater tots covered with bacon, nacho cheese, shredded cheese, and fried eggs), so I look forward to ordering that the next time I dine-in on a day that isn't Friday and I can't wait to get the fish fry again on a Friday with the best cheese curds around.

Finally after 15 minutes she brings menus over and asks what we want to drink. We order and since it wasn't soda from the gun, she turns and while walking away said "I can't make those. It takes too long. These other people are all in their lunch break". Believe me, we didn't order muddled mojitos and it wouldn't have taken long to make. But aliens don't get lunch breaks I guess. We can afford to kill two hours at a pub and grill. Ok cool, we wait while she brings drinks to the 5 tables (I give her credit, she was hustling) and then disappears into the kitchen for some reason. At that point we realized the aliens were never going to be served so after what has now been 20 minutes + after we sat down, we got up and left. Not before we got some evil eyes like "how dare you leave". If you're a regular, great. You've found a spot. If you're an alien, find another planet to land on and hopefully get served.

The side salad dressing was a house made cherry balsamic that was very tasty. The wrap was also OK, i've had better buffalo chicken wraps. I think it would be better if they'd make it crispy vs. grilled. Last but not least, my sister was celebrating her 40th birthday and they brought out a free birthday sunday which was a really sweet offering. It was still raining so I found us an Uber ride and away we went. I thought this place was pretty cool because of several things. Once we walked in we were greeted with a friendly smile; seating was down the stairs to a large open room with a long bar and a multitude of tables and seats; the decor was a lot of wood and it made me feel immediately comfortable. A great start! Our server was Jadye. She was very polite, friendly and helpful. She explained the specials, and the different drinks. When I inquired about an amber ale she let me try their "Main Street Amber Ale". It was a winner and so that was my chosen drink of the night. For my meal I ordered their wings - 6 Mango Habanero and 6 Thai Chili. We also split some beer battered cheese curds. Everything was delicious - with a special shout out to Wisconsin cheese curds! I had never had cheese curds before and these were spectacular!! Jayde checked on us throughout our meal and when she learned that we had ridden from Florida to Milwaukee for HD's 120th Homecoming she offered some great suggestions we might like to check out. Excellent wings, amazing cheese curds, great drinks, superb service, and comfortable surroundings made for a very enjoyable time to finish a long day. Check this place out!
