We got hot wok to go and were very pleased. Their wonton and egg drop soups were very tasty. My girlfriend and I also got Kung POW chicken and and sesame chicken. They were both great as well.

Hot Wok did not disappoint!! We ordered takeout recently and were really pleased with the overall cost, timeliness, and most importantly, taste! We'll certainly be ordering from Hot Wok again in the future. Loved my Kung Pao dish and wonton soup!

Okay either I was in the wrong building or everyone who gave this place a good review hasn't had good Chinese food before. No offense but this place was just gross! I started with crab ragoons because I love them, I did not love these! The filling tasted like garlic (not what I was expecting) and the outside was just way to thick. I ordered sesame chicken because the picture on the menu looked good, bad choice again. The sauce was a light orange to yellow color instead or the brown it should be and it tasted weird. The poor girl working was answering two lines on the phone and waiting on all the tables, she was way to busy. She was trying her best but it was just to much for one person. I do not plan on going back to this place but I always say try things yourself before listening to others. I hope you have a better experience then I did.

Stopped in this little restaurant today for lunch. It's primarily Chinese cuisine, but also has some Thai, Japanese and Korean influences. It's in a new strip center behind the Wal Mart in Ft. Wright. Clean, comfortable place with table service and take out available. Lots of menu choices; we had Schezuan Shrimp and Kung Pao Chicken. Each was served with choice of white or fried rice. Both were very tasty and had many fresh vegetables: zucchini, mushrooms, baby corn, onions, etc. The Kung Pao Chicken also contained peanuts which my husband didn't particularly care for, but I thought it was fine. The bill for two lunch entrees, a water and an iced tea was only $12.50. Very reasonable, I thought. We were plenty full. One of the owners stopped by to make sure everything was ok and she said they own a few other locations in Northern Kentucky: First Wok in Erlanger, Asian Wok in Cold Spring and Golden Wok in Burlington. According to their web site, they have been in the restaurant business locally since 1995.

Wow wow wow! That was some flavorful, delicious Chinese food -- and with a fun, funky ambiance!…read more We were seated quickly at one of 2 open tables on a rainy Thursday evening. Ordered green tea, a Jade Dynasty cocktail and pot stickers to enjoy while we perused the menu (including the picture book!). The pot stickers were delicious! More like meatballs inside, served with a I-don't-know-what-this-is-but-it's-delicious sauce. We ordered and were pretty quickly delivered our mains: How Fun noodles (level 2 spice) with chicken and Pepper Beef (level 3 spice). Both were outstanding! The sauces on both were savory and delicious. The noodles were great - not slimy like they can sometimes be but firm yet delicate. The chicken was tasty. The pepper beef was tangy and tender with a nice balance of peppers and onions. Serving sizes big enough for lunch the next day. Vibrant decor made the place really feel alive and servers were friendly and efficient. We found street parking but I assume this part of Covington gets busy on weekend nights so allow a few minutes to find a spot. Bonus tip: stop at DelGardo's down the street and get a couple cannoli for dessert. Perfect end to a delicious meal!

Restaurant was crowded but we were sat immediately. Service was good - not super attentive but we were able to order quickly. I had to ask for more water throughout the meal and then they brought checks and boxes before we asked while we were still eating. We ordered the dumplings, orange chicken and how fun noodles. They have a spicy scale of 1-10, I opted for the 5 on the how fun noodles, and they were spicy!! Made me wonder what a 10 would taste like. Dumplings were good - though the bottom broke on them while we were eating them. Definitely homemade! My daughter loved the orange chicken / it also had cucumbers which she didn't love. My noodles were okay - nothing memorable in terms of flavor and very spicy. Overall a bright, well themed restaurant but I don't think I'd go back for the food.

You're also not paying an ambiance tax here - and the menu reflects it. The pork snout was really good and the bok choy was delicious too! We planned to order off of their lunch menu, and split a bowl of noodles for her birthday. Chinese tradition is to eat noodles on birthdays, so we asked the server what she recommended. She told us they actually offer complimentary birthday noodles! We were so surprised; we'd never heard of anywhere doing that before. We ordered the Twice-Cooked Pork Lunch, Fish with Chili Bean Sauce Lunch, and the Birthday Noodles. With lunch, we were allowed to select an egg roll, egg drop soup, or hot and sour soup. We both opted for the hot and sour soup. Even without the complimentary noodles, this meal was incredibly well-priced at $10.99 per lunch special. High quality dishes with plenty of meat and fresh vegetables. The noodles were simple but larger than expected, well-cooked, and delicious. My mom raved about this place. She hasn't had quality Chinese food at that price in a long time, and is telling all of our family members that we should go back when they're in town. It wasn't very busy, but we hope it was just the weather. Hopefully lots of people are supporting them! We can't wait to go back.
