I returned to Quebec Gardens after nearly 40 years. The food is excellent. The prices are in line. Alas, renovations have removed the charm quite a bit. Plain walls, Faux News on the TV. No music. Just tables and chairs. The food was fast and hot. Service was excellent. We'll likely return. We always try to support local family run places as much as possible. read more

My wife and I ate there yesterday evening,07/10/2026, a little after 6:00 pm. The reviews I read sounded pretty good. We were the only two customers in the restaurant. They did have one or two carry out orders. The Fried wonton appetizer was excellent, The rest of the food was good, not great. My wife's noodles with shrimp was good. But my szeschuan scallops were only OK, but not great. The price was very good and the service was as well. But with no other customers, I would expect good service. We had plenty of food and both took home 1/2 of the meal. They do not serve alcohol, and that may be an issue for some. There were several televisions on with one having the volume up loud enough for us to hear. It was tuned to a news station. Neither of us care to have a television on when eating. It is unfortunate that the neighborhood has deteriorated over the years. That may hurt them. There was a group of us, friends, that used to eat there around 30 to 40 years ago when they had huge crowds of customers. Not so now. The building is in need of a major do over. I do not know how long the restaurant was closed, and the building shows the lack of attention. The 3 star rating is due to the condition of the building and parking lot. The food was easily a 4 star. All in all it was a good meal and served relatively quickly. read more

QG is a historic location of a 1980s and 1990s favorite when it comes to family style Chinese cuisine. The menu and recipes are all wonderful, but unfortunately the general ambiance is not much to be seen. Service was good and food came out hot and ready to eat! Very good. We just tried this place and it was good. There's an extensive menu including Thai, wings, curry, subs, ribs and appetizers We ordered Chicken Low Mien. It had lots of chicken. I had a Szechuan Shrimp Combo 5 or 6 large shrimp) with an egg roll, fried rice and egg drop soup. Both dishes came with fortune cookies. They let me omit the green pepper. The food was quickly done. Veggies were crisp tender and it was all tasty. Service was friendly. Prices were about average but they have daily specials and smaller dinners, too. We'll be back read more

A group of friends dined at Quebec Gardens on a Saturday night. The food was terrific. I'm posting 7 photos! The servings were big, the food was hot and fresh and the service was good. I ordered the Yellow Curry and it was such a huge portion I took half of it home, but it was delicious. The prices are so reasonable. It was not busy, which is sad. Restaurants operate on tight margins. The atmosphere is very plain. A little music in the background and dimmer lighting would help. But it worked for us because we could easily talk to each other without screaming over other guests and loud music. If you are looking for excellent food, you won't be disappointed. read more

We decided to check it out tonight. It was nice to see the place cleaned up, but I miss the old decor. It seemed like only one guy was working, so service was kind of slow, and food was slow to come out of the kitchen. We ordered a couple of appetizers and a few items off the menu. Everything was very good with good portion sizes for the money. The drinks tasted funny and they should have someone come and look at their soda machine. This is the worst Chinese food..... I thought I was getting Authentic Chinese Food, but , instead I got Garbage . Wonton soup , no taste at all Peppered chicken , no taste , rubber chicken , fried rice ( omg ) for all Didn't eat and the restaurant people could care less , they just wanted their money read more

I'm really glad this place re-opened, and, they have good and reasonably priced standard Chinese and Thai selections. The fried rice really doesn't have anything in it, and the spring roll seemed to be strictly cabbage inside, but the entrees were very good, and the vegetables nice and fresh. Hopefully they'll fix up a bit more and not have supplies sitting out where you see them, and, they could use a better radio station rather than quite a bit of hard rock while we were there. I'll definitely go again, though --- have wanted someone to open up there for a long time. read more

I stopped on the way home for dinner. I did not order ahead but the food was ready quickly. I was told my food would be ready in 10 minutes. They were correct. When I got home and prepared to eat, I was happy to see the portion was a good size. The General's Chicken was terrific. The fried rice was good, too. I will be stopping again soon! read more

From what I understand, the original Quebec Gardens started out over a hundred years ago as one of Cincinnati's German Beer Gardens (that was actually a Wine Garden) that sold wine made from grapes grown on the surrounding hills back when that part of town was still considered the countryside. Then I remember it as a little girl as a popular restaurant known for miles around owned by a local businessman that hosted the meetings of many local philanthropic organizations in its numerous "room" such as the toastmasters. His name was Ed Raugh. At that time it served quality steaks, ribs and the like. Then in the late 90's I remember it retaining the same name although reinventing itself yet again as a Chinese restaurant that was well respected and served quality Chinese faire. For many years this place has remained closed as the surrounding community readjusted and has recently reopened again the the form of a Chinese (most regional styles seem to be represented on the menu) as well as Thai restaurant. How could I resist a visit to a place so rich in local cultural history? It did not disappoint. I am so happy for its return and recommend it for anyone who might go. The egg rolls are a special treat. Welcome back Quebec Gardens and a great thanks to those who brought it back. I noticed when I was there that they seemed to be building outdoor dining section centered around a trellis. It would be a great place to go and enjoy the eclectic faire of a glass of wine with your favorite Chinese dish. I can't wait to go again. read more

The food was good. It's the atmosphere that kind of ruins it. The outside needs some sprucing up. The inside needs some attention. It's not dirty at all. It just looks like there was no attention to decor at all. You feel like you're in someone's basement. The people working were very nice. Again, the food was fine. And to be fair, they were only open a couple days when we went. There's definitely kinks to work out: decor, atmosphere, put condiments on the tables, instead of Hoosiers playing on the rv, go on YouTube and put on Asian scenery. Update the inside and outside of the restaurant. We need a truly GOOD Asian eatery on this side of town. With a little bit of effort, this could be it. We'll go back in a couple months. Generals chickens was excellent! Very unique taste. Not the typical overly sweet generic Generals Tsos chicken you usually get from many Chinese restaurants. Staff was friendly and the building is very nostalgic for the Quebec Gardens. Highly recommend!!!! read more

I was so excited for this restaurant to open and it did not disappoint. I love Chinese food but l've been disappointed by many. Quebec gardens did not disappoint. My mom got yellow Thai curry with tofu and a side of garlic broccoli. I got the house tofu with cheese wontons. Both were amazing. The curry was the best dish, both sweet and spicy, just perfect. great service, the staff was incredibly friendly. I cannot wait to see what this restaurant becomes. read more

I love both Thai and Chinese food. I do not easily brag about food or leave reviews. This was the best food I have ever had. My family and I shared dishes and we had several things to try. Everything was fantastic, the portions were generous and we were all impressed. The service was great and friendly. This is my new favorite. read more

I don't mean to be critical, but the food was not good. The vegetable egg rolls were greasy and very bland. I ordered Chicken Pad Thai, and it too was very bland and tasteless. The rice portion of the Sweet Basil was gummy, and gummy rice is usually a tell-all. It seemed that whoever was in the kitchen was not really skilled, as they could not make everything on the menu. It seems there was an urgency to reopen the restaurant, as the place is in need of help and a lot of repairs. I realize the place hasn't been open long, and I plan to give them another try once they get on the way. However, I hope they hire skilled workers who can season well and can cook everything on the menu. On a good note...the staff were extremely friendly. That's all the reason to go back. read more
