I have tried hot yoga once before and it was amazing for me. I have debated trying this studio out for a few months but then I started going through some personal and work related stresses and was in need of a healthy release so I decided to go for it. They have a $99 first time student intro offer so this was perfect for me. My first class here was the Wednesday 60 min hot yoga candlelight and it was just what I needed at the first time. I'm not a huge sweater but with all the stresses I was dealing with and the amazing teacher I was covered in sweat and felt so relieved after my first class. I immediately enrolled in the Saturday 90 min class. Now that I've been coming for about 3 weeks I have seen improvement in my flexibility and have been managing my stress level tremendously. I have been doing the weekly candlelight and 90 day Saturday classes. I will update once I am able to attend the Monday yin and Saturday Pilates classes but I've been told both classes are great as well. I have attended classes from all 3 teachers and though their styles vary slightly I have felt amazing after classes with each 3. There are locker rooms to leave your personal belongings while in classes and clean showers and restrooms. Which is a huge plus. The owner is amazingly supportive and encouraging as well. read more

Wish I could go more often I genuinely enjoy the time I am able to spend here. If you've never been be sure to bring a towel for on top of your yoga mat, a yoga mat, and your water bottle. If you want a shower afterwards, bring a towel and a comb. They have soap in the the showers & locks on the lockers. One of my favorite classes is the Wednesday evening 60-minute Yin. The classes here are great. The problem is during a time frame when they cancelled all classes due to water damage from a roof cave in during a storm, I was still being charged weekly. That is extremely alarming and not ok for a business to do... How disappointing. For this reason, I will never return. My wife and I have recently ventured down the path of inner enlightenment. I don't mean this as a farce or to poke fun of the saying; I mean it with sincerity: We have ventured down the path of practicing yoga and diving deeper into our meditations daily. When Yelp was able to partner up for Sept for the campaign of "Yelp does Yoga" we were attentive and ecstatic to attend these events! The nearest Bikram Yoga (hot yoga) was only a 15-minute drive away from our home, which made it even harder to pass up. I'd say for a full class parking is pretty limited, so arrive early for any class you do attend! That being said, we both agree that this was a fun and mind-bending experience. (The best part of yoga is pushing your mind to control and understand the limitations of your body) - I could go on for the benefits of yoga, but I'll keep it simple with just a review of Bikram Yoga Kapolei. Two great teachers (Matthias & Patricia) and doctors are friendly and enthusiastic in their instructions. The practice itself was a bit intermediate, to a degree, but I digress as yoga is for all, from beginner to advanced. We definitely got our sweat on! The specialized Infrared heater aided in burning calories and really feeling the true burn that we all either hate or embrace. I felt great afterward and even better: I slept like a baby. I'm pretty active in my day to day routine from surfing, working out, and staying busy throughout the day but this Bikram Yoga knocked me out cold. Waking up the next morning was rejuvenating as I felt more alive and flexible to take on the day. Bikram Yoga is run by Bikram-certified teachers who use a standardized dialogue to run the class that consists of a series of 26 postures, including two breathing exercises, in a recommended temperature of a minimum of 105F degrees and about 40% humidity. I don't know about the rest of you, but completing the 90 minute bikram yoga session is a freaking accomplishment in my book. Yes, I'm putting it right up there with mountain summits and half marathons. The first time I tried it, my motivation was for the promised brunch at Moena Café with friends. I did not love it. I decided to give it a second go at the Mililani location and that time went better although my emotions still yoyo-ed from love to hate to defeat and ending with feeling quite accomplished. Still, I felt it wasn't for me. Then the studio closed. On a whim, I decided to drop into a new Kapolei studio and third time must be a charm, because I am inspired. The instructor was excellent and kept the class at a good pace and engaged. I didn't once wonder, when the heck is this going to be over??? I think bikram yoga will always be challenging for me, but that's why I love it. The facilities here are great! They have showers (and boy are you going to need one) and lockers with keys provided - which is a really nice touch! If you are new to bikram, all you need is a mat, towel for your mat, and water. Be prepared to sweat, but don't let it distract you. Sweating is your body's way of cooling down. Arrive to the studio early to secure a space so you can see yourself in the mirror. I found this really helpful in getting my poses right. Getting used to the heat was difficult, but I decided it was more of a mental thing that I had to overcome. Also, there is some yoga etiquette to remember: no cell phones and no talking in the studio. read more

Unless you engage in moderate and consistent exercise, are hydrated, eat healthy, well-balanced meals, can get out of your head, have amazing willpower, can endure holding postures in a 105 degree Fahrenheit room for approx 10 seconds, Bikram Yoga might be challenging for you like it was for me! Luckily, I love a challenge. It wasn't my first time getting my Bikram on, but after a year, it sure felt like it. After we completed the standing poses and rested for a short while, I was thinking that I couldn't go on, but I kept on trying & pushing myself more & more each time. I think what really stands out for me is that I felt supported, which was probably easier to do for the instructors based on the class size. I bought a groupon for a month of unlimited classes, but unfortunately I could only go twice (traffic really screwed me, but that's life). I do fully intend to purchase a class pack in the near future because I really did enjoy the classes. Hopefully 7pm classes are in their near future. I'd for sure make it to those :) And before I forget, other positives: beautiful and clean studio, ample parking, showers, lockers with keys at no charge, and the cherry on top... For Christmas my boyfriend got me that new student unlimited week pass which was $25 (I think the special may have ended, check their website!). Loved that it was on the west side that way I don't have to drive all the way to town. I was pretty nervous going in because I hadn't taken yoga in about 6 months and I've never done Bikram Yoga before. The facility was clean and nice, the owners are super friendly and helpful. I brought a yoga mat, mat towel, towel for my face and my hyrdoflask (I SWEAT A LOT) but they do have rentals and they also sell Hydroflasks there! I felt like it was my first day of school, I went in on a Sunday after a night of drinking (lulz), the room was already hot so I laid down to avoid being all self-conscious haha. That first class was hard for me but the owners told me that my only goal is to stay in the room for that 90 mins. OH btw totes forgot the classes are 90 MINS!!!!!!!!!! For the first bit I was ok, I was sweating, drinking water, trying to wake up my muscles then when that hour rolled around I was trying to see in the mirror reflection if there was a clock that could show me the time and I was just DYING. The next 10 minutes I was having a fight with my brain and body, trying to convince each other to get out of the class or stay. It really was mentally challenging and when we did the last couple of poses and finished the sequence, the owners came in with these ice cold eucalyptus/chamomile smelling towels and LEMME TELL YOU, putting that small ass towel on my neck and face made that 90 mins totally worth it. Bathrooms are clean, they have soap shampoo/conditioner which is really convenient and they also have lockers with keys! THRILLED that there is a Bikram studio in Kapolei!!! I loved going before I had kids but have a very challenging time fitting in workouts, let alone a Bikram session. (90 minutes plus you really need to shower and pretty up after if you will be going anywhere unless you don't mind looking like a drowned rat.) The teacher was awesome - great amount of energy and talking without being annoying. Facility was pristine. Bathrooms were clean, had a couple showers, and ample locker space (no need to bring your own locks). The lavender scented chilled towel they present you with during your last savasana is such a sensational touch. The only downside is that the floor is not carpeted. It does seem cleaner that way but not as comfortable a carpeted studios. read more

I've been practicing Bikram yoga for a year at another studio & always curious to see how other studios were like. I took advantage of their Lululemon Trunk Show & their FREE class and really glad I went! I'm not used to their infrared heating system & was really struggling during class. It was a different heat than I'm used to than at my other studio. I really liked the cleanliness of the studio. They clean the floors after each class which is important in a Bikram studio! Signing up was very easy & showed me a tour of their beautiful studio. The owners were very friendly & remembered my name as I was leaving. I had Plantar Fasciitis in my right foot for a good 5 years. I have been doing Bikram Yoga in Kapolei for a good 12 months. One day the pain in my right foot went away. I was happy to be pain free. One day in Yoga class, I heard Matthias mention the Awkward Pose where you stand on your toes and lean back and sit down with your arms stretched out was good for Plantar Fasciitis. I just then realized how the pain went away after 3 months and my foot was healed. I saw 3 doctors over the years and one of them gave me an injection years before but that helped for about 2 weeks. I have just been healing all my aches and pain with Bikram Yoga, reversing the aging process. I see so many older people and think, I was like that before. I am healthier now I would say then when I was 20 years younger. Yoga works and HOT YOGA I say works the best. read more

Never tried hot yoga until today and it was so worth it! First off the parking is slim but the studio itself is very clean and comfy. The owner was super informative and very calming. FYI bring a big and little towel, yoga mat and plenty of water. The big towel goes over your mat for the puddles of sweat you drop and the little towel to dry your face and hands during the session. The room gets pretty hot so add ice to your water to keep it from being to warm to drink. Overall it was worth the try and I will be back to the studio again. read more

My co-workers talked me into trying a Bikram Yoga class and admittingly I was extremely nervous about trying it. I don't drink water and I hate to sweat. I was persuaded by purchasing an 8-class Groupon which effectively has been one of my favorite deals. I have met Mathias once or twice, but all 8 classes have been with Patricia who I ADORE. She is so sweet in person and encouraging during class. What I really appreciate is she does not push you in class to do something you are not ready to do. She also walks around class and will correct your posture (but in a gentle manner). The studio is beautiful, the classes I attend are usually small (maybe 10 people at most) and the showers / lockers are well designed and functional. Just bring an extra pair of rubber slippers to keep in the locker for showering as we are not allowed to wear shoes past the reception desk. I am an ICU nurse who works a 12 hour night shift from 6p - 6a and I still attend the 9am class. That is how much I enjoy attending these sessions. This studio and its instructors are top notch. It is beautifully appointed with spotless locker rooms and showers that include body wash and shampoo. Also a key lock can be used if you want but I don't think you need it with such a nice group of yogis! Each instructor I experienced was either awesome, dynamic, challenging, loving, methodical, informative ... Choose your own adjective after taking class! Truly a gem of a place ... You will not be sorry to start your yoga journey here. Of course hydrate well in advance, bring your towel and mat though they have those items to rent there. Also know that the heat is infrared and that makes the heat way less intense and more naturally felt in my opinion. The floor is bamboo and that is so awesome. My very first Hot Yoga experience was awesome!! This facility was clean, quiet, staff was excellent in greeting and explaining in detail what to expect and how to overcome ur goals! I absolutely loved it! They catered to me and my friends techniques as we're learning. I have been to many hot yoga studios, but this one takes the cake! The facility is brand new, spacious, and clean. My favorite part of the studio was the locker room! Lockers have keys already in them for customer convenience. There are also 3 showers in addition to the bathroom area. The hot room itself has mirrors, lots of room, and has a special kind of heat control that makes it feel more dry so I found it easier to breathe while still being incredibly hot (106 was the temp). The owners are really friendly and teach the classes as well. The cold, scented oil towels at the end are a refreshing, relaxing way to end an amazing class. If it's your first time, get there early and make sure you check on where to park. Lastly, they have an intro rate of 7 days unlimited for $25- Awesome deal:) Finally a nice yoga studio on the west side! read more

I have been going to this yoga studio for about a month now. I'm so impressed, I'm actually nervous about going anywhere else because I do not want to be disappointed. The facility is always clean (the studio and bathrooms). Lockers are convenient. I have had classes with 3 different instructors, and each of them does an amazing job. Fortunately, each student takes the class seriously which allows you to really focus on yourself without any distractions. It allows me to have those 90 minutes to only focus on myself and not worry about anything else going on in my life. The energy is great. I have recommended this class to everyone I know, but I do warn them. It is going to be a struggle the first time. My body was not used to the heat at all. But I stuck with it. A month later... 90 minutes feels like 45 and the heat doesn't bother me at all. It's actually refreshing. I have noticed that classes are really packed on the weekends, so get there early. I prefer going to classes during the week. Oh, and for those that are experienced, they offer a silent candle-light class on Fridays at 6pm. I have yet to try it, but I'm really looking forward to it. read more

I love this Bikram studio!! I've been going there for almost a month. The instructors are really encouraging and helpful not to mention really nice and friendly. The studio is nice and tide, The bathrooms are super clean and there's plenty of space for parking. There's also showers available with shampoo and body wash. I love the location cause Is close to where I live and the cost is very reasonable, they have convenient packages and a good introductory price for first timers. The hardest part about starting with Bikram yoga is to get used to the heat. After a couple of classes you get better at handing the heat and you kind of become better at the yoga poses with the time too. read more

I attended nearly a week's worth of classes at the studio while I was on vacation in February. I really enjoyed this studio. The teachers are warm and friendly, I felt very welcomed even though I was just visiting for a week. When I walked into the lobby, they called me by name starting day two which immediately made me feel very comfortable. The teachers are great and very knowledgeable. I had the opportunity to take a Master class with a guest instructor and it was a very special class where I learned a lot even though I have had a consistent Bikram practice for five years. I like the fact that they offer Master classes with very accomplished yogis where you have a chance to work with an instructor you might otherwise not have access to. At the end of every class while you are enjoying savasana, the instructor gently places a cold, lavender-infused towel on your mat so you can cool yourself down. I have never been to a studio that offers this. It was such a nice surprise and so wonderful -- a very personal touch that really differentiates this studio. The studio is beautiful, very clean and spacious - nice lobby with t-shirts, water bottles and mats for sale. The locker room has lockers so you can stash your things and secure them with a key. I really liked this as it made it easier for me given I was on vacation and didn't bring my own lock. Overall, I had a great experience at this studio and I look forward to going back when we return to Oahu in December. read more
